   The yuca and soft plantains were authentic Cuban & Puerto Rican dishes, however the empanadas were missing flavor and didn't enjoy the sauce served with them. I would go back and try other items on the menu.

   We are doing the alphabet with restrurants and V is for Victor's 1959. What a gem! The service was great and the food was even better. We will be back!

   Authentic Cuban cuisine offered in enough variety to keep you coming back again, and again, and again, etc. Friendliest staff I have ever encountered in a restaurant. And it's in Minneapolis. Incredible!

   I was really excited to go but my mango salmon was inedibly bad. It tasted like the salmon had turned and then was microwaved to rubber. I ordered it because it was recommended by the waitress. I didn’t eat it and when they asked why I told them and they seemed irritated at me about it. They did comp rice and beans but charged us for the salmon which was pretty expensive. My husband had the cubano and said it was okay but nothing special. Plantains were really good though and we love the atmosphere. Just disappointed it wasn’t a better experience.

    Albondigas were tasty and my Cuban sandwich was great. The hubs got the Ropa Vieja, which was kind of boring. Mistakenly, we thought Cuban food would be spicy. Not so! More about onions (which I hate) and salt. If you like it bland, go for it. Or just order the Cuban sandwich and call it a day.
