Our server was wonderful. However, the food took over 45 mins to come out. I wish I could’be given it a five star. If we didn’t have a great server who was very apologetic and nice then we would have ask to speak to a manager. Food was great except I think waiting took the energy out of us to really enjoy it.
Went here for a birthday brunch. The hostesses were great and very patient as we had a fluctuating number in our party. Food was amazing. Will definitely be back for dinner..
the food is great but you have to yell to your dinner companions!
We love Trust! The food is outstanding, the atmosphere is intimate and homey. We have had hit or miss service though. It usually starts out very responsive, but sometime after the second round of plates came, things started to slow down. Everyone is very polite and apologetic, but it makes the dining experience a bit longer than we thought it should be for a party of two.
The food was amazing, especially the Brussels!!!! The ambiance was nice and our server was great. Definitely going back
Wonderful experience. Highly recommend. Service was impeccable. I am most definitely going back soon. Thank you.
The food is fabulous. It’s all appetizer size portions so it’s fun to be able to get a lot of different things. The wood roasted Collie flower is one of the most amazing dishes on the menu
We have dined at trust many times and have also catered a dinner with them. We love the tasty food, the small portions which allow us to taste and share and the cool vibe of the place.
Atmosphere here is great but the foods were not worth of the price. The server was nice but he took my drink without asking me.
Most of the small plates we had were really good, if maybe a little heavy on the salt. The service was good until it got crowded and then was only OK. Biggest complaint is that we had to wait 45 minutes to get our lamb meatballs which is inexcusable. The protiferoles (sp) for dessert were great.
Best dinner we had in San Diego by far!
The kitchen and bar do not handle large crowds well. Very slow. Food good, though.
Excellent service, nice environment, good food but way too salty! I have a pastrami sandwich with potatoes and it seemed that they added more salt to it!
I’ll come back but will make sure to ask a low salt meal.
One of the best meals Ive had in San Diego! We got 4 dishes to share and they were all unique and delicious
❤'ed the feel of this place twas so comfortable and the food was delicious , I definitely would return to try more dishes. The beef balls were Amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. We loved the flat iron steak. Service was on time & i recommend go with chef suggestions.
Love this place! Food is amazing...highly recommend
It was amazing! Nate was our server he’s absolutely amazing so knowledgeable about the menu and guided us to the perfect first time dining at trust experience! Every plate was delicious! Sweetest service, wonderful food! Made our nite!
Nate was an amazing waiter, he made suggestions and they were delicious. The rabbit sausage was over the top good.
Enjoyed our dinner. A small plates place with excellent wine by the glass. One or two of our plates were not as good as others, but would definitely go back to re-taste some of the plates.
This is our favorite restaurant and we had another great experience lately. We had Nate as our server, and he once again outdid himself in making us feel at home and with excellent food, drink and dessert suggestions. We highly recommend Trust to all of our friends. The menu is great, the kitchen executes flawlessly, and the service is the best part of the experience.
Loved every dish we had- cauliflower is the perennial favorite, the scallops were lovely and the pork main dish was excellent. The 2 of us split all the courses. Highly recommended.
The four of us talked about the tasty food and drinks for days afterwards! We’ll be back!
It was pretty good to be honest. Such a good experience.
This was our first time there. I had put on the reservation birthday but no mention of it. We were put off because trying to find parking was frustrating and we ended up across the street in the paying parking lot. We were seated in a nice looking and clean looking restaurant at a table but the chairs were these wooden chairs that dig into the side of your butt and I was uncomfortable throughout the meal. The service was excellent. Everyone was attentive and helpful. Some of the food is too spicy for us but what stood out as outstanding was the Baby lettuce with blue cheese dressing, the wood fired cauliflower and the grilled octopus. We had the cheese plate but there were some weird things on there and even our person who was explaining it to us didn't know what one of the things was. We had the lamb meatballs and they were too spicy for us. Overall the food and service were good and the service excellent. By the time we left the restaurant was full and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. They probably should have asked if we were celebrating anything.
The service was excellent. The food wasn't to my taste.. They use too many ingredients in their dishes and was hard to taste the star of the dish. I personally prefer simpler and cleaner food with high quality ingredients.
I enjoyed my meal which was the fried chicken sandwich. It was really good. My wife had the smoked pork shoulder hash. Also delicious. Next time I wanna try their drink menu. It looks awesome.
Trust is my go to Brunch spot for Sunday’s. Excellent food, staff and energy.
Great food, great service great experience! All around great restaurant!
Very interesting menu. We had the Gem Lettuce salad which was unique and delicious. The Wood grilled cauliflower was our least favorite. The curry seasoning overwhelmed all the other flavors. Tired of it quickly. The Shrimp and Sausage was very good, just not super creative. Good for those who are not foodies..... this dish will please everyone. For those looking for something novel and AMAZING, we loved the Baja Hiramasa (amberjack dish). Memorable delicious. The service started out strong but there was a 50 minutes gap between the 2nd dish and the 3rd. We had theatre tickets and waiter made sure we had our bill and left on time. Enjoyed the profiteroles but wasn't memorable, just tasty and good. The wine by the glass Chardonnay was delicious. The old fashioned was excellent for those who love excellent craft cocktails. We live in North County but we would return and recommend this place to foodies. Very creative and flavorful.... right up there with dishes served in LA and Miami.
Outstanding, interesting dishes - great beet salad (and I don't like beet salads). Even the bus persons were extremely polite, courteous and looking out for customers - unusually well trained staff for a casual restaurant. Interesting tapas style portions - 3 items and desert were enough, making it a great value. Maple pecan creme brulee was outstanding. We'll be back!
noise level was a concern after 6:30 p/m/
food had a little too much pepper for my palate
We celebrated my mom’s birthday the other day and it was a great celebration. She enjoyed herself immensely, as did the rest of our party! The atmosphere as great, the food was great and the service was great as well. We will be returning!
I can’t say enough about the food and service. Absolutely fabulous evening!!
While the dishes were good, grilled octopus was the best, they were a little over priced for what you received. Service was good, drinks were reasonably priced. Other than that, I don’t think I’d be back as I don’t see the value reflected in the food. The steak tartare was chewy instead of melt in your mouth. At 18-22 dollars for a taste it should be on point (for example).
Good food, great service but very loud.
Interesting decor. Good menu of sharable plates. Very lively. Enjoyed our meal. Had it been warmer outside would have been great. Our table was ready on time.
It was fine but nothing special. We took a while to decide on our initial drinks and this seemed to set the tone for the evening with our server--he clearly wanted us to behave decisively. Sorry to have disappointed him.
My first time at Trust - the food was good just not great and the noise level was high. There wasn't anything compelling about the experience that would make me go back.
Food is incredible and we'll priced for what you get. We sat outside and even with heatlamps, it was still a little cold so dress warmly in the winter.
Our server was fine but clearly not knowledgeable about wine and should have asked for help from someone who does know wine.
Totally recommend going.
Phenomenal service, food portions are quite small but definitely overcompensate with the taste!
