    Had a great dinner here. Service was outstanding even though it was very busy. Wine was good. Coffee was fine but not as remarkable. Salads were nice and desserts were tasty. Main dishes were tasted very good, but portions were on the small side for about half the dishes we ordered. Normally I would prefer smaller portions and so good for the restaurant for trying to be reasonable, but I think that they overshot a bit. Overall a great experience and we will go there again in the future.

    First time visit. Excellent meal for our party of 3. Had an 8 PM reservation and we were seated promptly upon arrival. Staff was very attentive to our requests and our waiter explained the answers to our questions in complete detail. Looking forward to another night out at Villa Marci.

    Everything about my wife’s birthday dinner was perfect. We were seated promptly. Our booth was large enough to seat five adults comfortably. Our server went above and beyond. In fact, she brought my father in law back to our table when he got lost wandering around the restaurant. He gets distracted easily. Our server was on top of things. She anticipated our desires and needs before we asked!

    Food was good but service was mediocre at best. It took 2 hours to have dinner. I appreciate not putting in the whole order at once but that was to slow. The other thing was no one cleared the table between courses. We had to put our dishes on the edge of the table for them to be picked up.

    Third time dining here after going to ND football game over the last three years.  Nice ambiance, cute, fun atmosphere.  Food was very good, plenty of it, and very reasonable prices. Service was absolutely outstanding by our waitress Liz and all the staff were friendly and helpful. We will go back every time we visit.

    One of the best dining experiences. Staff was attentive and courteous. We got there early and sat at the bar. Ordered appetizers. When our table was ready- the bartender helped us move everything to our table. The food was delicious! I had the chicken piccata and my husband had penne with vodka sauce. Everything was perfectly cooked. Wonderful experience.

    The ambience is nice but that’s about it. The food was not good. The salad was iceberg lettuce with some chopped tomato. My son ordered 4 cheese ravioli and there were 8 small pieces with sauce dumped on top. The caprese chicken and lasagna had no taste. It was expensive and very disappointing.

    Our meal was wonderful and our server Ashley was great! There had been a medical emergency earlier causing a shutdown of entrance to the site. As all of us came in at the same time, it was certainly tough on all the staff. They did a super job of serving everyone. Definitely will go back.

    One of my favorite restaurants in the area! We often come in with large groups and sometimes just my husband and I. I love their food! My only complaint is that it feels like they’re changing things to cut costs, which I understand, but sometimes it’s not worth it. Example, the house salad used to have craisins. It no longer does. That used to be what made the salad! Now it’s just lettuce, cheese and tomato. The biggest one for me is the baked goat cheese marinara. They got rid of the coat cheese and replaced it with cream cheese. It was still good, but goat is has a very distinct taste. That was my favorite thing on the menu so I was disappointed to see tonight that it had changed. Half the time that’s what I’m looking most forward to! That was my go to appetizer so I guess I’ll have to find a different one. Our servers are always nice and on top of it. We love the different rooms they have for seating as well. Can’t go wrong with really any of their entrees! I even live getting just plain spaghetti! It’s delicious.

    The gnocchi was excellent and marinara as well. The grilled chicken was a little dry, but the overall texture of a fillet was good and flavor. The salmon piccata was mediocre.

    Overall, we were disappointed with the experience. The food was average. Our waitress was attentive and friendly, but the drinks were not great. The ambience, however, was the most disappointing. Based on the pictures, we expected a Mediterranean/Italian/Romantic setting, but it was only booths like a sports bar. It seemed like we were in overflow seating, but we made a reservation so that wouldn’t make sense that we were “thrown in the back.” There seemed to be plenty of room in the main dining. We feel like we would have had just as good or a better experience at a well-known Italian chain restaurant. They have potential here but a lot of work to do. We paid way too much for the ambience to be that sloppy.

    I would like to apologize for your experience at my restaurant. We were not able to seat the main dining room on the day you came in due to water damage from the storm the night before. We closed off that area to have the carpets cleaned after the flood. So sorry that you did not mention this to the server to let us know that you were unhappy with seating in our sports room - the only room besides the bar area where we sat guests that night.     We sat outside it was. Beautiful night! Our waiter is one of the best around he is very attentive and gives excellent service. I had the chicken piccata for the first time and it was fabulous! The chicken was very juicy and flavorful and of course the mozzarella sticks yum!

    Our spontaneous dinner for family members to gather grew and grew, the Villa Macri reservations team accommodated all our changes easily. Later when we were seated our group of mixed generations and tastes all found something to enjoy on the menu and we had a terrific casual family dinner together with great servers.

    We love the outside dining it’s comfortable and relaxing. The food is always good especially the mozzarella sticks. The service is outstanding! We go frequently and are never disappointed.

    As parents of SMC /ND students we were introduced to VM. We have never been disappointed with our dining experience. Our server, Olivia was outstanding, as have our previous servers. The dishes never disappoint and are worthy of our celebratory moments. We are out of towers and always enjoy the experience provided by VM, and plan to be back next year for our next graduation dinner experience.

    Service was super slow, didn’t get drinks until we were half way done with our meal. Sat for 10 min or more before we were even greeted by a server. They were very stingy with the prime rib at the buffet. Overall it was not worth the buffet price of $35/person.
