My husband and I had dinner with my parents on a quiet Monday night. Our starter salads were excellent and our entrees were delicious. I had the beet and goat chees salad with the salmon for dinner. I enjoyed both.
Delightful evening. fine food and excellent service
It was for lunch that we went. A table near the fireplace was requested and the Inn accommodated the request through Open Table. Various starters were ordered at the table. I had the cauliflower soup (soup du jour) which was very good, and not too thick. Two (of the four in our party) had half salads which they commented were good. I had the the turkey club which had a good amount of turkey with a side of fries - which was quite sufficient for lunch. One person at our table had salad with chicken, another had the prime rib sandwich which was more than they could finish. All in all the quality of the food was very good, and the service was excellent. I would recommend the Washington Crossing Inn for lunch!
We were celebrating my fiancé s birthday at Washington Crossing Inn- we wanted quiet & romantic & it was that while sitting in front of the fireplace. Our waitress was personable and attentive. Our meals were most delicious- we enjoyed the appetizer to the main course. We had no room for dessert, but the cappuccino was perfect!
Beautiful place - great friendly service - delicious food . Definitely going back
Great outdoor dining and bar. Food was excellent. Classic american fare in a classic, historic setting. Sat on the patio for dinner the first nice day of spring. the forsythia were in full bloom. Good beer list. Service was good. Try one of the pork chops...
Wonderful place. Food was fantastic, service was impeccable.
Enjoyed the ambiance and the food and service was very good. Comparative price was a slight bit high. The only negative was that our meals were not hot. Seemed like it may have been sitting for awhile before they were delivered to the table, however, we did enjoy the meal. If it should happen in the future we will send it back for reheating.
Everything was perfect from the food to the service. Would definitely go to again
Highly recommend The Washington Crossing or pear salads. Our server, Mike, was excellent.
Had a nice night out but wasn’t that impressed but the waitress was very nice and did a good job.
Lovely historic inn with great ambience. Special themed menu including afternoon tea, lunch by the fire and holiday meals.
A wonderful experience. Great value and food from start to finish.
The food was very good in a quiet atmosphere. A good place for a special occasion.
Food is delicious, although menu is somewhat limited.
We stopped by only expecting to have a drink at the bar but realized we were hungry, and so ended up in the dining room for an early (5:00pm) dinner ; we were glad that we did! The bar area was small and cozy and we enjoyed the drink options. Dinner was delicious and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend!
My wife and I celebrated our 22nd wedding anniversary there and the food and service was fantastic! One of the best meals we’ve ever had. Jen and Lady made sure it was a memorable experience and were very attentive to our every need.
We went for Sunday Brunch. Food was very good and the selections were many. However the wait staff was not attentitve as it was difficult to get coffee or tea, I had to ask the bus people to send over the waitress several times. I think the management should either train the staff better or put on more staff for the brunch. Other than that, we would return as the experience was mostly delightful.
As always the food is freat. We went for their pre fix lunch they have during the winter. for $14.95 you get a 3 course meal. Be careful though, anything extra is at the normal menu price, so if they offer you anything, ask the price. We had Garlic bread instead of rolls, and two sodas, and it cost $16.00, more than the price of the three course lunch. Great place though, we are regulars and will go back again soon.
We try to eat there several times a year. It was the night of the two-day Nor'easter and because it was our anniversary we do not want to cancel and I'm glad we did not my dinner was perfect and so was my husband's. Have to say never had a bad meal here. We sat in front of the fireplace which was perfect for our anniversary dinner and the service was fabulous always and looking forward to returning to this restaurant
It is a very quaint restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff is very friendly and attentive.
40rh wedding anniversary great service good food great table. Thank you
We had a very nice dinner and the service was excellent. A wonderful setting and right near a fireplace. Loved it.
we had a wonderful time as usual. the food was excellent and our waitress gave us plenty of time in between courses which is important to me. we have eaten in almost every room now and they are all very nice.
We went for high tea. The waitress asked if we had been there before and explained how the meal would be served. She was attentive, the tea and food were delicious and presented beautifully. The atmosphere was excellent.
As always, WCI was great. Delicious, well prepared food, clean & lovely ambiance. I took away 1 Star from service for not having a soup spoon at the table when my guest was given his soup. Was not brought with the soup either, we had to ask for it. Other than that, everything was great !
Although most of the meal was good, the veal chop special was not only small but not a good piece of meat. It was gristly and veal is not supposed to be like that. It cost $48 So should have been a tender large chop. Very disappointing. Will not go back.
We had our Valentine's Day dinner here and it was spectacular! The food was amazing and the portions were just right. We'll definitely be back.
As always the Inn was amazing. The food was delicious, the service excellent and the ambiance exquisite. This was not my first time at the Inn I go there often for lunch as well as dinner and have never been disappointed.
Great food and Service!
I was there for Valentine's day and there was a fixed menu, everything from appetizers to dessert was wonderful, I would highly recommend this restaurant, the service was awesome.
I have eaten here twice, once for lunch and once for Valentine's Day.
I highly recommend The Washington Crossing Inn... The food is delicious, the service is amazing, everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is fantastic!
Went for Valentines Day lunch with my husband, we had a great time. Excellent food and ambiance, and our Waiter Mike was fantastic. You also left with a red rose, very nice touch.
The table was not set properly. Only 2 butter dishes at our table for four and there was no salt or pepper. Our server was not very attentive. Food was just OK.
The hostess Hillary made sure we were seated by the fireplace as requested. Our waitress Jenn T. was wonderful. Our food was delicious - duck confit and grilled lamb chops particularly and the ginger, curry and hot pepper mussels were outstanding. Overall, a lovely evening.
Great as always!
Love the Inn's atmosphere--the food is outstanding!
We could t ha e had a nicer meal. Wonderful food. Wonderful service. And a fascinating building filled with tons of history.
I've been coming to your restaurant for 50+ years and have always found everything to be wonderful - good food, good service, great ambiance. We were not aware though that the Sunday lunch was a buffet - we all had our hearts set on your menu items. I think it would be wise that the person taking reservations advise that Sunday lunch is a buffet. For the first time, I was disappointed with your food. The chicken and salmon were dry, the roast beef was tasteless and tough. Another problem was that one of us is on a gluten free diet and the choices were rather limited. Again, in 50 years, this is the first negative experience I have had. I certainly will not take one bad experience and write you off. I will be back.
