Bring your guests to enjoy a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, bah mitzvah, bat mitzvah, dinner party, luncheon or business meeting in one of our private dining rooms overlooking the Savannah River. Our fifth floor Stoddard Room can seat up to 150 guests at one time and provides two balconies onto which the guests can walk and enjoy the view. Victor Hall, our middle sized room, also on the 5th floor, can accommodate up to 50 people for a seated dinner or can be added to the Stoddard Room for a larger capacity. This room also has a balcony to enjoy the views. Our smaller Dieter’s Den is located on the third floor and can seat as few as 10 and as many as 40 guests for a more intimate dining experience. Two large windows offer a view of the picturesque Talmadge Bridge just west down the Savannah River from the Dieter's Den.

Our go to when in Savannah. Love the atmosphere, live music…the food is consistently fabulous! My husband says the Fried Chicken is the best he’s ever had, I had the Beef Short Ribs this time and they were delicious. Our server, Ashley provided excellent service and was an absolute delight. Will look forward to our next visit.

We can always count on a good meal and service at Vic's and that's why we go there for special occasions and when company come in to Savannah for other places! James was a good knowledgeable server and made the meal very enjoyable ! Of course we will be going back !

I was blown away by the customer service and food that I received - EXCELLENT! I never write reviews, but I had to for this place. I’m gluten & dairy free and I have a shrimp allergy, so there’s always a lot of questions and substitutions that come with my meal, unfortunately. Our waitress did not skip a beat and was incredibly informed and SO helpful with my allergies. The manager even came out and verified that he talked to the cook about my shrimp allergy. This rarely happens at restaurants, so I’m always so thankful for the added layer of assurance. When the food came out, the cook had made a special dairy free sauce for my salmon dish that was delectable! It was seriously the best salmon dish I have ever had, and I order salmon quite frequently. The other two people at my table, with no allergies, agreed that the food was exceptional! Vic’s on the River is an absolute 10/10 in my book and I look forward to come back next time I’m in Savannah!

We had a table on the third floor that was where larger groups sat. Only 5 tables in our area so it was quiet and easy to talk to each other. Food was delicious and service was fantastic. We would definitely go back again

My food was delicious and I’ll have to say my specialty drink that I always drink their savanna peach martini was fabulous. Enjoyed it it was so nice always going above and beyond. And our little waitress she was great. Actually coming back Wednesday.

Some of the best She Crab Soup we’ve ever had. The Crab Cake was sublime. The Fried Green Tomato was good but the coating was a bit thicker than I like it. Our entrees Shrimp & Grits and Seared Scallops were both exceptional. I also appreciated that I could get a glass of house wine for $7. Most places charge over $10 for a glass of wine that came out of a $10 bottle. Our server was lovely but I apologize because I don’t recall her name. We will be back.

We had a bar top table next to the window which was lovely. The calamari was some of the best we have ever had. We also ordered the fried green tomato sandwich which was yummy - very rich - and also the chicken salad. I highly recommend Vic's on the River!

Our server was delightful. I like the view of the river, and the VERY historic Civil War map carved into one wall. The crab cakes are extraordinary, but small and at $16 per cake, expensive. Not blaming the restaurant, just sayin’. The She Crab soup did not come with an offering of sherry, as is traditional.

This was a date night for my wife and I. We intentionally delayed ordering between apps, first course and entree because we hate when we feel rushed and courses come on top of each other. We got the vibe early into our evening that this place moves to turn tables as we kept of getting “are you ready?” About 5 mins after ordering our salad we ordered entrees. The salad was delivered and within a minute after 1-2 bites of salad the entrees arrived. I looked at the runner and said “but our salads just got here” to which he looked confused and proceeded to set our entrees down and walk away. On top of their need to rush, they forgot to provide my wife’s vegetable (asparagus) with her meal. The server actually seemed sincere about trying to help and contacted the manager (we saw the 2 talk) and the manager never walked over to our table to address, or even apologize for, the issue. The food is good but don’t go here if you want a relaxing dinner. Their goal is to treat you like a tourist and flip as many tables in a night as they can, even in November when the restaurant was at half capacity.

We really liked everything about this restaurant. The only thing that could be improved is the interruption by the waiter. He would just come to the table and butt in. Even if your waiters just pause, without saying anything, diners would stop conversation and acknowledge them. It seems a "given" that waiters have the right to override your conversation. To me it is rude.

Vic’s was recommended as a romantic dinner with great food and great service. It did not disappoint. We had wonderful food (Don’t miss the she crab soup.) and service that was on point. Would definitely come back to try other menu items.

Amazing service and perfect first meal on our vacation to Savannah. Somehow we even got a firework show from across the river and watching the Dinner Boat cruise come in to dock were splendid sideshows.

The food and our server was outstanding. However , when we first got there the hostess (older lady) asked if we wanted to sit in the bar at a high top. No …..it was very load with some live music. If we would wanted loud bar scene ….we would have gone to a bar ! She then seated us in the dining room in a row of tables that each only seated two, with just enough room to squeeze through to sit down. I was not happy ! We have always had great service at Vic’s , but this hostess was just horrible. I wanted to leave since I don’t think that a more upscale dining experience like Vic’s needs to cram their customers together when there were plenty of empty tables. Thankfully our waitress , after my request , was able to get us moved to a better table, and the remainder of our dining experience was wonderful!

Bring your guests to enjoy a wedding reception, rehearsal dinner, bah mitzvah, bat mitzvah, dinner party, luncheon or business meeting in one of our private dining rooms overlooking the Savannah River. Our fifth floor Stoddard Room can seat up to 150 guests at one time and provides two balconies onto which the guests can walk and enjoy the view. Victor Hall, our middle sized room, also on the 5th floor, can accommodate up to 50 people for a seated dinner or can be added to the Stoddard Room for a larger capacity. This room also has a balcony to enjoy the views. Our smaller Dieter’s Den is located on the third floor and can seat as few as 10 and as many as 40 guests for a more intimate dining experience. Two large windows offer a view of the picturesque Talmadge Bridge just west down the Savannah River from the Dieter's Den.
