   Excellent food and service. Great atmosphere and live entertainment on the weekend. Which was excellent as well. Can’t wait to come back!

   The crab cakes were delicious and the pecan pie exceeded our expectations. Our server was friendly and informative. Vics is a quiet place for an anniversary celebration. I would highly recommend this restaurant on the river in Savannah.

   This wasn’t the dining experience we hoped for. Reservations made well in advance. Arrived with 5 instead of 6 attending. Went to a table downstairs. Waiter seemed annoyed saying we shouldn’t be there because we were a 5 top. Staff discussed. Then they moved us upstairs at a tiny table in the corner. Ordered food. One persons food didn’t arrive with the rest. Finally got waiter (others were almost done). She apologized and eventually brought his sandwich (yes just a sandwich). Then dropped ice while filling water (no big deal). We had to help hand stuff over while clearing table (also no big deal). However, the bill was $175. I don’t expect this service for that price point. We then got the bill and payed. Waitress returned with someone else’s credit card not my American Express Platinum. We were celebrating my son’s college graduation with a friend and wanted to show them a good experience. Epic fail. Service was blah and food was so-so. Expected better at that price point. They remarked we should have went to xxxx (another less expensive place). They may have been right.

   We always find Vics a good place for lunch on the river. like an early seating and the lunch menu is excellent.

   We had the best server, Zack. He was extremely good at making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive on the conversation. The meal, drinks and atmosphere were perfect. Added bonus was the very cool bar for after dinner.

   Food was very good. My husband had the pork chop and it was slightly overcooked but still pinkish. He said the flavor was delicious. I had 2 4 oz. cold water lobster tails with asparagus. Very good. The only complaint I have was that the drawn butter was salted. I don’t know if they added salt but I would have preferred unsalted drawn butter. Other than that, I would definitely go back.

    Overall, loved it. Great server, food, and drinks. Would have been better if we’d had a table overlooking the rive4!
