It was extra dark, food portions for the price was not balanced. Cheese was thin and only offered 1 type of dipping bread. Chocolate was Luke warm
One waitress for restaurant. Service very slow. Had to ask for refills on drinks.
Always wanted to see since I’m a fan of The Melting Pot. Had family in from out of town
The food is always fabulous, as are the friendly and swift serving staff. Unfortunately, the atmosphere has fallen into disarray. Spotted, torn and uncomfortable cushions. Love this restaurant but won’t be back till things are tidied up.
Great place to take some kids who want a non-classic fondue experience.
Don't expect true fondue (Emmentaler, Gruyere, white wine, kirsch, etc). These fondues are made with cheeses that aren't typical to the culture; however, the chedder is somewhat close to traditional.
Go for happy hour and your bill will be significantly lower.
Of course, the chocolate fondue is amazing. The assortment of dipping foods for this is bountiful (puff pastry, donut, fruit)
Draft beer was delicious, but my wife's martini was average.
Service was incredible and attentive. This made it all worthwhile.
They really need to update the place. The booth had burn holes. It needs to be cleaned updated. Next door at Bartini’s they have redid and it’s amazing clean!!!
Our waitress was wonderful and very friendly and attentive. Food came very quickly and service was great! Was there on a date and happened to get the booth in the front corner by the window. Very comfortable and that particular spot blocked most of the noise of the restaurant so we could talk easily and hear each other well. Prices are great for the amount of food you get, but I'll definitely remember to ask for extra strawberries with the dessert fondue next time. Overall a perfect experience, we'll definitely be back!
The food here was wonderful. The service left a bit to be desired. It seemed there was only one server for the entire restaurant with food expediters helping. The booths are terribly uncomfortable and broken down. With that being said, we plan to go back because of the quality of food.
Great New Year's Eve menu and experience. Great food, staff and ambiance.
This is our favorite go-to for fun, special occasion family nights out. The cushy enclosed booths keep kids contained and noise down and the food is excellent and a lot of fun.
Great place, cozy and comfortable! Our waiter was great, very knowledgeable, friendly and funny!! We will most definitely go back!!!!
This is our family’s favorite place to celebrate Christmas. Food was good, but service wasn’t QUITE what it usually is.
We had an early Christmas celebration with 8 of us...this dinner was fantastic!!!! Our server did a wonderful job and I am celiac ,so GF, and she was so very careful and thoughtful!! When the kids needed a refill she was right there. The food was FANTASTIC. I highly recommend the Lobster and Shrimp and Steak...YUMMY. Our chocolate fondue was out of this world...we had Salted Carmel Cognac...I don't have words for how good this was. I have nothing bad to say...we all had a dinner we will talk about for a long time. Our reservation was for 4:30 for 8...berry...so please thank our server!! She was the BEST!!!!!!
Had a wonderful dinner at Urban Fondue! Great service, delicious food! What more could you ask for!
Can you say decadent? We went with the basic 3 course fondue. First course cheese: Truffle OMG was delicious, Second course: Meat and veggies...overall pretty good, but I felt the broth was not simmering enough to cook quickly. We had timers and each item took over 3 minutes. Third course: dessert...chose Tiramisu chocolate. It was heavenly. I was so full! Will be back to try others!!!!
It was the first time we had been there. The dinner was great and the service was good.
We will be going back again.
I love it here. One downside there were a lot of kids there that night. Not a problem for most, but one group of kids where dressed like they just came from soccer practice. Wearing sweatpants & lazy shorts. Not ok.
Loved the monthly special cheese fondue of roasted garlic. Should be made a permanent addition to the menu.
Always a fun experience (:
Quantity of food compared to price too less.
More light on each table. I saw literally on each table every one using smart phone to read menus items. Ordering food from menu was little confusing also.
Deserts not much options for vegetarians.
The place and service are nice.
But, the food was terrible, not fresh at all. I had a stomach upset after eating the food/seafood.
My goodness, where do I begin. Husband and I went for Thanksgiving intimate dining. Cozy intimate seating, well paired sides, broths, protein and veggies. Cooking time varied based on your liking. Portions for two will feed four. Professional service staff, who kept our drinks, water, and table well maintained. Early arrival and seating. On time appetizers, entree and dessert. The fondue was a creamy flavorful explosion of yummyness, the proteins were juicy tasty and the desert was hearshylicious! Best thanksgiving dinner ever! No stomach upsets here, because we cooked our seafood and steak properly. Know your timing temperatures!
Really fun night!
