The design of the restaurant features a rustic elegance, filled with custom woodwork, stone fireplaces and rounded booths tucked in intimate corners. Urban Grub offers both indoor and outdoor seating with a combination of the two in the beer garden, accompanied a view of the restaurant’s meat curing room, as well as a covered gazebo for larger parties.
From the inviting indoor-outdoor atmosphere to the elevated Southern cuisine of fresh seafood, house-made charcuterie, and prime dry-aged steaks, the experience is unforgettable.

Overall fine, but we had to go to the general manager to make rhe meal right.
Server was just too much. He kept “offering new” aka correcting our menu choices (I’m pretty well versed in ordering after working in NYC restaurants my entire life). Food was good but overall wasn’t wowed
We had brunch at Urban Grub. Excellent brunch menu (regular menu also available). The shrimp and grits were fabulous. My wife had the lobster strata, which she really liked. We also had a few options from the charcuterie board (great cheese and meats are smoked in house, steaks are also dry-aged in house). They offered a seafood and brunch buffet, which looked great, but was a bit pricey at $47 (or around half that for a one-trip). If you like oysters, they have an extensive menu of just oysters. Overall, we enjoyed it very much. We would definitely go back.
Urban Grub is one of our favorites, but this last time, my husband’s ribs came out cold, one of our tables crab Benedict had little to no crab and my Pastrami Melt was just okay..... not giving up. Drinks are always good... maybe just an off day?
Food was great! Service was better! Will go again for sure.
Needed a restaurant that is gluten free for an in-town guest. It was a hit by all! Their gluten free popovers are delicious and they had made a raspberry and lemon jam to accompany. Super yummy! Their biscuits (not gluten free) are just as tasty. The double cut pork chops are HUGE and a great value for your money. Extensive wine list. Only negative is it's a noisy environment. Would love to take my parents, but know they wouldn't be able to converse with the noise level! Will take them early evening maybe when not so crowded?
Absolutely amazing! Ask for the life changing mashed potatoes (you won’t be sorry)
This place is a must! The food is amazing. Ask Garth for a wine recommendation. He is fantastic at picking a great wine for anyone.
Amazing from beginning to end. Thanks for a wonderful evening out with friends.
The friendly service and personalized welcome that Garth (the sommelier) gives is outstanding. The food is excellent and the wine & cocktail menu is extensive. With the customizable charcuterie boards and amazing complimentary bread basket (with bisquits and pop-overs), it's hard to save enough room for the entre.
The bacon wrapped trout and double cut pork chop are wonderful. I've only been twice and those are the two meals I've experienced. I will definitely try a steak the next time I'm in.
The ambience is trendy but warm. The music and overall room noise is a bit on the loud side, but not to the point that you can't carry on a conversation.
I highly recommend Urban Grub to locals and visitors alike...
We had a great time. We got sat right when we arrived even though we were 10 minutes early for our reservation and got a table right by the fire which was nice on a cold night. The food was fantastic the crab cake especially was awesome! The service was very good. The only slight mishap was our appetizers took awhile to come out but overall that was not a big deal. It was a great night and restaurant!
We've been goin for years. Great food, beverage and service, as always!
We were seated by a really great table by a fireplace. The blackened shrimp, grilled asparagus, cheese grits and rose’ champagne were all excellent as well as the service. The GM, Garth came to our table, introduced himself
and said to call him if we ever needed a table in the future. Maybe it was because my date, myself and he all graduated from Belmont University.
Negatives were that the menu was overwhelming for a first-timer and the service was just a little slow. We needed help navigating through all that they offer and the staff, however friendly, seemed hurried, which made it difficult to know what to order. The other issue was that the place was so loud that we could hardly have a conversation and it was difficult understanding the staff.
Positives were that the food was unique and tasty. Everything that we ordered tasted as if it was homemade and freshly prepared. They also offer many items that are on the healthy side. Their wine list is extensive.
Outstanding experience as usual. Great staff and service only exceeded by the food!
Service, ambiance, friendliness and set up all excellent!
We got the 45 day aged porterhouse.
