The upstairs bar was nice and lively, with friendly bar staff and manager who really made you feel welcome. Although there were not many other diners, the service was great, as was the food, with good portion size for the tapas. Staff were really friendly with good music on a Friday night.

Biggest surprise was that the reataurant completely changed their menu between the time of booking and my meal (about 5 days) from Indonesian/Malaysian to Spanish tapas. So a bit surprised! But food was well cooked and generous portions. Cocktails were tasty. The downstairs restaurant is basically a dance floor with some tables on it so not particularly cosy or refined. Probably best for groups of people intent on getting drunk. I'm not sure if they clear away the tables later to open the dance floor, we didn't stay after our meal. There was a dj playing music that was a bit too loud for ambience. Not the Motown hinted on the website but rather clubby r'n'b which is a little odd for a restaurant setting. We had at least 4 staff checking on us very regularly which shows good intention but feels a little intrusive. Could be ok for a group after work looking to let their hair down on a Friday but not for anyone looking for ambience, refinement, or something more laid back.
