Food was a bit busy. Too many sauces drowning the food. Ambiance was very cool.
we had one of the best meals we've ever had in San Diego. I highly recommend Trust!!!!
Sashimi was very good, but small. Portions are small. Octopus was dry outside and firm. Sausage was salty and dry. Service was good.
Have been there a few times...my wife and I are chefs and have been in the culinary industry for many years and this place hasn’t disappointed yet
Food was delicious. The wait staff was great and kept the drinks and food coming.
The service and food was excellent!
Very cozy and quaint ambiance. Service was outstanding. You order “small plates” that are meant to share. My husband and I started with
Ricotta Agnolotti 5/5, next we had steamed clams 4/5 and sashimi 4/5, Braised Oxtail Raviolini 3/5, Bacon Chop 2/5, and for dessert we enjoyed the banana pudding with ice cream 5/5. Overall great experience. Would definitely dine again.
So good! You’ll love it!
Fantastic service. Absolutely delish food. I can't wait to go back.
Great experience all around. Fantastic food and impeccable service. Trust delivers every time.
This was my second visit to Trust, with a different friend. Of the 4 dishes we ordered, the agnolotti was definitely the best -- so rich and earthy! The beets and carrots were tasty (if you like pickled beets, which I do), and the lamb meatballs were delicious. The chicken terrine was so-so...our waiter described it as a "gourmet chicken nugget", which was pretty accurate. Since we were stuffed, we did not have dessert. Our waiter was just the right amount of attentive, and the ambience as usual was relaxed and comfortable. I can't wait to visit again!
Food was amazing! We ordered shrimp & sausage, wood grilled cauliflower, lamb meatballs and oxtail ravioli. Each dish was delicious and different. Loved them all! Impeccable service and very attentive staff. We will be back soon!
Incredible food all the way through. Service from Anthony was top notch. Pricey but worth every penny. You get what you pay for and this place delivers.
Very unusual hip and trendy in a good way. Nice crowd and good service
We arrived for an early brunch, and everything was great.
outstanding on all fronts.
Groovy building, open, airy. Used to be a lot noisier - they seem to have put in some noise reduction. Food is outstanding and original. Just a fun, city vibe. Service was awesome - everyone from the bus staff to waitstaff.... excellent. :)
Good food. Pricey. Share plates so difficult for just one person. Would be nice if such restaurants offered half order fir those dining solo
My colleagues and I had a truly fine evening at Trust. Every dish was flavorful—the hush puppies, dumplings and octopus were truly amazing! To top that, our server was amazingly courteous and fun-he advised us to go down the menu in order to have a rich experience. He wasn’t wrong. I’ll be back in MAY when I return to San Diego!
Love this place everything you order is fresh, beautifully presented and delicious. The mixed drinks especially the El Diablo, we're so yummy. Went for my early birthday treat and was not disappointed. Well be back.
Continues to be one of San Diego's top restaurants. There are not many, but those we have in SD are solid. Trust, Jeune et Jolie, Market, and just about anything pan-asian in Kearny Mesa.
If you go - get the Cauliflower and any raw prep and sugo on the menu. Wine list is decent and cocktail program is very good.
Always a wonderful experience!! Can’t recommend this place enough!!
Cannot day enough good things about this place. My friend was bowled over from the first bite and everything g starts with the food which is outstanding.
That the service is friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere relaxed, just help to make this one of my favorites.
Good food. Interesting dishes from around the world.
Parking is a problem, unless you want to pay to park in the lot across the street.
Handicap access could be a challenge, though the traffic lights are responsive for pedestrians.
Great atmosphere and delicious food!
Outstanding food and service. Will definitely be visiting again!
We love good food and so can be very picky! Generally, we struggle with the amount of salt in American food...its a culture thing I think! However, our server at Trust listened to our concerns and acted accordingly...our food was not too salty...it was perfect! Another server had obviously been briefed as he talked about how the food had been prepared to meet our requirements. The service from all was superb. The food itself was creative, innovative, absolutely delicious, perfect for sharing and served in a good timely manner...good time between courses. The portion sizes were a good size, but not too huge either. Advice on wines competent, knowledgeable and accurate. The ambiance was good and relaxed. The staff were genuinely friendly and keen to make the dining experience good. We have visited San Diego a good number of times and this will be our number one place to go back to when we return again...looking forward to it already!
A great restaurant. I like sister Ft Oak better, but this place is more hip. Ready to go again. So much to taste.
Delicious food. Grilled cauliflower is to die for. Excellent service. I do wish the sticky buns were offered mire than on the weekends.
Girls night out and both of our first times visiting Trust Restaurant. We had a wonderful experience! The staff was friendly and welcoming, the dining room was comfortable and the food was outstanding! We ordered 4 dishes and shared them all: Smoked Carrots + Baby Beets, Shrimp + Sausage, Wood Grilled Pork Sausage and Braised Oxtail Raviolini. The flavors and sauces were fantastic! We were so impressed, we are already making plans to bring our spouses back.
Another great visit to Trust, twice in a week. Four dishes between two people were the perfect number and each was superb. Inventive and interesting dishes. Knowledgeable staff to assist with wine pairing.
Trust is one of San Diego’s best restaurants. It’s our go-to when we want to be wowed. I recommend it highly, along with server Eloise.
Selected based on a writeup in Food balanced, smokey cauliflower, burrata had nice contrast with rye crisp but was served with a hair in it. A busser noticed a long dark hair being pulled from a serving, asked if we wanted our dish replaced. We said we would make do, so she left. The Kuri squash was not a headliner and more of a frisee salad topped with 1/2" cubes of pear and squash. Zucchini dish was acidic and Harissa subdued. Avocado smothered Hamachi. Server claimed there were 2 large dumplings to an order, so we debated ordering two orders but eventually decided to split the two so all could taste. Surprise! Three awkward dumplings came, so one of us went without. The server shrugged her error off, and said the kitchen opted to make three smaller ones this time, which was too bad for the person who got left out! All in all, chef's balance was acid-forward with some flavors not coming through: szechwan sauce (dumplings), mint&chilies(meatballs) and everything was tasted fresh. The hairy burrata was left on the bill and at no time did management address it or the table. Don't trust the wrappings of a pricey, high-end restaurant because this one certainly didn't act like it.
Innovative dishes, good respect for local sourced foods, great wine pairing recommendations. So good we are going back almost immediately.
I love TRUST! The food is great, the service is wonderful and its two block from my house!
Just a great great experience. Service was really really good. Thank you for that
Food was creative and tasty. Our server knew the menu and answered our questions. It was a really nice experience.
We had a lovely brunch on the patio. Great cocktails and food. Would visit again if in the area.
