Los chefs y propietarios Lisa y Terry Harwood abrieron el Vine Street Cafe en 2003. Está ubicado en South Ferry Road, a solo 2,5 km de la terminal de South Ferry. El chef Terry trabaja con agricultores, pescadores y viticultores de la zona para llevar sus riquezas a los menús de temporada.     The salmon main course was delicious as was the sticky toffee pudding. Dessert service was great. This is one of the few places on shelter to eat.

    I don't normally write reviews, but we've been coming here for many years. We've always been impressed by the quality and consistency of the food and the service, it has always been top notch. Until now. We ate here 3 time sin the last 3 weeks and 2 of those nights was truly underwhelming. One night they were clearly overbooked - we waited an hour for our entree. The staff themselves are always mostly charming and competent, but those above them seemed to be absent. It's been a great run, sad to say - all good things must end.

    We found the food not as flavorful as other times here. The pea risotto was bland and the salmon miso needed more miso flavors. Drinks and wine selections were great.

    Such a great time! Was late but they were so accommodating! Loved Jessie and the hostesses were the best! Would definitely recommend to everyone who loves a good meal. Thanks vinestreet crew!

    Emma, our server went above and beyond for us! Her energy and expertise was unmatched. We are so grateful to not only have her as our server on our first evening as newly weds, just married but as someone we got to meet, have great conversation and received excellent recommendations. We are beyond impressed with the service, food and ambience. We look forward to visiting again soon ❤️

    We had a fantastic dinner at VSC over Memorial Day weekend. Beautiful spot on Shelter Island, and the food was delicious. Lovely ambience ( but can be a bit noisy). Definitely will be coming back-

    This is a lovely restaurant, with a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. But the prices here have gotten just too high, with main courses averaging $44 to $60. My meat bolognese -- which was good but similar to what we make at home -- was $44: that's way too much for a serving of pasta. We know this is an expensive area, but even when compared to other high-end restaurants (like 1770 House in East Hampton), Vine Street's prices soar way above. We'd come here at least a couple times a month if the prices were were within reason, but with the management choosing to go so high with prices, this is a place that most people couldn't enjoy but once a year.

    We had an amazing celebration at Vine Street Cafe! Our server was friendly and enthusiastic, and she was very solicitous of a member of our party who has food allergies. The food was delicious, fresh and seasonal. Everyone at Vine Street made us feel welcome and special. It is truly one of a kind -- elegant yet relaxed. We can't wait to come back!
