Fantastic food and service. Lunch was a great deal.
The best restaurant in Philadelphia. Lunch is excellent and the wine selection to go with every dish is superb though the prive is somewhat on the high side. The service is attentive and really wonderful. A great place to go to for a special occasion.
Consistently excellent. Service is very helpful and not rushed.
THE BEST RESTAURANT IN PHILADELPHIA! The welcome, attentive service, the fantastic gourmet, delicious food that takes 3 hours to taste. The relaxed atmosphere. The fresh homemade bread and one of a kind desserts. I especially enjoyed the Monday BYOB night.
Amazing special occasion dinner with my partner. Everything was outstanding and on point. I can’t recommend Vetri enough, from the food to the experience and especially the people who are Vetri. Absolutely fantastic!
From start to finish Ahhhhhhhmazing!
Vetri always exceeds expectations and our expectations are always high when we go there!
Dinner was amazing. I highly recommend just letting the chef choose your meal. You will be pleasantly surprised! And the wine pairing is totally worth it.
the foooood was divine, I will be thinking about this meal until I am able to return again. The staff was very knowledgeable and brought out exactly what we wanted for each plate. My friend said "it's like they are reading my mind". It is expensive but this is a dining experience you should not miss.
The #1 restaurant in the city by far. You don’t just have dinner, you have an experience. From start to finish. Service was impeccable and wines were outstanding. The food was incredibly delicious and on point. A must go to destination.
Everything about Vetri is exceptional. Thoughtful, attentive service; exquisite food made from top-quality ingredients; and a general feeling of relaxed enjoyment of food and company. The price fixe four-course lunch is an excellent opportunity to try the best restaurant in Philadelphia if you can’t get a dinner reservation or can’t quite afford the dinner price. Lunch also is not inexpensive but is well worth the $85 charge.
Vetri is very good, but it's also very expensive. Is the food twice as good and any other fine restaurant? No, it isn't. Dinner for two, with the abridged wine pairings, and generous tip was $620!! My wife and I have had many fine meals at half that price. Regardless, I'm glad we went just to experience what was certainly a first-class dinner.
2nd time going. Service is excellent- though I will say that is an understatement.
Everyone should go at least one time to experience it. The price point is not affordable for many- worth saving up for however. Food is beautiful in look, taste, feel in your mouth. Such care and attention I have not experienced anywhere.
From the time we entered the restaurant our experience was terrific! The service was impeccable! The food was even better. Definitely the best dining experience we ever had.
My husband and I went to Vetri Cucina to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The staff went out of their way to make this a very special event. The food was delicious and the courses were served so that we never felt rushed throughout the entire meal. Also, the menu is a tasting menu but I have a dairy allergy so the chef and the staff were extremely accommodating in preparing the food. It was not an inexpensive evening but certainly worth the price as the food and service were outstanding.
Vetri was one of the best dining experiences of my life. They took care of everything for us and had the most exquisite and unique cuisine. I hope to return soon and would definitely recommend this to anyone open to try new things as their menu is limited, but we asked to be surprised and were not disappointed by any dish.
Amazing dinner. Kyle was so attentive and kind. Can't wait to return!
The best that Philly has to offer. A Michelin quality restaurant. Tasting menu is the only option. You can make suggestions but my advice is to let the chef make the decisions with the exception of allergies. The chef knows the highlights of the menu. I ate things that I would normally never order. My fiancé had goat as her entree. It was incredible. Small portions of many different dishes. We were sufficiently full when we left.
The wine pairing is a must. For most people this is a once in a lifetime experience. High end Italian Food is meant to be paired with wine. Again, let the staff decide. They will ask for your personal preferences and base the pairing on that.
The restaurant is very unassuming on the outside. It would be easy to walk right by. The dining room is one small room in an old city house. Quaint. Only about twenty guests there at the same time as us. Noise is not a problem at all.
Be prepared for a hefty check. It’ll be north of 500 with pairing for two. That being said, you won’t find a finer restaurant in Philly and possibly New York.
Our magnificent server told us they would take us on a journey, and that they did. Every dish was a surprise of flavors and combinations. My husband and I each received a different dish for each course with accompanying wine and a detailed explanation. We walked in from a monsoon into this warm and cozy townhouse with a stunning Murano chandelier, just what was needed. The service is impeccable, they make you feel as if you are the only ones there. The food and wine pairings are perfection. Sublime.
A true culinary experience to be enjoyed by the even the finest of palates.
Chef's menu was outstanding. From the home-made (and home ground) breads (3) to the multiple appetizers, pasta dishes, meats and desserts, it was the outstanding meal we've come to expect, but do greatly appreciate, at Vetri's.
The food is fantastic. We had white truffle supplement which is spirit lifting. There's only one thing bothered me. I found a hair in my dessert. Although they helped me changed my dessert, I had to say it's so disappointing to have such experience in a fine dining restaurant.
Excellent service, phenomenal food and selection, and fantastic wine list. The best Italian restaurant in Philly!!!
