   We had a special family night out after my daughter sang in the youth choir with the symphony. Our waiter, James “ big OG” was superb and made the night memorable and fun. He really took care of us. I enjoyed my halibut. My wife had crabcake. That was very low on fillers. My daughter ordered a pasta carbonara dish that could’ve fed a small family. Grandma had that too. Needless to say, we’ll have a few more dinners at home with that one. We had raw oysters as well as the Andouille grillers, which are great. My older daughter ordered roast chicken. It was an entire half chicken. It was a great time. Will surely be back. Will definitely skip breakfast and lunch next time before coming. We are the dessert board that was off the charts. Thank you, James and urban grub you made my little Singer seem special

   As always, Urban Grub never disappoints. The food is excellent, along with the service. While it can be a bit loud, you can still carry on a conversation. This is a go-to for Sunday brunch. The seafood and charcuterie bar is fresh and tasty. The Thor Burger is always a good choice, and this time we tried the Matcha Pancakes, which were a great choice! The Pastrami Hash and the Veggie Strata were also great choices, and we all left full and happy!

   We were a party of 8 & got a round table which was great! Our server was so thoughtful (& hysterical). & the food was top notch. Loved it!

   I’m writing to express my frustration and disappointment with the experience my group had at Urban Grub during a recent dinner reservation at 7 PM for a 50th bday celebration weekend. We were a group of four, all former or current locals, all with backgrounds in the service industry, including the birthday guest of honor who has worked from Nashville to Beverly Hills. We came in with high expectations, not just because of your restaurant’s reputation, but because I vouched for it personally. I now regret doing that. Service started off mediocre, slow response times, repeated requests, and at one point we had to get up to grab our own salt and pepper. Not exactly the level of attentiveness you’d expect from an establishment positioning itself as upscale. But what really crossed the line was what happened at the end of the meal. We had split checks, and the birthday girl used some of her birthday cash to cover her portion. The rest of us had already discussed that we’d be taking care of the tip on her behalf, a thoughtful, celebratory gesture among friends. Before we even had the chance to do that, the server dropped her change with the pointed comment that she “hadn’t tipped enough.” It was rude, presumptive, and completely out of line. Aside from being flat-out wrong, it put a damper on what was supposed to be a joyful celebration. It was awkward and frankly humiliating and entirely avoidable with just a bit of basic emotional intelligence. For a city that prides itself on hospitality, experiences like this are exactly why Nashville continues to get a bad rap when it comes to service. If this is what passes for professionalism at Urban Grub, that’s a serious problem. The lack of awareness and grace shown by the staff that night is embarrassing , not just for the restaurant, but for those of us who chose to bring out-of-town guests and spend our money there. The team there needs a real conversation about training and standards. As it stands, it falls short.

   We had an amazing experience at Urban Grub! Eric was our server and he was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. The food and drinks were excellent. 10/10, Urban Grub is one of our fave restaurants in Nashville and we will be back!

   Food was incredible as well as the service . Had the best pork chop in my life. Great place for a family to eat as well. Drinks were dialed on. Highly recommend , will go back when I’m back in Nashville.

    An exquisite dining experience. Valet parking if needed, a warm greeting on arrival and cozy seating in a spacious dining area were appreciated. Our server was prompt and made excellent recommendations. The pace of the meal was perfect. The pork chop entree with an added side dish or two easily feeds two. The shrimp and grits was creamy and enjoyed by one of our party. Would recommend for a moderately priced upscale meal.
