Visiting Savannah for the weekend, and wanted to do a nicer dinner one night. Vic’s had great reviews, and deservedly so I must say. We made a reservation but showed up a little early for it, and they were able to seat us right away. Great service throughout, nice ambiance, and the food was all excellent! I highly recommend the French Onion Soup as well as the Pan-Seared Jumbo Sea Scallops.
Great experience and highly recommend!
BEST fried green tomatoes in Savannah!
One of our favorite restaurants. Can count on good food and excellent service. Wine is bit pricey, but all part of the enjoyment. Had nice window table and reservation was honored.
outstanding food. best chicken liver recipe cooked perfectly
Great food and cocktails. The server was excellent.
Loved Vic’s on the River...our post Valentine date night in Savannah. We were there early so we got our requested window seat. Excellent service and our wine and meals were just wonderful! Love the She Crab soup, short ribs, and pork chops. And, of, course, the ambiance and history just added to a wonderful evening! We will be back!
We hadn't been here in over 10 years as our last experience was not good. Our lunch date on Valentine's Day changed our minds. The food was much better, the service was great!
It was outstanding!!
From start to finish everything was excellent. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and our server Steve made our lunch so special. He was the best! Thanks again for another great experience!!
Visiting from Boston where water views, comfort food and the service are traditionally all great, Vic's and Savannah exceeded expectations. It was the perfect place for Sunday brunch and catching up with old friends.
Excellent food. Great service. Only drawback was noise level.
Excellent in every aspect, table was great and ready at scheduled time
Good, solid restaurant. Went there since heard the live music was good but so loud you could only hear singer if in bar. Wife liked the sauces on the shrimp and octopus appetizers-I did not. Felt all you tasted was the sauce, not the seafood. Crab cakes were 100% lump crabmeat-some of the largest pieces I have had. Unfortunately bland, no real taste.
I love the food and the ambiance. Vic's is one of my favorite restaurants in Savannah. Every time I visit the city, it's on my to-do list.
We had a late lunch at 3. It was good food with an okay selection but we would have preferred a dinner menu. Good selection of wines and beers. Great octopus. Try it you will like it
Our first visit to Savannah and to Vics
Great food outstanding service
All around a fantastic night out
We started off with a Cosmopolitan and a Dirty Bleu Martini, and both were excellent. I had the halibut special and my wife had the crab cakes. Both entrees were great. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. We will return to Vic’s on a future trip to Savannah.
The brisket was waonderful! The special Halibut with the pecan crust was the special - not up to their standards. The service was excellent, the reastaurant was vibrant, busy and fun!
Vic's wasn't our first choice for dinner Friday night, but it turned out very nice. The staff was very welcoming and attentive. Our waiter, David, was charming, informative, and brought his personality in a professional way. Our food was prepared perfectly with nice attention to presentation. For out-of-towners whose taste is not attuned to heavy southern comfort fare, this had a nice balance of traditional southern touches with more contemporary, healthy preparation. My salmon was prepared with olive oil instead of butter on my request without hesitation and it was perfectly grilled.
First time there -- had a reservation -- and they tried to stick us right by the Bay Street entrance. Points off for that, but they did reseat us. Food was very good, I felt the service was a bit rushed. We were barely in our seats and the waiter was rattling off specials. Again, he was good, but wow, can I take my coat off?
