Quality food and great service

It was simply everyday dining to us. My Mom had a wonderful evening and our waiter was superb, but the food left us wanting.

Excellent wine selection. Superb steak cooked perfectly. The bacon Mac and cheese was incredible.

We had Aris as our server and he was very good and attentive. He knew the menu, anticipated our needs, offered me a taste a wine I was unsure about and in all ways provided us the service we hoped to find. We were a table of nine, and we felt well attended to with this large number. We thought the food and especially steaks were very good. We tried several sides and liked the Mac & cheese and the brussel sprouts best. As a Californian, I would like to see a few more choices for wine by the glass. We were a table of multi generations and the younger members of our party drank cocktails. I like wine with my dinner but not a whole bottle without someone to share. I did see some great wines on the wine list if price is not an issue for folks. Maybe wine by the glass using a Coravin saving system??

We ate in the bar area where the service was excellent. The food was very good and the company was outstanding. We will return.

We love coming to VY Steakhouse. This time we did a double date with some friends. The lobster bisque was too salty and one of the burgers wasn’t seasoned at all. Steaks were good. It was just after the winter storm that knocked out power and water in Austin. Perhaps that effected certain food items.

Phenomenal dining experience in every way. Food and drinks were unbelievable and the service was impeccable. Great music too! Highly recommend, can’t wait to come back.

Just wasn’t as intimate I a few years back. Server just wasn’t 5 star. Took a way from the experience.
Great food and drinks!

I have been to quite a few Steakhouses in Austin, and this one is by far my least favorite. The salt level on all of the food is way too high and the steaks were just ok. The ambiance is good, dimming the lights would have made it a more intimate experience. The wine list was lackluster, especially the Champagne options. Probably won’t be back again, with all of the other options in the area.

Great restaurant. Just expand the menu to Perry’s steakhouse size level and you guys beat them hands down.

It was such a great experience, from the amazing waiter all the way down to restrooms. Everything here was great and my future wife felt very special that night. The food was amazing and even gave us a complimentary desert for our special occasion. Thank y’all so much!

Service and food were outstanding! Aris really set the tone for the meal. The chef...mmmmmmm my hat is off for the chef. Beautiful decor, comfortable environment, good COVID precautions. The food was amazing.

Outstanding service, good food and very professional but good humored waiter. God time was had by all.

The service was excellent and the restaurant ambiance was refined. The food was not good - the vegetables (carrots and broccoli) were undercooked to the point that I had a hard time cutting them into bite-sized pieces. The filet mignon was very good but the mushrooms ordered seemed to have been poured from a can and heated in a microwave. The salad greens were fresh but the oranges were not. We spent approximately $125 per person for good I could have prepared much better at home.

Wait service fair since waiter took too much time between filling initial order than each entree. It took him 20-30 minutes to inform us that availability of each wine selection was either not there or was the last one we had. Also wine and bar selections were sparse.
To pay for bread was unbelievable especially for the size (1/3 loaf cute loaf!!!) and texture of an HEB 1 day old bakery loaf.
The steak everyone else had was declared good but mine was a slightly fibrous rib eye on a bare plate, though right temperature cooked BUT warm not hot.
BUT finally owner called me and offered restitution. I had won a bet and gave him name and phone number of "loser" who paid to offer same. LOSER still haven't received call!!!
So where do you go from here???

Had a great time. We got the chance to meet Vince Young. Amazing guy. We definitely stop by and have a great steak each and every time we’re back in Austin.

I had a delicious whiskey cocktail. My husband and I each had a filet and they were cooked to perfection. We shared the mac and cheese which was also delicious. We ate every bite and loved it!

Food was great and Vince Young came over to the table, so double score! Awesome

Place was very nice. The hostess and waiter were amazing! The food on the other hand was TERRIBLE I had “the perfect 10” steak and it was charred to the point I couldn’t tell it was a “wagyu”. I could’ve saved $100 and bought a steak at chili’s that tasted better. Oh and the SINGLE crab cake they gave me was burnt and flavorless. Thank god the sauce it had was somewhat decent.

We celebrated the birthday of a friend and experienced an unexpected surprise when we learned Vince Young was in the restaurant. Vince warmly embraced our request for photos and posed with the birthday boy in the same place they had been previously photographed in 2013.

The only negative comment was from a fellow diner who felt the $47 charge for the "surf" part of the surf and turf was over priced for the portion.

The wait staff was very professional and courteous, he had great knowledge of the drink menu and the steak entrees. The atmosphere in the restaurant was great, everyone was having a great time. The food itself was well cooked and tasted great. The bacon mac & cheese was a standout.

Kip was an excellent waiter! It was a great Wednesday night. Very quiet, good music, and amazing food.

Our waiter made the experience the best I’ve had at Vince Young Steakhouse. I come here all the time for client dinner meetings but was a blown away at the experience with our waiter. Incredibly knowledgeable on the menu and more importantly, the wine menu! 10/10 and can’t wait to go back!