I do like my steak rare, but something on this cook was just wrong. The fat was no rendered out, so a slice of meat might have a nice chewy completely uncooked piece of fat. not end of the world of course, it was still quite tasty. However, when you go to a premium restaurant, pay a premium price, i'd like a dish wish is cooked perfectly.
Always delivers a great meal. I especially like that I can eat clean and healthy from the menu, if I choose to do so.
I went here with my college-aged son. He’s never been to Urban Grub but our server never mentioned the buffet. Then I saw the table next to us returning with large platefuls of crab legs and so wished that I had gotten the buffet! Oh well- next time! Just don’t know why that wasn’t offered to us on the Sunday brunch. We will be back.
Everything was amazing!
Really great food and service. VERY knowledgeable staff. Nice surprises from the wine list. My only thought would be that the pricing is a bit high preventing more people from trying and loving this place.
This is the “hidden gem” of Nashville, I think it’s the most underrated eatery in town. Always great food, great service and the prices are very fair.
Fantastic food...... even better service!!!
We went for our 1st year of dating and made it back for our first year of marriage. We love Urban Grub!
NewYear’s Eve dinner- Fantastic in every way
The service killed our experience. We’ve been to Urban Grub numerous times and always enjoy ourselves but this time was terrible. We went for NYE and our waiter seemed like it was his first night there. He didn’t know the menu and couldn’t answer any questions about it. He would say he was going to ask someone and come back and try to take our order meanwhile our order depended on his answers. We finally gave up and just ordered. Food was alright but not as good as regular times we’ve been. Timing between courses was a joke. Appetizers came out immediately. Small wait for salads which they didn’t tell us they were out of when we ordered. Then next course was 1.5 hours after that. Drinks were beyond slow if he even remembered them. Very quick to take our payment but that was the only time we saw our waiter. I know NYE is an extremely busy night and I felt bad for him being overwhelmed but we paid over $250 for our meal and I expected more. We will never go back or recommend it for a special occasion. Stick to the bar area only even if on a regular night
For new years they ran out of a dish - which you had to purchase the set menu at $95. The service was slow and not transparent. Once they figured out they ran out of of the dish they did not tell us immediately- waited too long and could not come up with a better solution. The waitress never asked us how our meal was.
Time between courses was very long and portions were smaller than usual.
Great food and service on New Year’s Eve! Loved the special tasting menu! A little pricey for the portion size, but overall an excellent dining experience.
Best meal I’ve ever had
Staff was very nice and accommodating. Excellent dining experience. Food was wonderful. Will return.
took my wife here on New Years Eve and it will be our last visit. started out with a waiter that did not know the menu then followed by what i would call lesss than average food for $250. this is our 3rd try here and we have not enjoyed it. Nice location and thats about it.
We've always enjoyed dining at Urban Grub, but their New Year's Eve special menu was outstanding. A 4 course meal with so many creative and special choices. The attention to detail by servers and management was clear, including personal attention on our wine selection from a Manager.
Went there for New Year's Eve with my girlfriend. We loved everything about it. Great place!
My girlfriend and I went for our 3 Year Anniversary (which happens to be NYE) and we decided to try the New Years Eve four course special Urbangrub was offering. Now let me tell you, this was the most creative and delicious meal we’ve had and we have been to many trending restaurants in the Nashville area. I’m still dreaming of the Lacoured Duck entree!
The servers were exceptionally friendly and timely, as well as Garth helping us with the perfect wine pairings for our meal. I find it exciting that the menu is constantly changing, making each experience unique and just that more exciting. Well done, Urbangrub. You’ve made it to my #1.
Outstanding menu and the service was amazing. I was referred here from a friend.
Great place for a group! Very nice staff and good food
Had oysters, homemade sausage, steak, grilled veggies, and Brussels sprouts. It was all great!! Impressive wine list too. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend and will return.
Had not been for a while because of traffic. Went last night before Titans game. Absolutely our best experience at The Grub ever. West coast oysters were to die for. Wagu strip was PERFECT. Wifey's halibut was excellent. Staff was all over it. Going back to every other week visits again. Worth dealing with the 12th South traffic.
Another great brunch. This place is beyond solid, one of my fav Nashville brunch spots
