At VIVO Kitchen, we set the table for that possibility every day. It’s why everything on your plate was prepared only moments before it landed there, from ingredients brought straight from the source. It’s why we keep it local by building relationships with our neighboring farmers. Because we’re proud to be part of our South Metro neighborhood—and we want everything we do inside our four walls to open up wonderful possibilities for the people outside them, too.

Yummy food but a bit expensive. Great service as our service had a good sense of humor.
Awesome, healthy...great food! Service very good and wonderful atmosphere!
Wonderful meal , service was good, training was taking place but very well done.
Had the Rock Greens without the spinach but it was still good. Added the salmon which was wonderful. Half price wine make it a "happy" hour!
Steak was very good but the mashed potatoes that went with it were very over seasoned. We couldn't even eat them. Not normal at this restaurant. Have never had anything bad there before so just chalking it up to one bad dish.
Requested a nice table as I was bringing new friends that had never been. Not impressed with table by kitchen.
Very few good options for vegetarians or vegans
Unimpressive menu for prices
What a great find! The bar area was loud, but we were seated in the lower dining room next to a window so it didn't bother us. I really appreciate that the menu offers two plate sizes on some of the menu items. LOVED the Parmesan Shrimp! I look forward to having it again. We'll definitely be back!
Grear food! Burger was juicy and not overdone wonderful Harvest Salad added piece of filet mignon done perfectly
VIVO has become too expensive for a night out ($29 for meatloaf ?) and it’s extremely noisy and does not have a lot of menu selections in fish - won’t go back
Great food and service (thanks, Jenny). We will be back soon.
The cocktails were wonderful, and I highly recommend the salads and the app Brussels !!!
We go to VIVO a lot but tonight our service was really 6 star.
Had a great time!
Vivo is becoming one of my favorite places for dinner. The food was very good, the service was superb and the overall appeal is so comfortable. We really enjoyed our meal.
I review VIVO Kitchen every visit and this has to be close to our 30 visit. This experience was very difficult to accomplish. Every visit the service is great, but with Noah, it was exceptional, as it always is with him. We also received incredible service from Jasmine who supported Noah, providing us with service before we knew we needed that particular service.
I rarely mention the food as it is always the best we’ve experienced anywhere in the Twin Cities region. Tonight I am going to HIGHLY recommend the scallop entree. It is different from the appetizer. The scallop dish comes with small neck clams resting on the best clam chowder experienced anywhere in the world (and we do travel the world).
Vivo Kitchen is our go-to place for the highest quality food and service anywhere!
It was a fantastic meal as always and great service!!
The menu selection did not have many healthy choices.
We recently had delightful service from Jordan L. 😀
We've been to Vivo before and it was decent. Since it is in our neighborhood I took my wife there for her 50th Birthday, since she wanted to stay close to home on a Tuesday night. We started with the crab cakes. They were AWFUL. WAAAY too salty. We ordered a different appetizer to try to rid ourselves of the taste. The salads were good. Nothing special was done for my wife's 50th birthday. "Sorry about that" was what we got for inedible crab cakes. Next time we'll either do fast casual or drive out of the neighborhood.
Disappointed in the crab cakes
Too loud in there. We were quite a distance from the bar but very loud voices and music.
Great service! Food was overpriced. Doolittle’s, Chianti Grill and Porter Creek all provide better value, with delicious food and equally great service.
Andi R was our server - she was absolutely amazing and gave us the best experience within this restaurant. The food was astonishing - it was like 15 different flavors in your mouth that completely complimented each other. We will recommend this to everyone - and to top it off they completely support their military
One of a kind restaurant that we will definitely be coming back to. And just so you know this was Valentines Day and my husband and I never go out on this day due to food prep. Huge shout out to this chef and staff you completely rocked it.
We’ve always liked the atmosphere and venue. We both ordered the filet as medium. My wife’s was cooked well and mine was medium well. The cut of meat was good but it was way over cooked. It had good flavor was just overdone and we do not like sending food back. The crab cakes were salty and a bit light on the crab meat and was mostly breading. Was a bit turned off when we attempted to add a different side when the waitress said the chef would not allow it.
We made a reservation for a Valentine's Day date, pre-theater. We arrived and were seated promptly. Our server was excellent - took the time to clearly describe the evening's specials. We ordered three small plates for the two of us and it was more than enough food. "Cupid's Mule" was an extremely well-balanced and tasty cocktail! We will be back.
Normally the food is always good, but my wife ordered the Linguine special and it was tasteless and almost inedible.
We always have such a great experience coming here. We knew right away that this was the place we wanted to spend our Valentine's day and even got to bring home with us a cute rose wine topper for a keepsake. Thank you for making our evening so special.
Have been to this restaurant many times. My friend & I had a long lunch & were getting ready to leave, however because of Valentines Day ww were rudely asked to leave, even though the restaurant was empty at 3:45 in the afternoon.
VIVO continues to impress with every visit. Perhaps it’s the seasonal menu. Perhaps it’s the locally sourced farm-fresh ingredients they use. All I know is that every visit has been an experience.
In Europe, dinners are typically a two-hour experience but in the States I think we’ve become used to getting in, eating, and then leaving so another couple can enjoy the experience. At Vivo, while they are always busy, for some reason we have never felt rushed. We enjoyed the appetizers, drank some wine, and had a pleasant conversation by the time the meal was presented. Our server, Jeff A. Was spectacular and was responsible for assuring us an incredible evening.
As far as the food is concerned, Chef Dan is not a cook. He is an artist. Each dish prepared has his signature which assumes a tremendous amount of responsibility. No, Chef Dan is not a cook, he and his team are Chefs who go beyond all expectations.
Thank you one and all for a most incredible dining experience once again!
Have been here twice and had same server both times. Everything was great. Was there early (about 5:30 so was quite but things were picking up fast as we left.
Jordan was great! Funny, engaging and energetic!
Wonderful food and service. Chef Dan does an outstanding job creating dishes that always satisfy.
Delicious crab cakes, arugula and quinoa salad and lasagna. Really loud though. Almost uncomfortable.
I’ve taken my little girl here for the past 4 years...annual Daddy Daughter Dance...and the staff has always been fantastic to promote the occasion.
Daughter loves the food and how fancy it looks.
Over priced food and drinks. No happy hour in the dining room. Service was outstanding however.
A nice meal out. We had a wonderful waiter, Justin. Lots of fun. There could be more vegetarian options on the menu.
