Disappointing visit...no Soy milk? Really, this is 2020. An order of toast consists of one piece of bread? We had to ask for Jelly as it was not included with toast and biscuits. Food was good and place is very pretty. we had 9 AM reservations and got served quickly.
Good food and enjoyable evening.
Lunchtime for five adults and it was good. Salads, a meatloaf plate, and a fried chicken plate were all tasty. Service was above average (but not attentive) since we had to ask for water and tea refills along with replacement flatware for main course after an appetizer. The venue is inviting with lovely artwork. We will return to enjoy again.
Delicious and service was impeccable. Did not feel like we were rushed for them to flip a table like sometimes happens. Great location to the music hall.
Great fried chicken!!
We had Deviled Eggs, Fried Oyster Salad and their famous Fried Chicken with Mac & Cheese and Cream Corn.
Everything was Spot On and our server was excellent.
We finished with Banana Pudding. YUM

Food is simply not good. $200 wasted. Would definitely not recommend this one.
Very good place to eat. The Red Snapper special was cooked perfectly. Booked a reservation at the last minute and they easily accommodated us.
Great Southern food.
Three cheers to server Octavia!
Outstanding Service and Excellent Food
Service was excellent, food was fantastic
I had the chicken pot pie. It was HUGE! I took most of it home, and had two more meals from the leftovers. Really, that's just silly. Why not cut the price and the portion in half?
PHENOMENAL!! Fried Chicken was great! Server Nicholas was awesome as well!
A very enjoyable experience and refreshing to find a restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. I tried the shrimp and grits...one of the very best I have had anywhere!
i recently had brunch at virginias on king st. and i really enjoyed it. it is friendly, unique, casual and a fun place. food and service was great. a real pleasure. i highly recommend.
New Year’s Day, very busy
We were seated right away, thanks to our reservation for brunch, but due to holiday were very busy.
Was a great place! Food was a bit salty but that may have had todo more with our northern palates! My son loved his mac and cheese and my mom wouldn’t stop talking about the Grits! Would definitely go back!
Cold fries, cold grilled cheese, cold toast on BLT and pimento cheese was frigid. Never came back to refill drinks.
Thank you for the rating. We appreciate your taking the time and the feedback. We take service and our cuisine seriously, we will be in touch soon. - Holy City Hospitality & Events by Good Food
Great food in a very convenient but festive atmosphere.
Delicious food! We loved it! We were a little disappointed about no longer having the alcoholic ice cream though.
Loved eating here! Our server, i believe her name was Jessica, had the best attitude and was so sweet. Will be dreaming about their fried green tomatoes and oyster po boy for quite some time.
Convenient location on King Street. Nice back story and good food with ample portions. Very laid back atmosphere. Great lunch spot.
My family and I were there for the first with a frequent guest. We had breakfast early on Sunday morning before the rush. Nick, our server was cordial and accommodating. I was encouraged to try the fried chicken but opted for shrimp and grits. It was outstanding! The shrimp were fresh, andouille was not overpowering and the grits flavorful. Just perfect! Tried a chicken breast and it was also wonderful. My grandkids loved the pancakes too. I can’t wait to go back.
Service and atmosphere were great! We were there early for breakfast. Nice menu, big portions and good coffee
Food was excellent and service was fantastic
Christmas Eve lunch with family
Good food (fried okra amazing). Huge portions, but as we were told: “you are in the South, we don’t want you to go hungry”
Food was just OK. There are much better quality restaurants in the area for similar price.
Excellent service and food with a great location.
Our server Octavia was amazing! Wonderful service. Friendly atmosphere and delicious food!
Nicole, our server, was delightful and made us feel right at home! Everyone was friendly and welcoming and the food was excellent breakfast fare. We’ve dined quite a few times at Virginia’s but never for breakfast. It may become our new favorite in-town destination!
Server took a good while to get to us /acknowledge us.
A very convenient location if staying at Hotel Bennet. The food is great and more homestyle than most of CHS. We will return.
Unfortunately, diner was not up to our expectations, but in all fairness to the restaurant they tried their best and adjusted the check appropriately. As we are out-of-towners and don't get to Charleston on a regular basis, we would certainly give it another try when the opportunity presents itself. The service was very good and the management treated us with great respect despite the difficulties.
Very nice and very good Southern food. Prices reasonable for downtown. If you order the Chicken Pot Pie, it is VERY Good but huge, It is as big as a Pie you buy in a store., it is made in a pie tin.. 1 can easily serve 2 people.
Great ham breakfast but biscuits were stale and hard. We will give them another chance next visit.
I had heard such good things about Virginia's and was looking forward to trying it. Twice in the last week I have eaten there. The first night, a Monday, I had the fried chicken. It had a good flavor but part of the skin was blackened. The green beans were mediocre but the mashed potatoes were good. The portions were generous. The service was good and the waitress helpful with our group of five that took a while to assemble.
The second time I dined at Virginia's was on a Wednesday night before attending the Christmas Musical around the corner. Decided to go with two starters instead of an entree. The she crab soup had a lot of crab in it and was very tasty. Just a little thinner in texture than I am used to. My sister-in-law like the thinner version. My second started was the tomato pie. It was no good at all. There was hardly any crust, few tomatoes and loaded with too much cheese. I could hardly eat it. The crust that was there was burned on the edges. My husband and brother had the chicken fried steak. My husband said that it wasn't very good, tough and parts were inedible. My sister-in-law had the catfish and grits. The portion was gracious and I tasted the fish and thought it was very good. The crust was just right and the fish very meaty and tasty.
I am glad to have this opportunity to let you know of our disappointment because I believe Virginia stopped by our table to ask how things were and I felt badly for her and was too embarrassed to tell her what we thought.
Great staff & food. We will be back.
Everything was wonderful, my meatloaf was a bit cold, but the excellent service made up for that.
