My husband and I enjoy coming here. You have a great wine list and lamb chops are my favorite. Dinner is always amazing
Used to be one of our favorite places. Food and service have gone downhill.
The restaurant is great but our waiter seemed unhappy. That is atypical for Watermarc.
Quality of food for the price was hard to swallow.
Watermarc provides the ‘ultimate’ dining experience...great atmosphere (architecture is cool!)...great service, and awesome food, and great wine selection !
Lobster roll- yum! Lamb chops- delicious! Zucchini Naan-tasty! Duck fat fries- Yes Please! Homemade Ding Dongs - too die for. We love this place! Excellent service, atmosphere-
Best oysters in town! Great burgers at 50% off during Happy Hour. Lamb chops were so tender and tasty.
Outstanding food, BLT salad was to die for
Great spot for lunch -- especially if you like wonderful hamburgers. Plenty of other choices if burgers are not your thing. The server was attentive, but didn't hover and we spent a very relaxing lunch escaping the rainy day in Laguna Beach. We'll be back to try other menu items!
We loved the décor, the food, the service and the ambiance.
It was a place where the acoustics were perfect. A balance between conversation and musical selections that matched the atmosphere.
It was a busy night with a high school formal and the weekend before Valentines Day. Watermarc did a very fine job however. Kevin was very knowledgeable about the specials and although he checked on us regularly he was never obtrusive. The shortribs had so much flavor and were large enough to split which we also did with the wedge salad. This was the perfect amount to leave room for some delicious dessert. The apple cake with toffee drizzle was warm, spicey, and moist. We enjoyed our dinner with friends immensely and look forward to the next time we go to Watermarc.
We had a lovely lunch and the waiter was so nice. We will return.
We are so happy we found this restaurant on Open Table, otherwise may have never known about it. I am happy to have the reviews on Open Table, it made choosing a restaurant for my daughters birthday fun and new! We loved the food and the drinks were incredible! Great service and a cool place! Bet I walked by it 100 times! Not anymore!
Busy, but efficient service with interesting and clever take on some traditional food. Great adventure.
Loved it! Would definitely recommend it.
Service and food were great. We were seated by the side door so it was a little chilly when people came in and went out
Great food and great staff. Always enjoy this fine establishment
Date with my husband. Great food and wine.
Service was great. Tiny dining space downstairs so really close to neighboring diners. All good we ordered was perfect -burrata, squash risotto , short ribs, lyonnaise potatoes and the cauliflower ...no room for dessert!
So difficult to find fresh made gnocchi. And it is done so welll. Also they had a nice Turley Zinfandel by the glass. Will be heading back there soon.
Fun, up-beat, great food, not a place for a quiet conversation... but great for 4 or more!
We made a reservation and the host tried to put us in a table with very tight conditions - no I am not fat.
When I asked if we could sit at another two top (there were three others open) she took us upstairs where nobody was sitting. Eventually the room filled so we didn’t feel alone - we can eat at home alone if you get my thinking on this.
The server was a bit grumpy
Food was great
Watermarc has been a favorite lunch spot for several years, and was excited when they recently updated their lunch menu. We enjoyed a nice lunch, and look forward to trying them out for dinner soon.
Stellar service! Great food. Always a nice “buzz“ in the bar and restaurant. Perfect location adjacent to Peppertree Lane.
Excellent server and excellent food.
Nice choices on the menu.
Watermarc is one of my favorite restaurants in Laguna. I live a few blocks away & always take friends from Newport or visitors from out of town here. The cocktails, food, wine and service are always excellent. Thank you, Watermarc staff!
Our first time dining at Watermarc will not be our last. Our server was very knowledgeable and made several great suggestions. The cocktails and food was amazing. Our only negative was that we were upstairs at a center 2-top and felt like we were in a fish bowl.
This place has great food and great service. Right in the heart of Laguna Beach. The service was outstanding! Everyone loved their meal - Mussels, short ribs, pork chop and paella. Go there!
The service and the food at Watermarc is always always great. I work in laguna beach and going to Watermarc for drinks after work is so easy and a no brainer
They were great for our anniversary!
Delicious! Excellent service and food. The naan appetizer was out of this world as was the vegetable paella.
My wife enjoyed our 3rd wedding anniversary at Watermarc (on 02 Jan 19) and we could not have been more pleased we did! The ambience was good and the food and service were terrific! Both the seafood paella (her choice) and the smoked pork chop (mine) were memorable but probably our overall favorite item (we ordered) was the best-ever Brussels sprouts - they a re an absolute "must-have" in our opinion!!
Kevin (our waiter) and Lucy (the manager) were wonderful and we are already looking forward to our next visit!!
Great location, fantastic food. Excellent wine selection. Noisy when crowded. Slightly cramped quarters. All in all great little restaurant.
New Years Eve dinner for two. We’ve dined here before and had a great experience, but were moderately disappointed with the meal and service.
Bar in back. Tables in front. The breakfast menu was short but food was very good. Waiter was 5 stars. The door girl 5 stars. The manager 5 stars. I would go back again.
It was okay but I have had much better for the price. The fish was fishy tasting and really everything was just okay
The strip steak and porkchop were excellent and reasonable value. The house salad was acceptable and reasonably priced although the chef recently eliminated nuts from this salad which was a mistake. The seafood paella was acceptable but the rice was soggy. The waiter recommended the tuscan red which was
well priced and excellent with the steak. The atmosphere is pleasant. All-in-all a solid but not stellar restaurant.
In and out, less than 2 hours. Food was good, service above average. There is parking nearby but you should call and ask them where-I had a meter, but that is hit and miss when crowded in area. Nice free shuttle comes by, so you can park away, maybe free, somewhere and get to see the great high view of the ocean 35' below. We had the salad with lamb chops to start, then I had Fish (halibut) and cole slaw (the worst item-just too healthy, only shredded cabbage). should have tried another side. My niece had the salad nicoise with salmon. Iced tea was passion fruit, I'd have preferred regular black tea.
Menu is very rich and food was quite greasy. Too many other good choices in the area
Wonderful food as usual. Everyone at our table loved their dish.
We had a nice selection of cocktails and great service. Setting upstairs is often more quiet than the downstairs.
