The design of the restaurant features a rustic elegance, filled with custom woodwork, stone fireplaces and rounded booths tucked in intimate corners. Urban Grub offers both indoor and outdoor seating with a combination of the two in the beer garden, accompanied a view of the restaurant’s meat curing room, as well as a covered gazebo for larger parties.
From the inviting indoor-outdoor atmosphere to the elevated Southern cuisine of fresh seafood, house-made charcuterie, and prime dry-aged steaks, the experience is unforgettable.

The food is outstanding and the service is great!
Everything was fabulous.
Excellent service, Amazing food and you can’t beat the ambiance!
Urban Grub is our favorite place to take out of towers. Always a hit!!
Nice Saturday brunch with the hubby
Amazing good, amazing service. It’s too bad they permit smoking on the patio. We had to ask to move inside.
We treated my dad to a late Father’s Day brunch and he had a wonderful experience!
Eating outside caused a lot of flies to be around the food. Then this huge loud ridiculous fan had to blow over the entire table to prevent the flies from being around.
We arrived at our reservation and seated within minutes. There were 7 of us and we were treated like royalty. Food was delicious. I even tried things I normally wouldn't. I recommend everyone order something different and sample each. Mac-n-cheese, zucchini - YUM. The pork chop feeds two and we didn't know that or we would have had someone not order a meal. They even have semi-sparkling wine from Oregon. We will be back.
Excellent staff. Delicious food. Relaxing environment
We were seated in the bar area (even with a reservation), and the area was noisy, but manageable. Oysters were great, steak was OUTSTANDING, but the lobster entree and crab appetizers were underwhelming. Wouldn’t order those again. Overall, good/pretty good experience, just would be more mindful about what we ordered.
This place has really good food but it’s just too loud it’s like eating in a club
Food was excellent, and the staff went way above and beyond because we needed to modify our reservation by 30 minutes. They made it happen with aplomb.
The noise level was high.
Our 2nd dinner in 4 days. Shared the pork chop on both occasions. Best we've ever had. Had server Ryan twice....informed, engaging and a real pro.
Great food, great music, good ambiance.
Excellent service. Ribs were great. Dessert deconstructed strawberry shortcake was amazing!!
Our server was tremendous! She did such a great job! Urban Grub never disappoints! It’s always always wonderful! Thank you!
I read a lot of reviews that talk about service and wait times for tables and often ignore them - it’s about the food for me. However, this visit was a bad service and food experience.
Made reservations for 9, seated at 935, hostess changed our rez in Open Table to 930 to make it seem they didn’t sit us THAT late (got a notification they did it), waiter greeted us at our table at 945, drinks at the table 955. I know all these times because it really felt that long. I am sympathetic that service levels are tough at the moment due to the pandemic and staffing shortages, however, the taste of the $$$ food didn’t help.
I will say once our waiter did get to us, he did his very best and I don’t feel he’s to blame for the experience. However, 35 min to be seated at a nice, upscale restaurant is not acceptable to me. Cost me an additional $30 for my babysitter. People can laugh or say that’s petty, but it’s the truth. Hard earned night out and while we tried to make the most of it, it cost more than it was worth.
Ultimately, to spend $125+ on a meal for 2, I’d expect top notch flavor and service. Urban Grub was not able to deliver either of those things on the night we visited. It’s a shame too because the average review seemed high and well worth a try. Unfortunately, with so many dining options in Nashville (fine dining or otherwise), I cannot recommend Urban Grub to friends, family or colleagues and I would not plan to return.
Great atmosphere. Great food. Great time. Our server was great and attentive. The host sat us about 2-3 mins after we arrived. The food was really good and just enough. We had a great time.
We love this restaurant! It never disappoints. Great food, service, and atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back!
Excellent service from the moment we walked in the door. My parents were visiting from NC and I wanted to bring them to one of my favorite restaurants here in Nashville. We could not have asked for a better server than Bernadette. She exemplifies exceptional customer care and always checked on us. We did not have to ask for her or wonder where she was- because she gave us VIP service the entire time we were seated.
Wow - one of the best dining experiences in Nashville! Everything about this place is amazing. James was our server and was fantastic. The Andouille Sausage appetizer was fantastic, the steaks were some of the best we EVERY had and of course the bourbon selection and old fashioneds were over the top!
It was our Anniversary and we went out for brunch. It made our weekend! It was so great, I booked for next weekend while we were still there! Really high quality, delicious food and great service!
Wonderful ambience and service. The bread was delicious, but my meal was not as good as I would have liked.
Our waiter was terrible, messed up the order 3 times, waited forever to order and to get food
I took my family to Urban Grub for a celebratory brunch. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their food, and our server Kenny was knowledgeable and attentive. I couldn’t ask for a better brunch experience in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.
Hands down the best dining experience in the Middle TN area. Never fails to deliver the best meals and experience.
Urban grub is our favorite restaurant in the Nashville area. We ordered the Wagu steak with Roasted zucchini and crispy brussels. It was delicious! The bread basket is also very good. In the past we have had the wood fire oysters and charcuterie boards. This last visit we had a show to attend and did not have the ability to take leftovers home so we just ordered one course.
Seated in the bar section.
Love Urban Grub but hate to be seated in the inside bar area for dinner for special occasion.
Bar so fun for drinks but less than optimal for dinner.
The entire experience was amazing. We were in town for a weekend getaway and stumbled upon this gem when looking for something new to try. The food was some of the best we have had in Nashville.
Oysters were superb and ❤️ crab beignets- had a nice brunch with my girls!! Keny was our server and so great. Will go back again again again
Ezra , our server, was amazing!! We have frequent this restaurant for years and Urban Grub has been a consistent experience. LOVE!!!!!
Appetizers and drinks good. My Steak was undercooked...raw. Left the sides at the table. My husband ate dinner by himself. By the time steak came back sides cold. Blood juices on the plate. Didn’t rest enough looked unappetizing. Tasted good. Husband dish excessively salty couldn’t eat most of it. We will never go again. Didn’t comp any part of the meal. Spent over $200 on a very disappointing meal!!
Always a great meal. Food and service are excellent.
My experience was a bit mediocre this time around. Usually the food is up to par and service is excellent but I guess it was just a boring Tuesday. The food wasn’t as good as it used to be. The charcuterie was mostly fatty chewy pieces, like I would have had a better choice just buying my own charcuterie from Kroger. The sides have gone downhill as well. That poblano corn pudding is the worst! And those tandoori carrots were just sad chunks with greasy spices. Such a shame.
I ordered my usual shrimp and grits (with andouille sausage)and got served a tiny bowl of grits with 3 shrimp and 4 slivers of sausage. For $40??Wont be back.
Ambiance was lovely. Interesting combination of sides with main dishes. Presentation outstanding and all food choices cooked perfectly. We loved it!
