This was our first time dining at Valette. I was looking forward to trying the scallops. They were very good and did not disappoint, the en croute is quite the presentation with two scallops nestled inside. Our waiter cut a hole in the top and poured the caviar infused sauce over the scallops and cut into the dish splitting it between us. It was delicious!

However, I have to say the semolina pasta was my favorite. The delicate pasta was so cooked perfectly with just enough creamy sauce clinging to each bite. The diced zucchini and yellow squash were lightly cooked and had a firmness that’s added freshness to this indulgent dish. The epicuren grade prosciutto was the decadent treat to round out the flavor profile of this dish. I could have eaten the whole plate myself!

The ahi poke was also a winner. The chunks of fresh poki layered onto the seaweed chips, the warm tempura fried avocado slices along with the fresh seaweed was like a celebration in my mouth. I will definitely get this again!!

We also shared the vegetarian entree, corn fritters with liquid tortilla and mole sauce. These were good but after a couple of bites they were just ok. These would be better as an appetizer instead of an entree IMO.
My husband and I shared all of these dishes along with the bread and butter and we were satisfied but not stuffed. I’d love to go back and try the filet and I will definitely be getting the semolina pasta again.

So happy to find this gem in downtown Healdsburg was accepting reservations for a limited number of in-door dining groups, and even more pleased to get a reservation over the July 4th weekend. Beautiful, stylish space with friendly and welcoming staff! And the food was absolutely delicious with generous portions, at a very reasonable price. Several individuals stopped by our table to inquire how our dinner was and we were surprised to find out that one gentleman was the father of the 2 brothers that own the restaurant! Extremely pleased with our meal and we will definitely return........strongly recommend a visit to this lovely establishment! 😊

For starters, my wife had the Sonoma Salad and I had the Scallops en Croute. Delicious! Then she had the Lamb Duo and I had the Duck Breast. Both were prepared to perfection! For my birthday, I received a menu with my name printed on top of the menu signed by the chef and kitchen staff. I also received a birthday card and a complimentary Chocolate Bloc for dessert. Our server Frank was friendly and efficiently took great care of us. Another gentleman stopped by and chatted with us to make sure we enjoyed our dinner, twice. Valette is a precious gem. We are looking forward to our next visit. We simply can’t wait!

Our evening out at Valette was the first night my husband and I ventured out. We felt so comfortable and safe dining at Valette and their staff was fabulous. From the time we arrived to the time we left we felt safe and everyone followed great amount of safety precautions. And it felt so GOOD to see our friends again at Valette. So happy they all returned and were safe and healthy. It always feels like we are entering CHEERS when we arrive.

We had to wait a few minutes for our reservation which is no big deal to us on a beautiful night. We received complimentary wine and a charcuterie platter. How nice was that! Best salad app I have ever had. Fish main dishes were fantastic. Favorite meal of our trip!

It was Father’s Day we really enjoyed going to Valette restaurant it was so much fun there our appetizers and Entrees were off hook delicious and flavorful plus I enjoyed lattes there with they deserts there and it was special for my dad we are bless to have a wonderful waitress there she was on her game and we will defiantly be back for the new Valette soon thank you a lot many thanks !!!😀😀😎😎😎

The restaurant is open and inviting with lovely decor and low lighting, encouraging intimate conversations but also group celebrations.
Service was 5 star - everyone was tremendously attentive, including the owner of the restaurant who came over to check on us twice!
The food was creative, unique and delicious, from appetizer to entree. The burrata was punctuated with interesting flavors from kumquats and the scallops were smothered in a butter sauce and covered by a dome of puff pastry that we enthusiastically dipped into the sauce. Just delicious.
Excellent wine selection - I close a Chablis and my partner selected a local cabernet, both of which were lovely.
Overall, a perfect evening of food, service and ambiance. I would definitely return here again.

We dined here shortly after Sonoma allowed restaurants to reopen.
I tend to give out very few 5s (no grade inflation) so I would rate Valette as very good.
SERVICE: Service was uniformly excellent - very attentive despite the difficulty of working while wearing masks and gloves. The restaurant was also thoughtful about minimizing COVID risk - having a defined path to the restrooms which avoided walking in front of the open kitchen, new glasses of water (rather than refilling from a pitcher).
FOOD RECS: 1) Sonoma County Lamb Duo - the rack of lamb and braised leg were flavorful and juicy, 2) Coriander Crusted Duck Breast - very good and also came with a leg of Crispy Confit, and 3) Charcuterie & Cheese (great appetizer platter to share) - 4 types of charcuterie (delicious), crostini, 2 types of cheese, and olives/cornichons, 4) Hawaiian Ahi Poke style - generous serving of ahi poke.
OVERALL: Valette is a bit on the expensive side, but you get very good food and excellent service. Given the current difficult times for restaurants, dining at Valette is well worthwhile.

Dustin Valette is the most talented chef in Sonoma County. We had the 5 course dinner with wine pairing. Each got a different selection for each of the courses, so we got 10 different items, all excellently prepared and served. Will was an excellent waiter
It was a little different but we felt completely safe. And we are germaphobics. All staff wore masks correctly, water refilled in separate glasses, staff wore gloves. Tables spread apart.
We will be back!!

We are so proud of our local gem Valette. During local crisis's they have fed the
first responders and helped feed low income residents during the current pandemic.
That being said, the food, the atmosphere, the caring staff and the amazing food are all perfect in every way. The people dining at Valette for the first time will feel right at home. The take-out menu was just amazing, a person couldn't ask for more !!!

This dinner was for our 10 yr anniversary. Due to Covid and a string of other family things we have not been out on a date in 8 months. By far one of the best dates, dinner and experiences at a restaurant we have ever had. I Highly recommend Chef/Ower Dustin and all the staff at Velette! The food, staff, ambiance were all perfect for our special night! I can’t wait to go back!

We live in Martha's Vineyard with fresh seafood galore. However, I have never tasted better halibut that what I had Sunday night. Nathan Davis cooked it to perfection. Ten seconds either way can make a difference, and he nailed it. My daughter had the black cod, and said it was great as well. The s'more is more than it appears on the menu - delicious dessert. Dad, Bob Valette, was making the rounds, and makes everyone feel welcomed.

An outstanding experience at this well-run restaurant. One of the best meals I've ever eaten. The duck was truly the best I've ever had. Delicious and beautiful salad. Chef is incredibly trained and intelligent and it shows at every level.

There was a lot of running around our table by the staff. The layout made our table end up in the middle of the room. Not really okay for a restaurant of that standard.
Service was adequate, barely.
The food was lovely, and the service at the bar was great. The rest was unpolished.

This place is AMAZING! We went for my wife's birthday, and we were not disappointed. The staff was fantastic and the "Trust us" menu + wine pairing served up some truly fantastic tastes.

The only negative thing I can say is that the restaurant got a little noisy, likely due to the number of folks crammed in trying to get seats. Regardless, it didn't ruin the experience for us.

We will return.
