Decent hotel food, prices not bad considering the area. Great place to get away from the chain restaurants and activity of the harbor, excellent views, and laid back feel. Service was good people very friendly.
I ordered Johnny Walker Black (JWB) scotch which I drink regularly and know very well. The scotch they served me was not JWB. It was not good scotch. When I told the waiter, he was very polite and had the bartender come to my table with a JWB labelled bottle. This scotch they served was not JWB and not even Johnny Walker Red. My presumption is that they are exchanging the scotch in the JWB bottle for some other scotch.
The breakfast buffet was excellent. They had a great variety of hot foods, fruit, pastries, etc. and even had a juicer with suggested recipes. They also offered made-to-order omelets and waffles. There was something for everyone. The price was higher than what we would typically spend on breakfast, but we were on a weekend getaway so I was expecting it. The host seated us at the "best table" with a nice view of the harbor. The waitress checked on us often to keep our drinks filled and make sure we didn't need anything.
Valentines
It was overpriced for the quality of food. We were there for 2.5 hours because it took so long to get our food. The servers kept mixing up orders and bringing the wrong food to the table or they would bring a course before the prior course was supposed to be served.
Slow service
Wait staff did not know the menu.
Was delivered a different salad dressing than what I had requested.
Being with a client i chose not to make it an issue.
Not sure I'll ever come here again.
Marriott needs to make some changes here.
Our server, Ariana, was amazing. She was attentive and was able to suggest great items from the menu. Will definitely be back!
Crab chowder was watery was good and Harvest salad was excellent but fish was dry. Maybe it sat under the heat lamp too long. Crab cakes were not mostly lump. Bread pudding was not flavorful at all. Service was slow and wrong salads were delivered. Bit disappointed. View and ambiance were outstanding.
Don't do this place for New Year's. The portions were small, food quality was poor, service was lousy and prices were exorbitant. Just say no!
The view is beautiful and it's a nice, fancy space to be in. But the food was just very mediocre. We were there for New Years Eve, when they had the prix fixe menu, so were expecting pretty high quality. It wasn't "send back to the kitchen" bad, just generally boring and unsatisfying--- nothing we couldn't have gotten at Applebee's. You pay for the view here, which is fine if that's the only thing that matters.
A wonderful place, food good, service great, total enjoyment.
I would love to thank Tiara (sp?!) and my male host for making sure my night with my daughter is a good one. They didn’t know it but she’s a new psychiatrist and she’s moving out because I told her she couldn’t move with debt. She said she’s ready so I treated her to dinner for Christmas. Thank you to your staff for making my last night with my daughter special. You guys Rock! Tiara (sp?) Thank you!
Our family (6 adults) went to the Watertable for Christmas dinner. No one was at the host/hostess stand. We had made our reservation online at Open Table which was clear and gave us periodic reminders.
After we tracked down a waiter the manager came by and seated us - he was accommodating by putting together some tables to provide our group with a good view of the Inner Harbor.
We ordered from the Xmas special 3 course menu and between us we had 2'of the 3 appetizers, all 3 entrees, and all 3 desserts.
The crab chowder got high ratings - lots of crab and good flavor; harvest salad was fair. The entrees were another story. The meatloaf was strange in taste and texture and the accompanying gravy was the consistency of pudding. The crab cake was decent as were the lamb chops but once again a strange tasting dressing. The desserts were okay and. It was not what you'd expect at such a select restaurant. I kept hearing strange taste for many things.
The service was poor - nice waitress bit seemed like she was overburdened as did the limited staff. Staff was nice but seemed overwhelmed. Our family had a nice time anyway - beautiful views and great setting.
Unfortunately the parking is run by the city and cost the price of a meal! We wonder how this could be affordable!
Merry Christmas!
Only here for 2 days and Watertable was not only the only place I could find with Vegan food made to order but it was all handmade and flavored to PERFECTION!!! Impossible Meatball appetizer with Marinara,Vegan Cheese and Salty Crackers OMG!!!!!! Amazingly Savoring, For my Entree I had the Impossible Burger with Fries and Garlic Broccoli. The burger was handmade seasoned to The heavens TASTED JUST LIKE MEAT! Toppings fresh and the burger was huge! Their seasoned fries were from the perfect potato. It was AMAZING!!! There aged Whiskey is also BAR NONE! That was last night before leaving today to go back home I may go there for lunch!!! Thank you Watertable for keeping Vegan food important and elegant!
Had dinner on a weekend, had no problem making reservations or getting a table. Thinking about it that should have been a signal in busy Baltimore Inner Harbor. We were greeted and seated right away, drink orders and appetizer taken. After that the service was very slow. The drinks we good, not great. I would say the same about the food. Crab cakes pretty average, and I felt the snapper dinner I had was a bit over cooked so too dry. There was lump crab with sauce on top but considering the dryness of the fish the flavor was too bland. And still the service, for a restaurant that was not busy to begin with was slow. We also tried the strawberry shortcake. It had strawberry "flavored" whipped cream and approximately 1 sliced berry alongside a dense pastry of some sort. It was sweet, but I though poorly designed and basically lacked berries. I would not return to this place because there are so many great places to go in the area.
