Vinoteca di Monica
You no longer need to travel to Italy to experience the marriage between regional Italian food and wine. The menu focuses on the preservation of traditional regional dishes, with an unpretentious dedication to the true flavors that make regional Italian cuisine so popular.
The art of pasta and bread making are carried out daily, for your sampling, where the freshest ingredients is an everyday affair. VINOTECA di MONICA is the result of Monica’s Restaurant evolution and our passion for the Italian culture and the big role food and wine plays in its preservation.

Delicious Italian food for a great price with a nice ambiance.
The food and the service were outstanding. Our server gave us recommendations for the wine and main course that were spot on. People I work with have been here as well and loved it. this was a return visit for us.
Great service, friendly and attentive staff. The pre-dinner cocktails were quite tasty. It was nice to eat fresh pasta made next door and the wine selection was pretty vast.
Amazing menu, great options, food was delicious and we loved the flower beds outside and Bloody Mary brunch deal!
This was our first visit; the food was delicious food and the service was excellent. A very nice experience all around.
Food is great as always. Best gnocchi in Boston.
Seafood stew was fantastic. One of our best meals in little Italy!
Monica's on Richmond Street is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants!!!
The food, service, servers including Paola and Phil and the chefs are amazing!!!!
The outdoor dining is perfect and they have heaters! Of course the food and service are fantastic as ALWAYS! Love This North end Gem!
I dined at this restaurant for a date, and couldn't have been happier with the experience. The waitress was very friendly and helpful with the menu, and we had a great table that was very quiet. Would recommend!
Dinner was absolutely fantastice. Our meals were cooked to perfection. Service was very attentative. We have dined there before and it just seems to get better each time we go there.
My favorite Italian restaurant outside of Italy!!!
The lobster ravioli was excellent and so was the beef ravioli with red sauce. We had a nice table by the window and the service was excellent even when my son knocked over his water glass and it broke. Would highly recommend.
Well, we were sitting outside, so it will be noisy! And a gust of wind blew our umbrella almost stabbing the lady behind me. Food service was horrendously slow, but Paola's service was IMPECCABLE as is her delightful personality and professionalism. Vinoteca Di Monica's pasta ALWAYS impresses. We also ordered the fried artichoke hearts... worth coming back for! (although this is my 3rd or 4th visit, yes, worth driving from Hudson, Ma to enjoy a beautiful meal, great wine list). Just don't get here with no time to spare. They are not fast food.
Great food and service. Had the carbonara and pumpkin ravioli, would recommend both. Fair prices for a north end restaurant. Would definitely go back
Great food, service, experience. Would definitely go back.
Excellent can’t wait to go back
Fantastic food and very friendly and helpful staff. We'll be back!
The ambiance was really fun- the restaurant is on a cute little narrow street that gives European vibes. We ordered the sausage pizza, mushroom crepe, bruschetta, and the bolognese and they were all fantastic!
Brunch is worth the trip, even if it weren’t for the &6 Bloody Marys. Try the breakfast carbonara and you’ll find yourself in food heaven.
The staff was wonderful and accommodating. The food was delicious as was the service. During the pandemic it’s difficult to feel completely comfortable dining out. This restaurant was clean, followed all guidelines and we were happy we made the choice to come here for a Birthday celebration.
Excellent, reasonably priced, and authentic cuisine. Food was served promptly and the service was attentive. I will be recommending this place to friends and family.
To start our server was pleasant and knowledgeable. She made us feel comfortable by wearing her mask properly and by setting up a clean table with wrapped utensils and fresh glasses. While taking out order she waited for questions and answered them patiently. It made all the difference.
The wine and then the food came out in a timely manner. And the food was delicious. I do wish the tomatoes were more red and juicy but I know you have to deal with what is delivered. It was still very tasty.
We had the shrimp app and the sauce was wonderful. 4 medium size shrimp for the appetizer. Small but tasty.
We both had the spaghetti with clams ( alle vongele rossa) and really enjoyed it. It is one of our favorites and hoped it would not disappoint since we have had it at many other wonderful restaurants in Italy. It did not disappoint.
We sat inside but the outdoor seating looked just as inviting. I did worry about the chill so selected the indoor seating.
Delicious food!! Was up lovely outside
We had the best service from our waiter. The wine and drink recommendations were perfect. All of our meals were absolutely amazing and authentic.
Other than table spacing, one of the few places that truly didn't feel very different during COVID. Service and food were both still excellent. Lobster ravioli is AMAZING. Excellent dinner. We ate inside next to an open window which was perfect. Lovely evening.
The service was fantastic as usual and the food delicious! The artichoke stems were a lovely appetizer.
I really enjoyed eating outside on the patio. I felt very safe and it was a fun environment. The food was delicious (I had the pasta ribbons with calamari) and our server was terrific.
Incredibly light and fluffy gnocchi. The seafood zuppa with half lobster came with an 8oz salmon filet, along with haddock, clams, mussels and calamari, but the tomato broth was bland.
Wonderful as always, top notch and pasta abs service still amazing
Awesome experience. Wonderful food, world class service and cool vibe. We had Paula as a waitress and she could not have been better!!!
Great food and service. Will go back
Great service, great food! We went on a Sunday at 10:30am for brunch - weather was perfect so that helped! Definitely recommend.
Outstanding brunch options! Get there and venture into the unique choices...you won’t be disappointed. And the spicy bloody @ $6 is a great get anyway you shake it.
Loved coming here on a date with my girlfriend. We ate outdoors and the food and service we got was amazing. We highly recommend the Crespelle ai Funghi— it’s the best savory crepe we’ve ever had!
Food and service were fantastic. Would go back. Prices a bit high for lunch/ brunch.
Excellent service, food and cleanliness. Appetizers, drinks, salad, dinner and dessert 🍨. Really knowledgeable floor team and excellent chef creations.
Our first time dining our since March was last Wednesday at Vinoteca di Monica. We were warmly greeted and sat at an outdoor table that was well spaced from others and felt safe. Paola our server was excellent. Attentive without being intrusive and always available when needed. The food was very good - the Asparagi alla Milanese topped with a fried egg was a great starter. As was the grilled calamari and the friend artichokes. My husband enjoyed the gnocchi special and I had a salad with beef tenderloins on it. The Frangelica bread pudding was stunning! Great wines by the glass list and superior service.
We look forward to going back.
We arrived at a non traditional time (345) - before the lunch rush- and had the place to ourselves. The waitress was so sweet and attentive, and we loved the outdoor seating.
The fresh bread with white bean dipping sauce was wonderful! Next, I ordered one of the pasta specials, my sister had gnocchi, and my nephew had cheese pizza. All delicious!
The pasta is made in house daily. We even bought some fresh pasta from the Monica’s deli shop next door, along with some cheeses. Do yourself a favor and get the Gorgonzola Dolce- you’re welcome. The Drunken Goat cheese was also very nice.
This restaurant is a gem!