This is where words start to fail you. Trundled in - floated out.
Very disappointed, and it wasn’t our first time dining there. Dishes were delivered lukewarm and tasted as though they had been prepared in advance and had been sitting out...we didn’t even finish some of the dishes. There were four of us and we could not have a conversation that lasted a couple of minutes before being constantly interrupted by the server(s) explaining/questioning/fussing...so frustrating. What an overpriced overhyped dinner and the room could use a makeover—very depressing atmosphere and the service is so pretentious. Vetri was apparently engaged in a private event upstairs so perhaps that accounts for the poor quality, but really, for $1300, could you please deliver me a plate of hot food? Never again...
Chris Pico and the chefs provided us with an amazing dining experience, this place should be called "Chris Pico Rocks" instead of Vetri Cucina.
One of a kind experience! The food is incredible, staff is second to none.
Amazing service with incredible dishes
The tasting menu and wine pairing at Vetri Cucina was a wonderful experience. One of our top five life-time meals for sure. The dining area is intimate and cozy. On a Wednesday night the place was full. Service was attentive and extremely knowledgeable. The food was out of this world and the wine pairings were spot-on. Vetri Cucina does the food tasting and wine pairing a little differently from most places -- they select what they will serve you and you don't know for certain what you will get. In our case, my wife and I got different food servings and different wine servings at each course, prompting a good bit of across-the-table sampling of one another's food and wine. Each course was a surprise, as was the wine pairing with that course. The waiter did show us the broad selection of dishes that they would choose from and asked us if there were any he should avoid, or any types of food that he should emphasize. We said no and left ourselves in his good hands and were pleased with his choices for us. An evening of fine dining is expensive these days, so be prepared to mortgage the house. Dinner, drinks and tip for two people came to $700.
We arrived over an hour late for our reservation due to trafficking c snarls. They called and held the table for us. Very positive start especially after a frustrating commute.
We were welcomed, and the two of us were seated at a table for 4, providing a luxurious dining table. The restaurant is in a wide row house with good room between tables, well lit, and with a pleasant busy restaurant noise.
The spritzer of Prosecco and compari was a bracing start.
We chose the full wine pairing that was too much wine for us, so we did not have any dessert wines. Each wine was accurately described in detail and accentuated the dish.
Each small course was edible gemstones of flavor. We were served 6 small ethereal pastas, none with a tomato sauce. I have a memory of an exquisite series of palatal epiphanies, so closely spaced they meld into one glorious memory.
Our modest sized, thank goodness, entreés of lamb and white fish were perfection.
We took most of the dessert course home. The pistachio cream center of the pistachio “cupcake” embodied the essence of pistachio. The chocolate mousse, velvety redolent of chocolate slid over the palate so smoothly it hardly seemed to have any mass.
Truly a fabulous experience.
Unreal ambiance and hospitality. Tara ran after us in the freezing cold because we forgot the dessert cookies! Thanks for going above and beyond
This is worth every penny and then some. Truly a one of a kind dining experience. The depth of knowledge on every menubitem was incredible. Truly exceptional.
Everything about Vetri Cucina is five star!! We recently were there for a family celebration and food, staff, and wine pairings just couldn't be better. We have no complaints would definitely come back especially for a special celebration.
We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The whole experience was amazing! This was the best meal/service we have ever had. Our service and the staff were available but not overbearing. Even though the seating is somewhat tight, it didn't feel on top of the other patrons. We just loved it and it was a perfect way to celebrate 40 years of marriage!
Best dining experience we have had. A bit pricey but it was altogether worth it.
Simply out of bounds. Ridiculous. Superb. Not a meal, a complete dining experience.
Vetri Cucina is simply one of the finest restaurants in the country. The food is spectacular, the room is elegant, and the service is impeccable. For me, it is the epitome of fine dining. Trends come and go, trendy restaurants come and go, but Vetri remains at the highest levels of Philadelphia dining. We went for lunch, served only on Friday, with an $85 four course menu, three or four choices in each course, that is about half the cost of the dinner prix fixe and includes what they call lagniappe in Louisiana. A pairing matches wines, some rare, with each dish. Vetri is special, an experience to be savored, and that's what our party did. It's no coincidence that Vetri's kitchen has launched the careers of some of the finest and most notable chefs, not only in Philadelphi, but in New York as well.
This was my first time here and all I can say is what an amazing dining experience! Such attention is paid to every detail from allergies and dislikes, (even before you get there), to individual choices, food quality, plate presentations, wine pairings, and Service, which was so attentive, but not suffocating! The atmosphere was also very inviting and relaxing. The food, (knowledge/care) is beyond words...... The best way to review this restaurant is to say after dining here, My life is complete!
Super good, Super expensive
I had a fantastic time. Our server, Chris, was incredibly knowledgeable about the wines being served and even indulged in conversation regarding wine and the wine making process. Everyone was polite and kind. My guest and I received separate dishes and were able to share the wonderful experience. And the value for such an amazing dinner could not be beat!