Very pleasant and professional server (Tony), great job. Waited about 45 min for food, too long, while the place was 80% empty, no explanation given.
Food was ok, reasonably good, no thrills, too much added oil to my taste in main dish (salmon) needed to read menu more carefully and ask server how it’s cooked to set the expectations.
Really nice restaurant!
Food very delicious!!!!!!
They were extremely busy and only had two servers. We had little attention and were never offered a second drink. Food was average.
Delicious food and wine. Beautiful view and a great night with friends.
Ambiance, view, food and Server Ariana were all fantastic. Looking forward to going back again.
there was no music in the dining area, which did not improve the lack off ambience considering the general floorplan of this hotel restaurant that very much feels like a hotel resturant. but, the view is lovely, and the food was very good. the staff was nice,
Great view and good food. Service was excellent as well!
View was amazing and manger arranged seating very appropriately! I loved the experience. Would 100% recommend!
Recommend verifying that the restaurant has adequate staff for the time of the reservation!
Very disappointed that although we had a 6 PM reservation, there was no hostess, and only one wait staff who was unable to handle the 6 tables that came in.
The food was adequate, however, not spectacular.
It was convenient since staying in the hotel. Staff was pleasant; however, not very experienced in service. View was very nice overlooking the harbor. Food was delicious and presentation very nice. The biggest downer for me was that it was absolutely freezing and made it unenjoyable to eat. Asked the manager if the heat could be put on and she said “unfortunately, no. Sorry.” I believed that it had something to do with the location of the restaurant and not being able to adjust or turn on the heat yet - not good.
Very pretty view out the window but the overhead lights above the tables were SO very bright (seemed to u dimmable LEDs (?) because they were so bright but the very kind server said she asked and tried to have them dimmed but that if they were dimmed any more they would have to be “out”). This made me feel like I was inside a display case it was that bright! This is why I ranked the ambience rather low, which is too bad cause it has had a great view. The server was wonderful and obviously ver earnest and happy to help, but she seemed to be the only server die the whole restaurant and so there was quite a wait to ask for things or receive them. The food and drinks where very good. And it was convenient of course for us, staying with friends at the Marriott where it is located.
Got a great seat overlooking Inner Harbor. Got the Fried Chicken and Waffles. Highly recommended. Goes great with the selection of jams on the table. Would definitely be willing to eat here again!
Everything was amazing and the staff was friendly and attentive. Brandon is a rock star!
Food was great and we all enjoyed ourselves. I definitely recommend!
Revamp the menu!!!! Great view crappy food! Server was sweet she tried but if you’ve got nothing to work with you can’t do much!
Everything. Fantastic. Crab cake phenomenal
Hosted a business meeting there. Excellent service, nice ambiance, great view.
Great place to take out of town visitors. Good food, friendly service, great value for price and great views! A hidden gem!
The food was fine and it is a pretty location looking out over the harbor but very overpriced for what we had.
Great view, good service and food.
Went on 4th of July to celebrate our Anniversary. Food was bland except for the dessert. You could see the fireworks from the window that was beautiful. I would go back for drinks, dessert, and the fireworks. I will never return for a meal though. PS: don’t go with dressy attire, jeans and a t-shirt should be fine.
I spent 4th of July here and it was an excellent experience and great food and service
Limited menu on 4th July.
The view from the restaurant is beautiful and the restaurant itself is clean and modern but that's where it ends. The service was awful. Although the restaurant was empty when we walked in for our 7:30pm Saturday evening reservation, we stood there at there as a waitress folded napkins at a table looking at us. She eventually spoke but only to ask us if there were 3 of us. When we answered and told her we had a reservation, she finally moved from the table to usher us to sit. We sat for a while (again, empty restaurant) until a waitress came to take our drink orders. We were not given bread at the table until we asked.
The food was sub-par. My friend's fries that came with her crab cake was cold, so we had to ask for it to be reheated, my other friend's steak, which she'd as to be medium was completely well done and borderline charred. So she opted for a burger instead. My Cornish hen was tasteless and the gravy that came with it was bitter.
Overall, there are way better restaurants in Baltimore City with good views. DO NOT waste your time and money going to the Watertable. It's not worth it.
On a good note, the manager came to our table several times to apologize for the many, many mistakes that was made. Nice gesture but we didn't care anymore. The wait staff needs to be friendlier and the kitchen needs help!
This was dinner for a girls night out....the choices were great, the cocktails were delicious and the view was amazing. Everything you need to make a great girls night out a success!
Loved the environment and the people. Felt really appreciative. Great Service!
