My only wish is that they would add more sides to dip.
We often eat here and there is never enough staff. You wait way to long for service and then our waitress seemed like she did not want to be there at all that day. She was very rude. We asked for the March restaurant menu and she replied “ really?” Very bad skills. Food was fantastic as usual.
Service was amazing only slightly topped by the food and cocktails.
Always a great experience!!! Very comfortable atmosphere
Happy hour here is totally worth it. We got cheese fondue with a side, two entrees, a dessert to fondue and 6 drinks for under $70 with tip included. Such value! Also the staff is amazing. Seriously. So helpful!
Waitress didn't listen to our order came out wrong, plus refills took awhile and then she was surprised no one to our check so she had to run it. We come all the time so was kind of put off that she didn't listen and even wrote it down right but didn't order it right. Manager called and made this right. Very impressed to personally call.
Such a wonderful experience and every bite was delicious. I ate so much i was going to explode.
While the experience of Urban Fondue is fun it felt incredibly cheap for what you pay.
Food was out of the world......parking was a bit of a drag but work the walk!
The cheese fondue was delish, but the broth one was eh, took a longer than normal time to cook the meat like it wasn’t super hot. The chocolate was delish too
My fiance and I love this place. We went after our engagement and they gave us complimentary Champagne! Excellent service, wonderful food--highly recommend. Better than the Melting pot!
My daughter went to a pre-dance dinner with a group of friends this winter and enjoyed the experience and the pricing, so I brought her here for her birthday. Having had fondue in the past (not at Urban Fondue), I wasn't thrilled with the food quality here. But staff were very friendly and accommodating. The ambiance was fine, but I guess I expected a bit nicer given the pricing. Also, we were seated in a booth and we all felt like we needed booster seats to be at the right height to the table. I'm 5'7', my husband is 6 ft and my daughter is 5' 4', so it's not as if we are shorter than average. Overall, it was pleasant but I probably won't return unless one of my kids wants to try it again.
We went here for my husband’s birthday. The food and experience was great and our server Ashley was super helpful and made great recommendations. The cooking broths were super flavorful and you get SO MANY sauces! This place is far superior to The Melting Pot.
Excellent! Great service, quality and value!
Ambuigity over March dining month price and menu... vs the regular set menu price. Others in restaurant got a side that we were told wasn’t on the menu for us... which is a small thing but it matters at $33 per person. I was underwhelmed in all as the lobster was so tough I couldn’t cut it let alone eat it and steak wasn’t much better. Cheese fondue to start was yummy but I would have preferred to dip veggies rather than pounds of heavy cubed bread. Dessert looked like something a 4 year old would make, piles of bits of cake, fruit and cookie dough scattered in a heap on a plate ready for dipping in chocolate. I love dessert but it looked so unappetizing. I don’t think we will be rushing back! Service was absolutely excellent.
We had a great evening celebrating our daughters Birthday at Urban fondu. The food was amazing, our table was private with a view of the outdoors. We had fun choosong between different cheese fondu and dessert fondu's to try. Overall it was a great experience and would do it again!
We had a fantastic dinner at Urban Fondue. It was Portland Dining Month, but we arrived during their Happy Hour time so our two meals were slightly less for the same food options. We loved our Ruby Port wine and cheese fondue, our meat selections of East Meets West and the Steak and Lobster entrees, and the chocolate with cream fondue. All breads, vegetables, broths, sauces, and dessert dipping pieces were delicious. Our waiter was Rene who was so friendly, helpful, and knowledgable with assistance from other staff members. We would definitely return. Make sure to book reservations in advance.
The waiter and food were both great. My only issues are...#1 there was old food stuck to the side of the booth. #2 we did not get happy hour prices on our drinks which came from bartini. I asked the waiter and he said the bartini happy hour is different HOWEVER the website says it is 4-630 and we had a 4pm reservation so we were at happy hour for both urban fondue and bartini. I feel like I got ripped off.
Amazing food and service. The fondue is absolutely delicious and we cleaned all of our plates. We ordered the truffle fondue and white cheddar fondue with all of the sides. We’ve been here once before and we look forward to our next visit. We tell everyone how awesome Urban Fondue is!
The food was amazing and the waitress was very helpful. We went with our parents for my husbands birthday and we will go back.
Food isn't good. Drinks taste good but have no alcohol.
Went to celebrate my husband's and son's birthdays. The food, the service and the whole evening were AMAZING!!! Thanks for making our night so special and an extra shout out to Danny for the extra attention and perfect booth.
It looks like they got a new manager and he has made some amazing changes that people who have been going there for years can say we’re definitely needed. For exam
It was our first time trying fondue. Such a great experience. Our wait staff was very knowledgeable & friendly. We tried the Fondue Experience. We visited the weekend after Valentine's. We had a reservation & was seated immediately. The couple before us was turned away & told that they were booked full for the next few days. However about 40 min after being there a lot of tables were open and available. We arrived at 8:30pm and left at 10pm, they didn't close until 11pm. Maybe they were short staffed & by not filling the tables allowed our waitress to give us the best service possible?!? We definitely will return again.
Valentine's prix fixe was one of the strangest dining experiences I've had in a while. Service was just really off, but the food was delicious.
Early Valentines! Great place
Food was amazing a delicious. Though our first waitress never asked if we wanted drinks and didn't come back for a really long time to take our orders.
Super romantic! We celebrated a really nice evening out. Do the whole thing. It’s well worth it!
The fondue didn’t taste like cheese but more like a creamy sauce. Nothing to do with gruyere cheese. The pastry with the chocolate fondue was old and dry. A bummer as it was my wife’s birthday.
The food was really good and the service was really good the only complaint I have is that I was celebrating my birthday and they didn’t do anything special to help me celebrate.
Love urban fondue, great dining experience for the value. Excellent spot for a date. My girlfriend and I always go here for our anniversary. It’s worth it to make a reservation to get a booth over a table for sure.
Easily best fondue in Portland. Great for special occasions.
Just the best and nothing like it!
We shared this experience with our daughter and her hubby and our grandsons. It was a super fun evening out. We chose a 3 cheese fondues, two sides, the urban broth pot for two and a dessert fondue. It was plenty of food for all six of us. And our youngest eight year old grandson absolutely loved the experience. It was a great family get together.
Awesome! We love urban fondue
We’ve gone for my birthday for YEARS and have noticed their portion sizes getting smaller and smaller but the price does not reflect this... it’s always fun but having happy hour size plates when you’re paying full experience prices is lame. The stuff was a little all over the place and we barely saw our waitress. It was a pretty disappointing experience from some that had been going for YEARS. Next year will be planned elsewhere 🤷🏻♀️
The service was amazing food tasted great and it’s a great place to have a date
Amazing as always!!!!
Food was delicious. All kids ate well and our birthday boy loved it.
Only obstacle was they seated the 5 of us at a small table, we had made reservations so we were expecting a bigger table.
Will definitely come back if we're back in Portland.
The GF bread was delicious.
Came as a family of four, our server Savannah was wonderful, very nice and attentive. Food was plenty and delicious. Cocktails are awesome here!
