Were sat by kitchen door so table was not the best and when we asked about a table by window was told they were reserved, well we had a reservation too?? Food was excellent, drink service was very slow.
Salmon entrees for the two of us were excellent. However, the kale salad and the spinach and pear salad were pretty skimpy for an additional eight dollars each. Should have opted for the salad that came with the entree. Service was excellent and cordial.
I did enjoy Vick’s. I gage a 3. For one review. My fault on ordering oysters.. I did order 8. At the price of 33.00. Again that’s on me for not checking the price. Me thinking that maybe 2 dollars each. I did not think in my life I would eat the Most expensive oysters in my life. Will say my food was good besides the expensive oysters. My fault
Vic’s was recommended by the concierge of our hotel. My husband and I were visiting Savannah for a romantic, late winter break, just the two of us. Vic’s on the River was a wonderful suggestion and we were so happy that we listened. Our server James was professional, personable, and attentive to a perfect degree... not hovering but we wanted for nothing. But the food! Amazing. What an exceptional meal. My husband had the pecan crusted flounder with andouille sausage hash. I had the special, Black grouper topped with two grilled jumbo shrimp over herbed Parmesan risotto, blistered cherry tomatoes and roasted asparagus, with a white wine beurre blanc. For desert we shared the peach trio.
We managed to score a window table with a great view of the riverfront. The piano bar is a lot of fun, lending a great atmosphere to the evening, if you have a few minutes to wait for a table. Vic’s earned top marks across the board. We hope to return.
Great location and atmosphere. We were seated at a table overlooking the river from the second floor. The outdoor dining does not overlook the river but is situated under trees on the historic cobblestone street. Would dine here again!
Celiac and vegetarian friendly as well; clean and spacious environment in historic and scenic setting.
Food was excellent, deserts were fantastic, will return
2nd time in Savannah and had to repeat dinner at Vic's. Best dinner, great crabcakes and the floinder was outstanding! Don't miss!!!
Friendly and attentive staff. Outstanding food from start to finish.
Food was ok but not worth the price. Staff was not friendly and seemed bothered if you asked a question like where is the bathroom. My table ordered the Scallops and the lamb. The Scallops were good but the sides were not. The lamb was ok...a little overcooked and the sides were ok. If you want upscale atmosphere it is a good place to waste some money.
Great experience as always. Daniel took great care of us!
The food was excellent, but our server was a bit scattered. He left a lot to be desired. Not attentive.
Chose to sit near the bar. Casual dining with nice music in the background. Great oysters Rockafeller , good Manhattan. Not the place to order Southern Fried chicken
Great venue but our waiter had an off night
This place has such a romantic vibe for dinner! It is quite loud, but the service is incredible. Our waitress was perfect and was able to answer any questions we had about the menu. Definitely a comfort food place. For two it'll be in $ range.
