Very good southern “home cooked” food. Recommend the fried chicken and mac and cheese.
Awesome experience. The service was great! Everyone was very kind and helpful. The food was very good overall and the portions were huge!
Food was delicious. Service great, very personable.
Getaway weekend with my Kim! Everything was sooo good!
The Shrimp and Grits, mixed green salad and even the cornbread was excellent! My one and only complaint is that my banana pudding was missing the bananas and caramel but it was still tasty!
The seafood platter was excellent with exception of the crab cake. The fish, shrimp and scallops were cooked to perfection and the breading was to die for. I had their fried chicken special in the past and I consider it one of the best in Charleston. Overall it’s good excellent food at good prices. Friendly and competent staffing.
I'd be willing to try it again, maybe it was just an off night. But, food came out cold, specifically, the mashed potatoes and meatloaf. Just tasted like it had been sitting in the back waiting to be warmed up and served. Other than that it was nice. Great service, nice and clean, and located right on King.
Need more spacing of patrons. I’m sure they took tables out of the middle of the room, but every booth was occupied. I’ve been to other restaurants where it is every other. Sat in a front corner window, that was okay.
Food was good. Service was a bit slow because it was crowded. Noise level was high.
Food was authentic southern and delicious. Server was terrific, she gave us some great advice on how to order.
Highly recommend!
The Crab cake Benedict was wonderful, eggs were perfect.
They were very accommodating with my special diet and food was great!
Went to Virginia's on New Year's Day for the "lucky meal." Our waitress, Octavia, was
outstanding, knew exactly what we wanted, and ensured that we got it, even though
it wasn't exactly on the luncheon menu. The food was delicious, and the entire staff
made the experience delightful.
This was an easy walk from our hotel. Made a reservation for brunch at 10am, walked in and immediately taken to our table. Tyler was an awesome waiter, polite and professional! Will definitely go back when we visit Charleston.
Great place to eat. Staff was very friendly. We had a reservation and they accommodated our seating preferences, and we were seated very quickly. The waitress was very attentive and the food was incredible.
Wonderful place. Awesome service. Great food.
Excellent service and social distancing! Tyler made us feel like we were dining in his home. Very attentive and the food was wonderful, so much so, we went back again for breakfast the next day!
We had brunch here and it was amazing!!! Would recommend!
Yuck. “Brunch” couldn’t hold a candle to Waffle House.
Service was extremely slow and uncaring. The hostess at the door was sullen and insulting when we arrived early. We waited until our reserved time and were seated. It took more than 30 minutes to get food to the table. Two omelettes and coffee. We waited for coffee refills, waited for our check and finally left cash as the server never returned for our bill. For a breakfast place, I would look elsewhere.
Wonderful Southern food. Very large portions. Stick to your rubs.
We had lunch. The food was great and the service very good. She was attentive and hospitable. The building is historical and in a great location. Definitely recommend the grits bowl and chicken with waffle dishes.
Christmas Eve
I cannot say enough great things about this place. My husband and I are on our honeymoon and booked a breakfast at this restaurant after meeting a real estate agent who highly recommended it. We booked through opentable and mentioned we were newlyweds and received complimentary mimosas. The fried chicken was incredible! We loved the food and service. Definitely a must for breakfast in Charleston
Our first experience was wonderful. Nikki, our waitress, could not have been nicer.
Such friendly and helpful staff! Attitude is everything and the hostess and servers were all wonderful!
The best part of our Sunday Brunch was the outstanding service of Nicki our server. She was extremely helpful and courteous during our Sunday visit. The hostess was also very friendly. The food was ok, but could have been better.
Great food, even better service! If you’re looking for a classic southern restaurant, look no further than Virginia’s on king! Our waitress provided thoughtful recommendations and excellent service. The crab cakes eggs Benedict was delicious, served with a side of yummy home fries. We will be back!
Very good place to go if you want a quiet and very good meal in sea of nonsense on kings
Everything about it was great. Went for brunch on Thanksgiving.
Great food and wonderful service.
Had the BEST fried chicken dinner I’ve ever tasted!! It was the special on a Thursday night. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this restaurant!!
It was awesome!
Very good brunch. Had “The” omelette was really good. Also, if you love onions, must try the onion casserole! Service was great. Would definitely recommend. Tyler was awesome.
The Mac and cheese was out of this world!
Went for Brunch. This is hands down one of the best Brunch spots in Charleston. The service is always very good. The food never disappoints. The provided masks and tables were socially distanced. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Can get single items if you want.
We were in the mood for pancakes but got so much more and everything was delicious. I ordered a blt sandwich and the waitress recommended the Mac and cheese as a side. I’ve never had good Mac and cheese from any restaurant- this was freaking amazing!!!!
Fantastic brunch, what a great find!!
Great place to take guests from off- authentic low country fare, wonderful southern hospitality & service.
We very much enjoyed our anniversary brunch! The shrimp and grits were perfect as well as my husband's chicken and waffles.
