The design of the restaurant features a rustic elegance, filled with custom woodwork, stone fireplaces and rounded booths tucked in intimate corners. Urban Grub offers both indoor and outdoor seating with a combination of the two in the beer garden, accompanied a view of the restaurant’s meat curing room, as well as a covered gazebo for larger parties.
From the inviting indoor-outdoor atmosphere to the elevated Southern cuisine of fresh seafood, house-made charcuterie, and prime dry-aged steaks, the experience is unforgettable.

The appetizers and dessert was very good, the main course was not great. The server seemed a little drunk and was very sweaty and the coserver smelled too much of smoke. I was not as impressed as I had been with this restaurant in the past...
First time dining and overall a very good experience. Food was very good and they have a nice selection of craft beers. Only negative was our food was slow to arrive.
Expectations were high and $36 ribeye was just alright. Had a glass of house white wine, cost $15.50. Glad we went, it is a nice place with a lot to offer, just not for us.
Must add that service experience was top rated
Fabulous food with a southern flare for those visiting the Nashville area. The service was exceptional, hip contemporary vibe with great indoor and outdoor seating options. Highly recommend Urban Grub, and personally looking forward to going back and trying other items we were too full to try!
Edward was assigned to our table however he was not able to handle due to a couple of large parties he was also assigned to. We alerted Steven who was assisting with drinks jumped into action. He took on the responsibility quickly and without hesitation. He was a true pleasure to be served by and we will visit again and again because of his excellent service! Thank you Steven!
Food was great as usual although the music was very loud this visit making it difficult to have a conversation.
Great menu selection. Excellent flavorful food. Highly recomend
All very good food great temperatures on meat. The gluten-free popovers were delicious for a non gluten-free eater. There was six in our party and everyone enjoyed their meal!
If visiting Nashville again I will be back for more!
Pros - Beautiful restaurant. Great items on the menu.
Cons - They were out of multiple items we attempted to order. Our server took about 15 minutes to come to our table although he was standing at the table beside us clearing it off. We watched people seated before us get faster service. The prices on the website are not the actual prices on the menu and they do not honor what their site says.
Delicious! And awesome service! A bit pricey, but worth it.
Best meal I’ve ever had. Hands down. I had the seared scallops, my boyfriend got the fillet, and mom got the shrimp and grits. We shared the vegetable plate and collards, Mac and cheese, and mash potatoes. Not one bad item. Also, the oysters were amazing. Literally the most amazing birthday meal!
My husband + I are working in Nashville and decided to treat ourselves to brunch on Sunday and we had a wonderful time. From start to finish. Steve our server was superb. Great experience. Thank you!
Overall enjoyed. We had the charcuterie and seafood buffet at brunch. It seemed a bit pricey at 47 per person but was tasty. Enjoyed mocktails as well.
Best serve staff in town.
I would say too loud, not energetic.
Great place- food, service, management and overall culinary experience, but the noise level was plain intolerable. We were all shouting to be heard.
The restaurant does not seat you until your entire party has arrived. It was very loud. I felt that the teenage/early 20s hostess were dressed very unprofessional and there was 6 of them so it looked like a hang out at the podium. Our service was slow. I ordered the ribs they we're so rough to pull apart I have to use my knife to split them and to take the meat off ( I did complain and they did comp my check). My friend got the ham sandwich item and it was a bunch of like lunch meat on a bun. Another friend ordered pork fried which looked really good and Mac and cheese which she never received (was on their bill but was removed after they told the waitor) another friend got the chicken it was very big and he said it was really good. He asked for it to be boxed up. They threw it out. The fifth friend got a steak- it was the only meal with no complaints. We we're never greeted by a manager or owner.
Food is great, first rate servers, they designed the place to be sectioned off which makes it a little quieter. I highly recommend this place.
Tried the seafood brunch bar - AMAZING!! Definitely a must try
Delicious as usual!
