Tundra is our 'go-to' restaurant when we are attending a concert or performance in the area because they have a pri fixe menu and are very conscious of your time limitations. The food is fresh, interesting
I was very disappointed in the brunch that we had. Everything we selected from the buffet was cold and had to be sent back to be re-heated. There was very little selection, no desserts at all. The vegetable omelette I had to order specially was barely lukewarm and had frozen peas in it. I would recommend if anyone decides to visit this restaurant for breakfast, they order off the menu and hope it arrives heated through properly.
Wonderful and prompt service over the lunch period.
The charcuterie plate is definitely not worth 25$, nor is it inventive or have any flavor.
We had a lovely dinner at Tundra. We were celebrating our anniversary and were offered complimentary champagne and dessert, which was a very nice gesture. The food was yummy, when staying at the Hilton again we will definitely be back.
Extremely depressing enviornment - no one greeted us for a good 5 minutes, told us to sit anywhere and then didn't bother to crack a smile or bother to be welcoming in any way.
We were very hungry so we stayed, had the sub-par food and weren’t impressed. Not only that, but the waiter actually told us not to order an appetizer because “its too much food for you, you don’t need that much” with a great amount of judgement. Really really dissappointing - in the heart of downtown and in Hilton? Never come here - and Im not being dramatic, it was awful. 1 star at best.
Our female server was excellent who give us very good service and very attentive
The food was good and nicely presented. I was there with a friend I hadn't seen for a year and we were looking forward to chatting. Unfortunately, there was construction going on in the entrance of the restaurant and the noise levels were deafening. Hopeless to try and carry on a conversation. The Manager was apologetic and although the construction was certainly not her fault, it did ruin the ambiance of the meal.
Watermelon salad, campfire marshmellow ice cream, and lavender and wildberry sorbet were absolutely delicious. The "petite tender" was flank steak but it was tendet enough and tasty. I also loved the green beans side. The only thing was that the "petite tender" was flank steak, a tough cut of meat. Superb service.
Overall it's very good. Better enrich the veggie main course for the summerlicious. I like the starter and the dessert - especially the ice cream dessert - it's very eye catching.
The food was outstanding as was the service. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely return!
Had a good summerlicious experience but there were bugs flying around the table. Overall the food was very worth but the hygiene made us uncomfortable
The service was slow although it was not busy. Food was okay and dessert was okay. Out table was at a nice spot but with mosquitoes was quite irritating. Drinks were expensive even local ones.
We went to Tundra for lunch and ordered from the Summerlicious menu. I ordered the wedge salad, Rainbow trout, and hand spun ice cream/ sorbet for dessert. I enjoyed all of it, especially the main. The fish was cooked perfectly - flakey with crispy skin and beautifully presented. I liked the quiet atmosphere and large room with tables are nicely spaced apart . Yes, I would come here again.
Went here for Summerlicious and the 3-set price fix deal going on. Had the salad, which was large and good as an appetizer. The trout was super tasty and delicious and the side with it was yummy. Plus rhubarb desert was filling and good. Overall, large portions and it was definitely worth the money.
We went to lunch for Summerlicious and this may have been why the service staff was lackluster and the dining room practically empty. The food presentation was very good for the first two course, dessert was just what was to be expected. The dessert had no taste, we told the waiter who said he would let the chef know. The watermelon salad had exactly 4 tiny pieces of actual melon on it. The first course was good, my friends burger was lackluster and dry and he didn't touch the fries as they were refried and tasted like it.
Menu was changed from what is shown on Open Table. Only sandwich type items available.
Great breakfast and fantastic staff. Very serene atmosphere.
bread is cold and hard , the median rare steak is close to 6/10
Our server was awesome. Food was delivered to the table in a timely manner. Drinks were tasty.
We waited about 15 minutes at the table before being acknowledged. The waiter finally came over and simply asked what we wanted to order. No comment about the wait or the fact that I had to find someone else to get us some water. Other tables had carafes of water provided to them by the same waiter. We asked for bread and he brought us 2 tiny pieces while the table next to ours had a huge bread basket for the lone person sitting there.
The drinks were weak and the service was awful. I ordered a steak and was told that they did not have steak knives so I had to cut it with a blunt butter knife.
I spoke with the manager who tried to help but the dinner was a terrible experience overall.
Servers not very attentive- bigger party had all their attention.
Quinn was great with a party of 7
It is great, please don't change anything.
I really like that I can hear the people I am having lunch or dinner with.
Good meal with friends. Service was good and we were able to make our Ballet on time.
I have a dietary restriction, which the chef accommodated very successfully.
What can I say... this place never ceases to please..
Love this place always have dinner there when we go to the Four Seasons Centre
Limited choice prix fix menu with meat, fish and veg options at very a reasonable price. Our meat dish (pork) was excellent, flavorful, succulent and done just right. Our fish was delivered a little overdone, but was quickly replaced by our server when brought to his attention. Service was great, and we especially enjoyed the ginger collins cocktail and the great VQA Riesling with dinner. Overall a pleasant and exceptionally reasonable evening. Would definitely do it again!
Perfect for pre opera.
Both opera menu and regular menu have excellent options and value
Delicious food and excellent service. Perfect for pre-performance dinner, including special menu.
The food was delicious. Everyone was pleased with their meal choice.
Tundra never disappoints. We go regularly before the opera and enjoy the food as well as the convenient location. I had the pork chop which was The Best I've ever had and my husband had the cod.
Was quite disappointed with the service. This was Sunday buffet brunch for our anniversary and we had to ask 3 times to get coffee and dirty plates were never removed while we getting something else and so we had to stack our plates. Food was great but the service took away from it.
Food and service was great. especially food was exceptionally good.
Ambiance not so much, lacking modern touch but good for business meeting in calm and peaceful environment.
The service was great and the food is great despite it is not as good as the ones we had in the Winterlicious this year.
The food was ok. I guess having a Ruth Chris nearby makes this restaurant secondary. ;)
Our waiter did not seem interested. I had to prompt him to ask if we wanted drinks other than water and he didn’t give us an option for dessert. We decided not to bother asking and would find another spot to get something sweet. Overall it was okay but I can’t see myself going back in for anything other than hearing the fantastic piano player and sitting at the bar.
We were celebrating 2 former workmates who are retiring. So many restaurants have their music cranked way too loud which makes it difficult to have a conversation, tables are too close together and you feel like you are being hurried through your meal. This was definitely not the case at Tundra, we really enjoyed our luncheon & were able to enjoy each other!
The perfect spot for a business lunch. The service is fast and the food is high quality and delicious but not super expensive. There is ample space and it is well designed so for lunch it is perfect in that you can hear each other.
Wonderful service, odd trap music for the venue but the food was delicious and they comp’d our dessert because it was our anniversary! I would recommend for anyone looking for a quiet fancy meal downtown before a show.
