Mac/lobster is usually excellent. Recipe change was not good!! Too Smokey! Seasoning was too much!! Won’t have it atVintana again!!
Had an awesome experience! Great service and beautiful space!
Got the last time for the day, great experience!
good food and excellent service in dining room, noise was elevated in bar area
On a rainy day, the upscale comfort of their tomato bisque and grilled cheese brighten the day for me.
It was good as usual. Went for the Tuesday date night. They were very accommodating. Quick to get reservations and great view seating. We always like this place and live in Escondido so it is a great fancy place close by. Impeccable service (perfect and professional without being snooty) as usual which is the best part of the experience in my opinion.
To be a bit critical of the food ... the salmon was a bit overcooked and not moist as it could have been but kudos for an outstanding portion size! Wondering if there is a new chef as the food, which modified doesn't have the usual flare (nit picky, everything was still great). Also I am so over those popovers though I suppose other like them. Dessert -- key lime --was amazing and the drinks outstanding as usual! The whole thing couldn't have been nicer and we love this place.
We were a group of six, fathered together to celebrate two birthdays. Three of us ordered the blackened shrimp lettuce wraps. One of the three didn’t care for the seasoning. The other two people liked the wraps and were happy with the level of heat. One person ordered the fish and chips with a side of fruit instead of the jalapeño cole slaw. Another person ordered the Mediterranean salad which she enjoyed.
Oddly enough, bread wasn’t served with our meals. However, when asked if bread was available, our waiter did bring out delicious bread and crostini with regular and jalapeño butter. The jalapeño butter is one of my favorite items.
Our waiter was excellent and was very attentive and helpful. The finishing touch was his presentation of small birthday desserts (raspberry mousse in chocolate shells), complete with candles, to the two individuals who were celebrating.
Vintana is one of my favorite restaurants in inland north county. This lunch did not disappoint.
I didn't care for my entree, but everyone else liked / loved their food. And I always enjoy going to Vintana.
We have been to Vintana for happy hours a few times, but this was the first time my husband and I had dinner. We were seated immediately and water was brought to us. We each ordered a drink—one of the signature martinis for my husband and a Deep Eddy Peach on the rocks for me—and both were refreshing. While we waited for our meals, we were offered a delicious popover. For entrees, my husband ordered the short rib with a side of herbed fries. Delicious! I had the pan grilled salmon which came with whipped parsnip. The dish usually comes with quinoa, but I substituted grilled asparagus for that. My husband and i both “cleaned our plates.” We will definitely be back.
no comment the experience was great I recommended.
We were 45 minutes early for our 8pm reservation, we decided to wait outside and get a glass of wine, sat down asked for a wine list and selected our choices, to bad our waiter never came back until 7:55 pm, by then we were ready to be seated for dinner. Ordered wine with dinner, ordered our dinner, refilled our own wine glasses(server was MIA) dinner was delivered, server checked on us as soon as we got our food and then didn’t see her until she brought our check, food is always good here service has taken a nose dive
A great place to dine. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. The menu is very interesting with many different dishes. Service was a little slow but it was a busy night for the restaurant. Sharing the venue with a car dealership is different and makes parking and entry to the building little confusing for first timers.
Quality food as always
The food was excellent and our waiter was pleasant, professional and extremely nice. We had a wonderful meal and visit with our friends.
Great dinner !!
We love the idea of a restaurant over a car dealership!
The wait staff is terrific. The food is cooked the way we like it
and the mud pie is delicious!
I would definitely recommend Ventana to all my friends.
I love this restaurant! The food was wonderful, our server was great and we "never" felt rushed. That's important since we were entertaining guests.
Great job Vintana!! I look forward to our next visit.
VERY disappointed. The restaurant is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm kind of a foody so I know good food and good taste. The sea bass was mushy. The scallops were over cooked (over seared) and had gone bitter. I had NEVER tasted that in a scallop before. Two of the 5 scallops were not overcooked and were not bitter so it wasn't me. One dish thats bad is forgivable but both? Not okay. Now, the server did bring us a new dish of short ribs since it came out fast and only charged us for one meal, so that was nice. However, I would have rather had two great meals and paid! Again, very disappointed. Please, please, please Vintana, fix this! What a beautiful restaurant with an amazing vibe. A new chef perhaps?
Always delicious food, great service and ambiance 👌🏻
Had a great time with friends. Everyone enjoyed the date night menu. Nice to have the upgrade choices.
Chef Christina is the best! Our server was wonderful. The food was beyond amazing!!!
We went to Vintana for my birthday lunch and had an excellent experience. Would definitely come back here and bring friends / family!
Amazing ambiance and atmosphere. Portion size is underwhelming, but preparation is good. Service was good also.
Went to celebrate a birthday. The food was good / a bit over priced but nice venue. The service started out well getting seated, but took longer and longer for our party of 4 to get drinks, order, and receive food. After the food came, we didn't see our server for a good 20 minutes. No drink refills until about 10 minutes after plates were cleared. Did receive a birthday dessert, but had to hunt down someone to get utensils to eat it, and another 30 minutes to get the check.
Food is subpar for the price.
We celebrated my moms 65th birthday here. Dinner was exceptional, surprise dessert was a treat, and the staff were all lovely.
I ordered the sea bass; this was the best piece of fish I've had in years! The presentation was excellent also.
Excellent food and service.
Most of the menu items were gluten and dairy based. I avoid both, and they accommodated me with a very good salmon dish. Service was excellent, servers were friendly. My date very much enjoyed her lobster Mac and cheese, though she could only eat a relatively small amount because it was quite heavy. But the flavors were great!
Addie was an amazing server. Friendly and attentive.
Our meals were all great weather the date night or regular menu.
I would recommend Vantana to anyone looking for great food and fun atmosphere.
Interesting dining place. We are very glad we stumbled across this venue. A must see and dine. Must be awesome in the summertime.
It was a Sunday, but the service provided by our attendant duo was slow; one was likely in training, so service was more like half well done than doubly done. Please don’t keep us waiting 15 minutes for our first round! Then my $45 16oz. New York steak had too much gristle. It was nicely cooked but needed much trimming.
Service was pretty slow. Server checked with us right when expeditor brought food but did not come back until we had finished eating for at least 15 minutes.
Such a little gem to enjoy in North County San Diego.
Excellent service throughout the evening. It started with a window seat for a intimate birthday dinner. Every staff member was pleasant, clearly caring of our visit. The wine list was superb and if Vodka is your beverage be prepared the list is lengthy.
Our server was very attentive (as was all the staff). Appetizer was a nice portion to share quite flavorful. Dinner was plated with care and almost too visibly stunning to eat. The temperature, texture, and size was more then we anticipated. Dessert finished off this wonderful experience.
We enjoyed an outstanding meal and our server, AJ, is consistently the best!
Excellent service! Went there for my mom's birthday and she was delivered a birthday card during the meal by the manager -- nice touch (plus of course a birthday dessert). The setting is unusual and fun, the food excellent, and the popover a treat!
Great food and food as usually. Never disappointed.
We usually love Vintanas but we’re very disappointed this time. The menu had been changed and not in a good way. The drinks were not as good, the wedge much smaller and the crab cake terrible. The salmon looked terrible and had only mashed potatoes on the plate with no vegetable. Very boring looking. The service was not helpful. Very rigid and rushed. This was a birthday celebration and very dissatisfied! I had made the reservations several weeks ago and asked for a booth for 3 of us. They put us in the worst booth and it seated six. We go there a lot but I guess we will have to look for a new place. Why change something that is working well. Very unhappy!