Food was excellent. Service outstanding. Great wine selection (Turley Old Vines Zinfandel paired well with my steak). Black Raspberry dishes were superb
Very good food and service for wife’s birthday
This place is fantastic. I had heard great things about it prior to visiting Nashville and it did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. Steaks were phenomenal. Highly recommend this .
Urban Grub is in vibrant 12th S and hopping with hipsters :-) I took my wife for a date night and we very much enjoyed the menu and the food. I will say, though, that it's one of the noisiest restaurants I've ever been to. We really couldn't talk much, just look at each other and smile. Because of that, we probably will not return. Everything else was perfect, but whoever designed this space missed the mark with terrible acoustics.
Since there were 5 of us and we didn’t request special seating, we were in an alcove away from the vibe of the restaurant. However, since it’s been awhile since we’ve seen these friends, it was quieter and more intimate. As always, the service was impeccable, the food was great - appetizers of mussels and shrimp. Entrees varied from steaks to fish to veggies - the sides were enjoyed as were the popovers. No dessert this time - no room!
The food was Excellent, our waiter (Victor) was at the top of his game. Excellent.
The whole team was great. Will be back.
Called to let them know our party was going to be 10 minutes late and the hostess was really rude. She said they would "do their best to hold our table." When I asked her if that meant we wouldn't be guaranteed a table, she said, "well, you said you were going to be late." When I asked to speak to her manager she said, "it would be inconvenient for him to come to the phone." Food was mediocre and the customer service from the hostess really started our experience off on the wrong foot.
The meal was excellent! Service was somewhat lack luster which is unusual for this restaurant.
Absolutely amazing. Everything we ordered was delicious. The chef has a wonderful selection.
Would have liked heads up on seating out on the patio, considering I made reservations. Bugs and rain drops part of the ambience. SMH
The place is always great. The banana pudding is the best in town
Nice restaurant. Great seafood. The Lobster BLT Flatbread is amazing. Amazing wine/cocklist.
We were in Nashville for a girl’s weekend and had a fantastic dinner at Urban Grub. We sat outside and enjoyed a warm Nashville night that was made perfect by the eclectic atmosphere, attentive service, and variety of delicious menu options. Some of our favorites were the andouille sausage, roasted edamame, and shrimp and grits.
One of the best meals I've had since moving to Nashville. Excellent meal. Excellent service.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Urban Grub! This year my birthday fell on a Monday which UG is not open on this day so we decided to try somewhere new! Bad idea... The new restaurant did not meet our expectations and we got sick! So as a redo, we came here Saturday night! YUMMY! The food is always amazing and service is wonderful too. We ordered a couple of meat and cheeses to start, then split the double pork chop and wedge salad, had dessert (we were still celebrating my birthday) and STILL took food home! IF it's your first time going to Urban Grub, hands down recommend the double pork chop! You will only be disappointed when it comes out to other tables and not yours (if you don't order it). All the other food is amazing too, the pork chop just happens to be our fav and it's shareable too! Loved the birthday redo dinner!
We heard of Urban Grub, through some friends and wanted to try it out. My wife's birthday was coming up and she wanted to try it out. It was a superb meal, from appetizer to main course. The Pork Fries, which came recommended by the waiter, were fantastic. I have the wood grill pork chop, which was the biggest chop I have ever had. Perfectly cooked and juicy. My wife had the scallops and my daughter had the short rib enchiladas. Both loved the entrees.
Amazing as always. The bacon wrapped trout was delicious, service was outstanding and it was an enjoyable evening.
We loved the eclectic menu then saw the seafood and meat bar and settled on that. Absolutely delicious and inventive array of foods. Big $$ but worth it.
Our greeter, waiter, all round guy, Oscar, was the best! Never let us want for anything but not overpowering!
Worth the drive for both of us! Almost 2 hrs each.
The food and ambiance was amazing! We will definitely go back!
We had a great time, the girl that seated us put us where we wanted to be, the server was great, food was great..we had a wonderful time celebrating my daughter’s 20th birthday!!
Oh and our favorite bartender, Steph, made us some great drinks !!!
Consistent ,quality , my clients enjoyed everything.
