We have always enjoyed dinner ay Vintage Year. Some times it’s a bit too loud in the back room but this visit was perfect. Dinner was delicious, we shared fried green tomatoes with crab, baked oysters topped with bacon and jalapeños, and we both had a wonder fish pasta. It was a lovely evening. Our waiter Jaylan was very helpful.
The back dining room is too loud. Please add fabric or acoustic panels to absorb some of the noise. I love the VY but we had a tough time hearing each other at a table for three.
We were refugees from Michael and found Vintage Year on the internet for brunch. If we lived in Montgomery we would be regulars
The Waiter was especially attentive and after we left (and accidentally left our credit card behind), the Staff immediately called us. Overall, we enjoyed our time at the restaurant.
Wonderful service Very nice decor, Carppacio excellent appetizer, autumn salad very good.
Scallop entre very good, special Wagu beef flavorful very chewy.
Overall a very nice evening.
I highly recommend this restaurant. The service was perfect, and the food was outstanding!!
Food was great but the portions were a little small for the price.
Everything was fabulous! It was our first time there as the Vintage Year. I told several of the staff I worked there as a bartender when I was 18-20, when it was the Old Cloverdale Bar and Grill! Old memories turning into new memories! See you again!
Delicious food and perfect service. Nice atmosphere, however, the noise level was a bit high. Loved the eclectic music selections.
Waiter (name started with a J) was great-knowledgeable, friendly, smart.
I had a great brunch with family and friends. We all chose something different. The entrees ranged from chicken/waffles to a creole omelet. They were all good. The service was also great. I look forward to my next visit to Montgomery so we can visit the restaurant again.
Cozy, white linen dining .... great service .... nice ambiance .....
Food was excellent. A really fantastic experience all around!
One of the finest dining experiences ever. I know that sounds extreme but it's true. Go find out for yourself.
Great atmosphere and fun. Great service delivery too!
Sarah served us
Very polite and informative and well knowledgeable of wine and tastes of each food item.
The food and service were spectacular. What a great showcase restaurant for Montgomery!!
Best restaurant in Montgomery. Great food and service. Our favorite place for special occasions.
Sunday brunch reservations at 12:30 did not live up to previous pleasant brunch experiences in earlier time slots. Very crowded, very loud, very slow service and food was overcooked and oversalted when it finally did arrive over an hour after we got there.
Got the pancakes and they were over cooked and just okay. Goat cheese balls were delish.
Very nice brunch menu with many choices and two not on menu.Bloody marys were great with celery onion olive and green bean. Desert was a lemon bar with raspberry sorbet I finished with a glass of sparkling wine. Surprised at the cost for the amount and quality of the food. Service was great.
Our server(Jennifer ,I think) was fantastic! The entre was great and the dessert, as well. My only complaint is that I was blind-sided by the cost of $20 scotch. My wife and I will be back!
Our last night Montgomery having evacuated from South Carolina. A very nice memory. If we are in Montgomery again we would return.
Food is excellent; noise level makes conversation difficult in some areas. Deducted 1 star because it took so long to get the entrees — 30-40 minutes after we finished the salads, over 2 hours for dinner from beginning to end.
We were on a golf vacation outside of Montgomery and wanted a special dinner to celebrate with friends. We selected Vintage Year and we were extremely pleased. The service and food was outstanding!
There was no place like this in Montgomery when I grew up there. The exceptional attention to detail in the physical space is well matched by a skilled kitchen. My wife had the scallops and I had the short rib. Both were excellently prepared although the accompanying sauce on my short rib was just a tad sweet for me. That said; I would order the short rib again. We found the staff attentive, well informed and able to offer useful guidance to help us make great choices from a solid menu. We’ll be back to Vintage Year on future visits “back home.”
Apparently there was a Ball that night and the noise was deafening at times, they definitely need to sound proof the rooms and have more material to soften the noise. I believe the staff was exhausted by the time they came to us. We were offered the catch of the day but quite bit of time went by before they let us know they didn’t have any more and that we needed to choose something else. That was very disappointing. None of the above has ever happened before so needless to say it was very disappointing.
Amazing food, great service - VY is always wonderful !
Love the fried green tomatoes! The best.
Outstanding food and service. I would recommend Vintage Year for anyone.
Set in an unassuming location, Vintage Year has delicious food and wonderful ambiance. From delicious handcrafted cocktails to delicious appetizers, to amazing main courses and desserts that leave you wanting more, I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for an upscale dining experience.
Simply amazing!! From the moment we walked in...awesome service and the food is divine!!
Good local seafood, good for vegiterians , nice dinning outside in the evening
As always - delicious and fun. Perfect night out with old business friend - seafood and cheese!
It was just delicious. I got the Fajita burger and I think quite possibly it was the best burger I've ever had. Great service, too!
We went based on great reviews and were not disappointed! Incredible experience! Food was beyond amazing in every way you could imagine!!
the service and the hostess were unusually great, friendly and helpful
Wonderful meal , with creative menu choices; excellent cocktails, and excellent service.......
I do not often give 5 star reviews for restaurants but this one truly deserves it. While the outside of the restaurant is unassuming, in a sort of strip mall setting, my husband and I were stunned by the quality of the food and service. Everything we ordered was delicious, perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented. The menu has just enough creativity to make each dish unique in its own way, without being completely esoteric.
Our waitress Jaimie was very friendly but extremely professional and unobtrusive. Service was prompt even though the place was quite busy.
The wine list is short but adequate with a reasonable price range, and Pinot we chose from Bourgogne was excellent.
To start the meal, we were offered some warm baguette that tasted just as good as if we had just bought it from a bakery in Paris. The herbed butter that came with it was delicious.
I ordered fried green tomatoes with andouille sausage crabmeat and a spicy remoulade, then tandoori grilled salmon with fennel, haricots verts, cherry tomatoes, heirloom potatoes and citrus yogurt sauce. My husband had the VY caesar salad, seared scallops with black rice, baby bok choy, coconut mirin cream and chili sauce. We shared a blueberry and plum crumble topped with buttermilk ice cream for dessert. Everything was outstanding in every way, including the presentation.
We will definitely be back next time we are in Montgomery.
Vintage Year is one of my most favorite restaurants in the city. It is definitely a local gem! My entree was wonderful; the spiny lobster was delicious. Tommy provided exceptional service and was genuinely friendly, helpful, and interested in knowing if my dinner was an enjoyable one or not. Thank you for a delightful dining experience.
