Visconti's - Leavenworth Ratings and Reviews
Enjoyed our tenth anniversary dinner here. I will note that I used open table and made a couple requests, which they didn’t look at (table location, congrats on anniversary etc). Other than that, it was a terrific meal with great flavors and friendly staff.
We dined at Visconti's over the holidays and enjoyed a romantic meal overlooking downtown Leavenworth. The wine list was extensive and the food was authentic Italian and delicious. Was a little crowded but we were seated on time with a reservation. Prices were also a tad steep but it's definitely worth it. Highly recommend the butternut squash ravioli with sage butter for the entree and white chocolate raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Saluti!
Great Italian cuisine ! Service and food were spot on even though the walk in wait
was four hours. Our table was waiting for us .thanks to open table. The quality of food was as if they the were not completely packed . The chef and kitchen staff must have their act together. We always make sure we take in Visconti's when in Leavenworth.
This restaurant never disappoints! We made reservations for dinner and were promptly seated. The service was outstanding, and we received drinks, appetizers, and the main course promptly. We were there during the lighting weekend for Christmas, and they were very busy. It didn’t stop them from having excellent service. We look forward to eating here every year.
Attended the Winterfest in Leavenworth and we were encouraged to book a place in advance. Great advice. We were seated 3 minutes ahead of our reservation time. Other dropins had to wait and unfortunately the restaurant could not give them a specific wait time due to the crowd - they did their best! Wiat staff was prompt and friendly despite the crowd. We enjoyed a full meal and very good drinks. The Lemon Crab linguini was outstanding - tasty and not too heavy. Also enjoyed the lasagna and a mushroom dish. All were warm and delicious. Will visit again and recommend for folks. But on a crowd weekend - be sure to book in advance.
Took my wife out to dinner to celebrate our 13th Wedding Anniversary. Annotated that under special reasons for dining using Open Table, no recognition upon check-in.
On a Thursday night arrived @ 6:55 for our 7 PM reservation, advised we’d need to wait for our table until it was closer to our reservation time, OK. Seated within ten (10) minutes, so OK.
Our waitress never introduced herself merely walked up and asked if we were, “ready to order yet.” We were not and asked her to return in a few minutes....she did, yet still never introduced herself.
The drinks were tasty my wife particularly enjoyed her Grapefruit Ricky (highly recommend). The food was generally quite tasty however it was terribly timed. Her salad and my soup arrived before we were finished with our appetizer. Our dinner arrived while our still unfinished appetizers were still on the table and our soup/salad course wasn’t even halfway consumed. It was not returned to the kitchen, merely room was made for the extra plates on our two top table.
By the time we finished our soup/salad (~ 10 minutes) our pasta was basically room temperature, have been served on cold plates. Still the food was generally tasty; my wife enjoyed her butternut squash ravioli and I my pasta Bolognese.
The desert menu was offered when I was ~ 3/4 done with my pasta, my wife had already finished.
Our reservation was for 7 PM, we had paid our check by 8:20. When we left the house was less than half full and still open for another hour.
I am fundamentally disappointed and quite dissatisfied. Perhaps the front staff and kitchen were having an off night. Perhaps, perhaps, perhaps...
I would not recommend this establishment for a special event meal.
My wife and I chose to spend our Anniversary in Leavenworth to enjoy the a Christmas Lights and local flavor...
Our experience at Visconti's was lovely. The service was prompt and the food was delicious. I especially recommend the Ragu alla Bolognese. My kids kept stealing bites of my dinner because it was so yummy. The highlight of our experience though, was when the manager brought gelato for our 3 kids. They were thrilled! We will definitely be back the next time we are in Leavenworth!
We were able to book a reservation, scheduled for immediately after the tree lighting ceremony on our way to Leavenworth!! 2 pm booked. 5pm enjoying.
The ambiance took our breath away. Christmas lights everywhere, very soft lighting. We got seated by a window.
Our server was so-so. She was nice but not really offering anything...for example, a couple seated behind us had a server who was really attentive..asked if they were comfortable, offered for them to ask about specials and recommendations, offered them 3 cheeses with their entree. It's those little things that boost the experience.
That being said, food was absolutely delicious and served quickly and it was just enough (not too heavy). Would go back!
Someone needs to have the fire department check this place out on weekend evenings. They need to keep people (supposedly) waiting for tables downstairs. There were so many people sitting and even sleeping on the stairwell that you couldn’t get up or down. I marked this one good for people watching because my table had a view of exhausted families sitting on the floor holding their sleeping children. Food was good, however came out in this order: main entree first, bread and oil second, cocktails third, and appetizers last.
My husband and I took the snow train from Everett. Our time in Leavenworth was limited due to the late departure. I was so glad that I had reservations to Viscontis. We didn`t know what to expect when we arrived in Leavenworth as far as availability to have lunch. We checked in with the staff at Viscontis and were told to return at the time of our reservation. There were so many people waiting in line to get in, but when we returned at our reservation time, we were seated right away. The service was excellent, our waitress apologized for the length of time it was taking to get our meal. We had cocktails and a appetizer and was not even aware that our meal was late. Our meal was excellent, I had the steak and my husband who is a vegetarian had the butternut squash.
It was very pleasant and I would recommend that if you are riding the snow train that you make reservations, if you want a good meal and not have to wait in the long lines in order to rest.
Friends and I met in beautiful Leavenworth for a day of fun and shopping. We decided to enjoy a variety of appetizers to share together and we were NOT disappointed. The server had great suggestions for how much food we would need and also recommended some different cheeses to try. I would not usually expect a good cocktail at an Italian restaurant, given their fabulous wine list, but we opted for holiday cocktails. The bartender whipped up a superb chocolate martini (not on the cocktail list) which we thoroughly enjoyed!
Was able to reserve a table here on the day of the tree lighting festival...we were extremely late for our reservation and the restaurant somehow managed to squeeze us in despite being packed to the gills! They were so kind and efficient. The butternut squash ravioli and antipasti salad were excellent. The chicken Parmesan was average, but we were so thrilled to have a warm meal on a cold day that it didn’t matter...I would go back again for sure!
Our friends recommended this restaurant to us so we were really excited to try it out. We felt like they were herding cattle trying to get as many people in and out as quickly as possible. We received horrible table service, not even getting refills on our $3 sodas. They were sitting 6 people at 4 tops and telling other customers they have to finish within 1 hour because they need the table for other people. It was extremely loud and chaotic and the area between the host desk and the dining room is a very tight squeeze. We wanted to order dessert but weren't even give the option.
Food was delicious and the service was phenomenal. Enjoyed it so much, and there were so many other amazing meals on the menu, we ended up eating there the following day for lunch and dinner as well! Atmosphere was perfect. A little pricey, but worth the experience! Highly recommend the Frutta de Mare. Pizza was amazing and Italia authentic, as well. Wish this place was closer to home, I'd definitely be a regular! A must try for Leavenworth, WA!
The pork chop was raw. They reheated it but it was still not cooked through. They did take it off the bill. The cannelonie was very good. The Bolognese was blah as was the crab pasta dish...lacked flavor! The $28 bottle of Malbec was marked up to $58! The dipping oil for the bread was blah. A touch of balsamic vinegar added to it would have made a huge improvement. The Caesar salad was delicious! Won't eat here again.
A very relaxed feel. You could wear casual as in jeans and dress shirt or go more refined with a jacket and still not stick out. The steaks are aged well and cooked exactly as ordered. The Italian selections are very good and well prepared. I highly recommend the "Wood Oven Clams". The service is great and the prices are comparable with Leavenworth. All in all I would recommend Visconti's to anyone visiting or passing thru Leavenworth.
