Great food. Great atmosphere. Just a little on the loud side. But loved it and will go again
First timers and the food was wonderful.. Great soup and Bolognese .. The server was great and on a snowy night very comfortable temp in restaurant.. Will be back
Villa Verone is a wonderful Italian restaurant. We went there for our daughter's birthday dinner and the waiter sang happy birthday to her in Italian. The food was amazing and the ambiance is truly Italian. Very authentic - a piece of Italy in Geneva. Our daughter and her boyfriend said it was as good, if not better, than some places they visited in Italy. This will be on our list of places to go many times in the future.
The restaurant was uncomfortably cold. Food was very good but could not wait to get finished and leave. I will not go back during the cold weather but will try once in the summer.
Service was exceptional that evening with Gabriel, our waiter. We had a wonderful time.
AHH-MAZING! Must try! Our first visit, it was fantastic. We met Pietro, he was so nice and welcoming. Food was amazing, our waiter Dominic was great and very attentive. I am a great cook so I am very picky about eating out, especially at Italian restaurants. This food is beyond delicious and fresh! Overall, wonderful experience.
Always a wonderful experience.
Love everything about this place. Service, atmosphere, food, and drinks are spectacular
Great atmosphere. The food was outstanding. I have not been here for several years but will make this a "regular" stop from now on.
WE HAD A GREAT NEW YEARS ALONG WITH AN OUTSTANDING MEAL. OUR 3RD YEAR IN A ROW..DID NOT DISAPPOINT..
Great place-should be on your must visit restaurant lists. The atmosphere is great, food was excellent, the dance club upper level was a nice place to hit the floor dancing or relax to the music and have a drink. Owner personally came by all the tables and said hello and made sure everything was great
Great food, service, and entertainment to bring in the new year 2020.
We had a family get together and had never been here before. Our waiter was not attentive and our food was mediocre. We had a party of 9 so his tip was included so I feel he didn’t care at all
This is always our FAVORITE Restaurant for all our special occasions, and even for anyday dining.
The food and service is outstanding. And the owner, Pietro, is always welcoming and gracious.
Great staff. Charming ambience. Excellent food. All around great experience. I highly recommend.
We ordered the special dinner-for-two fixed price option, which we appreciated having as an option. The smoked salmon bruschetta with lemon pesto and carmelized onions was out of this world! The veal francese was delicious and pleasantly a lighter meal than I thought it might be. And the pasta arrabiata was very flavorful. Despite being booked solid for Christmas Eve, the waiter was attentive and the food was served at a pleasant pace. Enjoyed it tremendously!
I went on Christmas Eve. It was crowded but the service was good. The food was brought quickly. My waiter even sang for the customers. I would say this is a retro Italian restaurant with friendly staff, and good food. It was enjoyable.
I met a couple friends for a Christmas lunch. Lovely ambiance, friendly staff, delectable food. Just love this place!
Great food and great service! As always. Thanks again Willi and Pietro. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Many happy returns!
Everything about Villa Verone was fabulous. We had an enjoyable evening there.
Wonderful Southern Italian food, personable owner and waiter, lovely setting... can be noisy when very busy as tables are close together. Recommend that if you want to have a dinner conversation go during the week and consider lunch rather than dinner.
Villa Verone has been a local favorite for a long time. They consistently deliver excellent food accompanied by equally excellent service. The facility is a converted old home, and is impeccably maintained to present a warm and cozy ambiance. Upstairs is a second bar and dance floor for the more energetic patrons. I highly recommend Villa Verone.
Ordered special white fish awful large table next to us also complained on taste service was great but could not eat food went back to hotel and ordered room service. Was not offered any discount in bill.
A wonderful place for a romantic date and the food and service were truly top notch.
Great atmosphere and wonderful food and service. Will be back next time to do the dancing upstairs with my wife.
It was rather noisy sitting at a table in the middle of the room, but the food was good and the server was fine.
Food was very good. Dominic was very friendly and was very helpful with questions on the menu
A gem in the Western suburbs.
As ll good as always. Food service value to notch. I recommend for any occasion.
I had the lobster ravioli, and my wife had the veal. Both were excellent. However, our guest both had the tilapia, and complained that it was mushy. One wasn't even eaten. We dine here often and usually have great food. Looked as though the tilapia dishes had been sitting for a bit too long. Otherwise great evening, and fun afterwards in the bar/lounge. Dinner for the (4) of us was about $240 with the tip and drinks afterwards was $90 (two rounds) with tip.
Our waiter Gabriel was one of the best servers we have had in quite sometime. He was attentive but not overbearing and guided us through a wonderful evening of food and drink. The food was exceptional and we plan on returning soon.
This was my first time visiting Villa Verone, I was recommended by multiple friends so I thought I’d try something new for my birthday dinner. Definitely not disappointed! Setting was fairly quiet and relaxing. Our server was very attentive and friendly. Food was absolutely delicious including dessert! Highly recommend this to anyone looking to try something new
More unique italian experience than most similar places in the suburbs. Excellent food, great value.
The Villa Team is great, especially Dino, who is a great server. If you want to celebrate and love authentic Italian Food and atmosphere, then Villa is your place. 5 Starrs.
Charming location and attentive waitstaff. The menu has a wide selection of homemade pastas and sauces. We went for lunch and didn't have any wine but the wine list looked very good. We ate too much to try the dessert so I will be back again and will save room for dessert.
Totally amazing staff!! So warm and welcoming and food was fabulous!
We were celebrating our daughters 21st birthday. It was a fabulous experience.
I have used Open Table from its inception. We have been going to Villa Verona for years. It is sad to say that this is the first truly negative feedback I have had to leave. We made reservations and arrived 15 minutes early. They were not overly crowded. We were seated immediately. Then we were ignored. 10 minutes went by and no one came to our table, which was in the middle of the room, with other people being served all around us. The bus boy noticed this and quickly brought over bread, and silverware. Another 10 minutes passed. Nothing. We looked around and couldn’t find any staff now. Finally after 25 minutes someone walked by and said “ you are waiting for your drinks?”, to which we stated we hadn’t even been greeted yet! We were told our server was stuck in the kitchen? Another 5 minutes passed and our server showed up. She apologized and took our drink order. 10 minutes later our drinks arrived. We ordered our dinner, and at that time our bread was long gone. Another 15 minutes went by, now our drinks were empty...and no one checked up on us? No bread, no drinks...nothing...now 1 hour into our seating! Finally the server came back and asked if we wanted more drinks, And I plainly told her the service was the worst I have had not only there, but in the last 15 years. She apologized and I stated “ we are determining if we should wait even longer or just go somewhere else”....no response? Nothing? I stood up and asked for the drying bill and we were leaving. Server disappeared and I waited for another 5 minutes...nothing. I went downstairs to find the owner, or a manager...no one by the cash register. We left and went two blocks away and had a great meal. We still cannot believe the experience we had. They were our favorite Italian restaurant, and we have been eating there for years. In one horrendous experience, where no one cared...even when they knew we were frustrated...made no attempt to recover from the situation....how can we ever recommend them again?
Had dined here previously but this visit will discourage us from returning. The food was mediocre at best and the noise level made being there beyond uncomfortable. The table service was excellent and our waiter was very attentive. The wine selection was adequate and not over valued. Wish I could say my out of town guests were pleased with my restaurant selection but I could tell they were not.
I live in Geneva where we have many great restaurants and every time I go to Villa Verone, I'm reminded why it is one of my favorites. Legit old world Italian food combined with the best service...it doesn't get any better. Highly recommended.
