Made a reservation for Father’s Day and we loved it with excellent food and service, ambience, with view of the river. The waiter told us that we can go out on balcony and take pictures and we did that. Amazing view of the river! Highly recommended!
Excellent food and service. Daniel was amazing. Will return.
Always a go to when company comes to Savannah, great food, professional service
The good was ok. The server, Stephen, rush us through taking our Oder ‘ service!!
Mole was our sever and he made our experience wonderful! At the end, Jesse covered for about 10 mins and the service continued to be excellent! Highly recommend Vic’s on the River! Ask for Mike! You won’t be disappointed!
Really like the bar and high tops. Dining room is a bit sterile and loud.
Our meals were very good. Our server Brent was just great.
Amazing! Had the filet so good! Truffle fries, biscuits, and asparagus all superb!
Some of the best food I have ever tasted! Beautiful location.
Our server was amazing, literally the best we’ve ever had. He kept our drinks full and the meal came out at the perfect pace. The experience was great and we’ll be back again.
Beautiful restaurant with the most incredible food!
Best meal I’ve had in years, and gave my compliments to the chef! Chilean Seabass - it was just fantastic.
Very attentive but not intrusive waiter, and lovely restaurant setting. A very enjoyable experience for “fancy date night.”
Very good as a whole. Table overlooking the river was nice and food was good. Pretty loud as two bachelorette party’s around us.
Waitress was amazing. Steak was over cooked and tough. The biscuits were tough and reminded us of gas station microwaved biscuits. She crab soup was amazing and the sea bass was amazing. Food and drinks were overpriced for the quality received.
Great service and atmosphere!
We went for our anniversary. From the time we arrive until the time we left service was top notch. Our waitress was very energetic and on top of things. The food was great as well. The atmosphere in the restaurant was nice as . The hostess and waitress acknowledged it was our anniversary and the waitress even brought out a dessert after our meal to celebrate our special occasion. Highly recommend and will return.
Took the elevator to the 4th floor for our 9pm reservation reading the sign saying the elevator would close at 10. We were greeted right away and taken through a maze of tables. White linens and oil candles are a sweet touch. The water was cold and clean with no weird aftertaste like some have. The large party next to us were very loud and the waiter had to yell over them but he got the job done. The room felt warmer than was comfortable and I had to blow out the candle. The smell was overwhelming. We ordered the Rum punch and Vics margarita. Both very good and a bit spicy. The fried Calamari was tasty but would have been better if the sauce was on the side instead of underneath in the bowl. My husband had the special, 18oz prime rib and it was Perfect. I had the fried shrimp . It was a very large portion, battered lightly with not too much crunch. The shoestring fries were seasoned very well. Im not usually a fan of coleslaw but it was very good. Not too sweet and the prefect mix of not too dry and not mushy. We did not have room for desert although the table next to us ordered probably one of everything and it all looked amazing. The price was to be expected and the waiter was very attentive and had good energy. After overhearing the large party complaining about the 18% gratuity we happily gave him the tip he deserved for a service well done. We had to ask how to get the stairs side exit of the building but we're quickly shown the way.
The food is always fantastic. Someone had the idea to combine tambourine and piano in an effort to totally ruin the experience. Luckily our great waitress and food didn’t allow that to happen. In my experience the music at a restaurant is as good as food at a concert. Which is to say; it’s horrid. Once again my theory was proven correct but happy to say the food more than made up for it all.
It was an anniversary dinner and we had requested to sit outside. A crazy night, lots of folks requesting patio, but the staff made sure that we didn’t have to wait too long and then we had a lovely table outside. We were able to have a quiet dinner in the breeze by the old trees and they gave us a dessert and every congratulation. Thank you!
Food was delicious and our servers were amazing. Very nice and personable and patient. Thank you!
Our anniversary diner at Vic’s on the River was delightful, and exceeded our expectations. From our first sips of Brut Rose champagne, to well crafted dishes featuring crab and scollops accompanied by a nice sancerre, we couldn’t be happier celebrating 55 yrs together. When our server invited us on the balcony for a few pics, everyone there celebrating an anniversary got into the occasion. The great food and wine brought a bunch of great couples together to share their special day with each other in a unique culinary experience on the River. Only in Savannah at Vic’s.
It was amazing and quite a special treat! The service, food and view are unbeatable.
Gorgoues charming restaurant with incredible water views!

This was a world-class meal with great food and excellent service. Don’t miss this place!
We love the location. It's an old 4 story building on the river front and a true landmark. Our table on the top floor which is where the main entrance is was superb. Right in front of a balcony with an outstanding view of the Georgia Queen paddle boat and the Savannah River. The staff was friendly and the service was very good. We also enjoyed the food. The she-crab soup was truly outstanding! And the biscuits and honey butter were excellent too.
On a trip to Savannah and Vic’s was perfect for us! Food and service are great!
Fantastic lunch! Was so special. We lived everything we ordered! Highly recommend this restaurant. The shrimp and grits were amazing as was three peach dessert! Just outstanding start to finish.
Fantastic food with great view and service!!
Our 1st time here. Albert’s service and friendly personality made for a great experience. Food was superb. Will be back.
Absolutely loved Christina at the front hostess stand and Ashley as our waitress! Best experience and food. Will absolutely be back!
We were seated at our reservation time & had an excellent meal. Our waitress was wonderful and informative. She gave great recommendations and the food was delicious.
Disappointed. We are experienced diners; high end to rustic. Friendly but terrible service. No bread service, salads, waited 20 minutes to order then 20 to get an ice by jet after asking. Then 20 for dessert then 20 for check. You get the picture. Should have gone to Husk or Grey::)) would like our money back! And it was our anniversary!
An all around fabulous meal!
Everything was amazing. Highly recommend. If ever back in the area will definitely visit again!!
The food was tasty. But the salmon could’ve been much larger.
