   Dining experience started out great as we were seated by the window overlooking the river at 6:45 for a 7:00 reservation. Waiter filled water glasses and said he would return for drink order. When he returned, we ordered drinks and said he would return to take our food order. I thought it took too long to bring drinks, like 20 minutes. When he finally brought the drinks, we placed food order consisting of one appetizer and two entrees. At some point there was a basket of biscuits delivered to the table by another server. At 8:00, we were out of drinks, out of biscuits and looking for the appetizer which showed up around that time. Our waiter showed back up and said our food was on the way and we ordered another round of drinks. Around 8:25, I asked why the food was taking so long and he said it was being put together as we speak. About 10 minutes later food showed up followed by our second drink order. All of the food was excellent and my wife even said this was the best steak she had ever eaten. Our waiter, sensing our frustration explained that high season had just begun and they were having staffing issues. It looked like he was taking care of our table and three others around us. He would also disappear for long stretches of time. So around 9:00, he showed back up and asked if we were interested in dessert which we were not. Check was as expected and reasonable for the food quality. So the bottom line is the flow was way off and could have been a lot better. 2 1/2 hours which should have been 1 1/2 hours for the entire dining experience. I have been to fine dining establishments that have taken this long but waiters were way more attentive and filled the time by checking on us more and asking if we wanted more of anything. This was NOT a fine dining restaurant!

   Dodd was expensive and very disappointing. Pasta overcooked. Sauce with no taste. Scallops over cooked. Risotto was gummy. Scallops were gritty with sand. Server was very nice and personable. Drinks were ok. Would never go there again. Very disappointing. Spent $44.00 on entre that was poorly cooked. Could not finish it

   We have been here on multiple occasions. Essentially every time we come to Savannah. Always a great meal.

   Inconsiderate when seating is as I have ambulatory issues and asked for a table. Made reservations months ago. They said they could not find them. Then after locating then sat us in a terrible place where I was very uncomfortable. All the workers came in and out of the door right beside me sometimes bumping and shaking the divider between me and their path. There were at least 7 available tables when we arrived. They would not accommodate us. Food was not exceptional at all. Workers were polite but unpolished. The atmosphere was raucous. I would not recommend.

   The view is beautiful overlooking the Savannah river. The food was mediocre.

   Always consistent - bartender and waiters have been there for ever. Highly recommend a reservation or 1-2 ppl can hope for a spot at the bar which has awesome views

   Our dinner at Cic’a on the River was excellent! Great service and excellent food!! I would highly recommend!!

    Wonderful ambiance! Live piano was lovely. My Mom and I sat near the bar at a high top table. Excellent service. However the food was mediocre. My Mom’s scallops were cooked well but very salty. The risotto was mushy and the consistency of mashed potatoes. Very disappointing. My crab cake was small and dense. Very cake like texture. Did not enjoy. For the price I expected better quality food. The only dish we truly enjoyed was the fried green tomatoes and pecan pie.
