I am a repeat customer , I keep coming back because its worth it. The food, the service the location is great. Jimmy (owner) always around, always checks on customers always make you feel wanted and appreciated.
The food was excellent, and the attentiveness of our server Bianca, the manager Joe, and the bus staff was top notch. A very relaxed and entirely enjoyable dinning experience.
I personally went for Restaurant Week but did not get the memo anywhere on their site or on the Restaurant Week site that they stop doing Restaurant Week on Saturdays at 7. My reservation was a 7:45 and we ended up just ordering app, entree, and dessert from the regular menu. I think it definitely wasn't worth it. Our apps were somehow served at the same time as our entrees. The salmon I got was very bland and overcooked, and the quinoa was tasteless. The lobster pasta was just ok. I wish I knew they stopped serving the Restaurant Week menu.
The food was really good, chicken is actually a good choice here. Thai calamari and lobster bisque were also delicious. I recommend requesting a table with an actual “view” but other than that it was really a wonderful experience. Service was outstanding
Beautiful restaurant, great ambiance, food was delicious! Our server Patricia was the sweetest and made us feel welcome. Hope to return, especially in the summer with it's gorgeous view!
Beautiful location on water. Professional staff and excellent food.
Great menus, attentive staff, beautiful location, out favorite restaurant for date nite every week or to bring friends and family
View did not disappoint. The food was excellent as was the service.
Went for restaurant week and the food was amazing. My boyfriend loved the duck tacos and said he would come back just to buy 10 plates of those. Everything was delicious and it was a nice spot for a date night.
Went on the first day of LI restaurant week. Great options on the prix fixed menu. Beautiful view, good food and friendly service. Will come back again!
My son’s 26th birthday
60th birthday I arrived early asked the waitress in the bar about a recommendation for a shot to surprise the guests when they arrived. She went to my server and asked her to put these Shots out on the table for 530! I wish I had gotten her name. She didn’t have to help me. Then the server Nicole was absolutely amazing attentive went above and beyond !!! She made this special occasion so much more special !!! The manager then gave the birthday girl a birthday gift ! A gift card and champagne. And let’s just the the View was amazing even in a cloudy day!!! 5 star experience
I’ve eaten at the View many times. I’ve been there with my family (10) for Easter and Mothers Day. We had a communion party there. They do a great job. I’ve never been disappointed. Great food, great drinks and also very important, great service.
The meals were well executed and service on point. Highly recommended for a nice meal out or for business.
Very pretty restaurant, but overpriced. The food was okay, nothing special. Great bread though! I would not go back.
Yhe View is always an exceptional experience. Great food, service and ambiance.
This is the second year in a row that we celebrated our anniversary at The View. The service was great. The food was outstanding. We love the bread and butter they serve. Our waiter was attentive and friendly. We enjoyed it thoroughly again.
Beautiful view! Was a little disappointed with the ultimate seafood cappicio because the lobster was hard to get out of the shell and I got the red sauce on my shirt. Other than that everything was delicious!
The Duck Tacos were delicious. The drink called the fire islander was great. Wonderful cuisine and menu variety. Worth the price
We've dined at the View many times over the years. This past meal (Friday Lunch) was particularly outstanding.
The view Restaurant did not have my reservation which I made on open tablet .
Beautiful restaurant on the water! Parking on site. Our waitress, Colleen, was awesome!
Food was good, service was good. There was a party going on in the dining room and it was VERY loud. The noise definitely took away from the dining experience.
well it all started at the bar no one came over or said hello finally a female bartender asked if we wanted a drink husband ordered male bartender then came over asked if i wanted a drink female bartender brings my husband wrong drink , Then we sit for dinner bus boy brings over water / about 10 min later waitress comes we order bottle of wine from the wine list/ we put our orders in still no bread, mgr joe u can see him helping all the large tables. Our apps come great/ then dinner my was horrible no lobster in dish tried to get someone over by then my husband was almost done with his meal, we flagged down another waitress who was so nice wanted to get me another meal at this point i was not happy / you can over hear them talking that the dish was not sufficent. she brought me out another one any way she felt bad, then the bill comes she over charged us for the wine / when we told her something and showed her the wine list with the price quoted she said prices went up wrong old wine list . I guess its your lucky day r you kidding me. Horrible serve all around. We eat at the other lesssing restaurants mostly the sand bar, maybe they should go there and train....
I’ve been there before and it was great. This particular night service was slow. I ordered the surf and turf and the lobster did not taste good at all.
From the moment we walked in to we left our experience was excellent. The food was amazing and the service was exceptional.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner with neighbors. Dining room was quiet on on a September Thursday. Entrees were all delicious and our server Blanca was terrific!
This place was recommended to me for its scenic view and ambience. That part was enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service didnt meet our expectations. My party of 2 sat outdoors and we werent attended to in a timely matter. Following our beverages our appetizer took almost an hour to come out. We also noticed tables surrounding us had bread. We had to ask a bus boy if we have to request the bread and he said we should of been served already. So we waited some more... once we finished our appetizers it took our waitress almost 40minutes to return. Needless to say, we got our bread with our entrees. So disappointing.
We had to stop other waiters so that they could grab her for us. We wouldve appreciated atleast an apology for the extreme wait and lack of service. Maybe it's because we were outdoors. We'd only return because our entrees were amazingly delicious. Id hesitate to recommend this place due to poor service.
Food was very very good and the ambience as well. Service was very much on the slow side. The entrance and bathrooms could have been tidier. Given that it is on the expensive side, not sure why these small attention to details were overlooked.
Great ambience, good food good service! The View is great and the food plus service make it a good place for a date, a party or any other evening.. it's a bit noisy
Went for an anniversary dinner. Great view, great service, thoroughly enjoyed the food and wine. A bit pricey but I would definitely go again.
Food and service were excellent. A very attentive staff and beautifully presented meal.
The restaurant has a fine quality ambiance and the menu reflected the same. We ended up with lobster and the short ribs (also known as Dish of the Year) and started with Peking Duck Tacos and Crab Cakes. Everything was delicious. The service could have been more consistent. I don't really like it when more than 3 people are serving us (we were only 2 people). But the servers were very sweet. Drinks were okay..could be better. The restaurant has a pretty decor and delightful South Bay setting. I would recommend it for a special occasions and family gatherings.
The service was extremely slow and inattentive. Hopefully it was just our waitress.
Anniversary dinner with AB great happy hour to start
The view is the best part of View. The eight of us had varying reviews on our orders. Some did not like their entre, others were fine. The standout was the Filet Mignon. The scallops tended to be sweet. The food is plentiful but hit or miss.
We have dined at The View before and our daughter wedding reception is being held there on November 3rd. The food is delicious and the staff attentive. We started with duck tacos that were superb. Burgers and seafood pasta entrees were great too! We look forward to the affair In Nov. knowing that Courtney is taking care of the arrangements. Cannot beat the views of the water on a beautiful day.
When we arrived at the View and were seated by a window overlooking the water we thought this would be a wonderful evening. Although the service was ok the food was a great disappointment. This was the second time we had a bad experience with a dinner at the View but thought we would give it another try. Certainly not a good value and for us and the View it’s two strikes and they are out.
The food was very good but the portions very small. I left feeling like I had 2 appetizers instead of an appetizer and entree.
