Village Tavern (Hanes Mall Blvd) Winston-Salem
Consistent. Always enjoy our visits to Village Tavern!
The filet mignon was delicious and so were the green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. We also got the crab dip and it was also quite tasty. Loved the atmosphere and the server was also very pleasant. Highly recommend for a night out with your special someone. Not too much noise and we were on the enclosed patio, very comfy even with the chilly, windy weather that we were having that night.
The food was delicious, as always! Our favorite waitress is Karen, but she was not working that particular night! Our waitress was efficient but abrupt....it was very busy that night and she was trying to take care of her tables, but, I think, it affected her service! And the most annoying problem is the noise level. It is so noisy, you can’t even talk to your dining companion......and they can’t hear you at all!!! I wish Village Tavern could fix the acoustics.......!!!!! I also eat at the Village Tavern in Greensboro, and due to the structure of their building, the noise level is not a problem!!! It is a much better dining experience!
Birthday for mom. Good dinner.
After competing in SE Region Indoors at JDL Fast Track, we were starving when our group of 5 were seated at Village Tavern for dinner. It seemed our wait person was extremely busy, so it took a long time for our food / entrees to arrive. I wound up eating 2 rolls instead of all of my rice with my entree. My salmon was good, but not very hot/warm. Everyone else was pleased with their entrees. This restaurant is consistently good, so we will continue to come.
We dine at Village Tavern Winston-Salem every time we come to town for an indoor track meet at JDL Fast Track. This time we had a group of 8 and everyone was pleased with their own entree choices. My husband and I also enjoyed the ahi tuna appetizer. My salmon's cut was a little thin, but that seemed to be a one time only shortcoming.
Love Village Tavern! The service was great and the food was amazing! I highly recommend the Grilled Meatloaf! It was off the charts good!
Calamari was far too crispy. Over cooked!
Meal was perfection. Margarita was the best I have ever had. Great service.
Burger was decent, french fries were mediocre at best.
2 drinks at the bar were $29, with tip (one was a 2oz).
Ribs were precut and a bit dry.
Veggie burger and squash dish were good.
Chicken Teriyaki also was portioned small yet filling.
Ambiance was great. We were seated by the fireplace.
Our office staff had lunch at Village Tavern and had an excellent meal! Our server, Patrick, was very professional and very attentive to our needs! We will definitely return!
Huge fan! always have been. Favorite place to dine in Winston.
I've always felt Village Tavern was a bit overrated. The restaurant is beautiful, clean and quiet. Additionally, the service we received from beginning to end was nothing short of top notch. However, the food is just bland. The menu is entirely to big and usually this is a bad sign. We had wings as an app and pizza for dinner. Not what most would eat at Village Tavern but this was what I craved so this is what I ate. The wings were plentiful but very standard. There were no flats but rather all drums so that was disappointing. Pizza should have stayed in the oven 2 more minutes and was very greasy. I ate half and threw the remainder away when I came home. The butter cake was phenomenal. The food there is just average. I've never had a great or consistent meal there. You will enjoy a lovely atmosphere and great service but expect mediocrity when it comes to food.
Lunch was fabulous! I had the Greek salad with salmon and it was wonderful! The salmon was seasoned perfectly 👌🏼
I ordered the chicken Marsala. Chicken was dry. Prime rib was super salty. Pomegranate sangria was delicious! Waitress was sweet and personable but super slow. Also, I thought it was kind of rude that we gave her a $50 bill plus $50 gift card and she only gave us back a $20 bill so lucky her she got a $20 tip for poor service...we didn’t feel like sitting there another 15 min for change
A little too dark to be able to see the menu and it was very loud but the food was great and the service was excellent.
Had to send my husbands salmon back because it was cold when she brought it out. My burger was great! Waitress wasn't the best it was like she was hiding from the time she took our order until she brought the check.
Always wonderful food and service.
Excellent food! Drink specials were great! Good service!
A wonderful meal on New Years eve, with very attentive service provided by Amy. Crab dip, prime rib, chocolate torte, all delicious.
Food was great, i ordered my regular. Fried Oyster app and Cajun Seafood fettuccine. Dee gave us great service. I appreciated her knowledge of the specials and her personal recommendations. The noise was down some from earlier visits. That's a good thing. We will go back for sure.
As usual our visit to Village Tavern was outstanding. We had a minimal wait event though they were extremely busy. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was pleasant. All in all a great meal.
Food was excellent and service was prompt
Sanitation grade: 100! Our server was Kelly. She was wonderful! Personable, knowledgeable, attentive, and she continuously called my 87 year-old mother "young lady," which made her giggle. The food was great. We both had the Breakfast Bowl, which is my favorite brunch offering. I've always loved this place. I'm glad to see that the sanitation grade has come up. I'll be back.
One of my favorite restaurants! Never disappoints.
We eat at this Village Tavern a few times a year. The food is always delicious. Staff is always nice.
It was Great!
After years of good meals I guess we were due for a poor experience. Our orders were incorrect and had to be sent back- twice. The attitude of the food runner was not appropriate OR appreciated, and it should not have been that difficult to get the correct food. I am hopeful that this was just an anomaly, but the clam chowder was lukewarm and once I finally got the correct sandwich it was disappointing (I can make toast and cold bacon at home for a lot less). I hope our next trip is better.
The Village Tavern never fails when it comes to food, service and overall experience.
We waited almost 2 hours for our food to be served. Our server seemed overwhelmed!! The chicken in the caesar salad was not fully cooked. The honey glazed salmon "special' was mediocre. The crab dip and tavern salad were very good, as usual!!
Great food at a great price. Please add another quinoa dish for us vegans.
Great place to meet family for our Christmas celebration!
Came here for a special occasion dinner. The overall design of the establishment was nice with large booths and comfortable seating, nice lighting, and good decor. The food was very good with reasonable wait times. However, the menu was a bit difficult to read being one large page vs something folded, so there was a lot of information that could have been better organized. Most significantly, the noise level was extreme, to the point that conversation at our table required raised voices and was still difficult. Adjacent tables with large, loud groups were closer than I would have liked and would have preferred more space between tables. Overall, the noise level interfered with enjoying an otherwise very nice establishment.
Always a great experience at Village Tavern. The