I had a reservation and didn’t get seated till 30 minutes after and it took 45 minutes just to pay the bill. Do not recommend for parties larger than 2
Had a wonderful time with my family, celebrating my son's birthday. Urban Fondue never disappoints! Great service, fun atmosphere, fantastic food and lots of laughs together. Thanks for the memories. We'll be back.
I have been to Urban Fondue several times and as usual it was fabulous. My 4 girlfriends and I ordered the Ruby Port, the Black Truffle, and the Caprese cheese fondues and they were absolutely amazing. We also got a side of the cauliflower and dipped it in the cheeses as well which was just as delicious as the bread. The cocktails were very good as well! I highly recommend Urban Fondue for all your melty, cheesy desires!
Great place! Food was delicious and the service was great!! Will definitely be returning
I rarely write reviews but this was a wow experience. We had an amazing time. In my opinion this place is much better than the melting pot and a better value. The service was top notch. One of us has a gluten allergy and our server went above and beyond to check that each and every dish we selected didn’t continue any gluten. The atmosphere is intimate and beautiful. Am looking forward to returning
We did Urban Fondue for a birthday and it was great. Only comment would be is to park and walk. There was very little parking near and it was a Wednesday night.
Urban Fondue is a very nice alternative choice for fondue. We were seated right away and the staff were knowledgeable and helpful with pairings. The food was very good and plenty of it. The venue is a bit dated and parking is rough at dinner hour in this neighborhood. I would recommend giving them a try.
5star all around. Highly recommend. Worth the amount of money I paid. Thanks
I had a wonderful experience here!! It was date-night and we had the fondue experience option on the menu! It’s amazing!!
The only thing I would say it was lacking in was service aspect.
I was never asked/offered a refill on my drink or water’s, we were not really ever checked in on which was a problem because our candle for heating cheese fondue wouldn’t stay lit. The wick was too short, and we couldn’t tell anyone because they never checked in.
The food was delicious despite our candle issue and cheese getting cool/cold fast.
I had trouble hearing a lot of what our server said when she was describing things, she had seemed to be almost whispering as to not disturb others but with the music and other people talking I couldn’t hear her.
I was a little surprised at how casual/dressed down some people were, the place looks and is set quite nicely.
I absolutely love urban fondue. My husband and I love coming here for date night!
We had an enjoyable evening at Urban Fondue. The people working there served us in a welcoming and gracious manner. We enjoy the atmosphere, good food, choice of cocktails and dessert.
Made a 10 PM reservation for Friday night on open table. The restaurant closes at 11. We arrived on time. When we sat down for our meal the server said fondue only. We asked why the full menu wasn't available now (there is no mention of this on their site) and the server told us that they stopped serving entrees an hour ago, so 9 PM when the restaurant closes at 11, because their entrees took 2 hours to prepare. For starters, why are you still taking dinner reservations if you're not offering dinner? Second, I have never been to a restaurant, or worked at one, where entrees take TWO HOURS to make it to the table. And lastly, a tip, if you're going to lie to get customers out the door quickly, at least come up with a believable lie. We will not be returning.
They haven't even bothered to respond.
Was very pleased with the monthly special (cheddar porter mix). Then went to my old stand by of white cheddar. My friends got the chocolate heath bar dessert fondue and it was spectacular. They ventured beyond what they like & tried something new. Only downside was parking. Parked 5 blocks away & it wasn’t well lit. Kinda nervous to get to my car alone.
Great fondue and a great meal overall. Place has a retro vibe/decor, and use sterno rather than having a burner on the table.
We had 2 cheese fondue's- white cheddar and caraway seed, and a beer cheese that was served with a pretzel. We also had a side of sausage too. Both great, but we all preferred the white cheddar. The sharpness was perfect with the bread.
We got a 3 different meats for meals, my favorite was the steak and lobster. Both were perfect.
For dessert we had the chocolate and peanut butter. Really tasted like a liquid Reeses Peanut Butter Cup. My daughter and I loved it. (My wife wanted the classic pure chocolate which I'm sure is great too.)
Great place. If you are a fondue lover give them a try!
Always good food and good service , would highly recommend them!
The fondue experience was interesting but the quality of the items to fondue was marginal. Table space for everything quite crowded. i wouldn't choose to go back. Disappointing, especially for the price.
Our sever seemed really bummed out to be there. Kinda bummed us out too. Took way too long to get one drink. My martini had old olives in it. Tasted off. We ordered one appetizer that was just ok (the bread seemed a bit on the old side) then we decided to leave for somewhere else. Would never go there again.
It’s my daughter’s birthday and this was her dining choice and our 3rd visit. It’s absolutely extraordinary.
