   Great spot on the mtn but the food was hit or miss. Bolognase, mushroom soup and steak were excellent. The panzanella salad only had 2 croutons ?! and the salmon on it was so rare it must have been frozen when they seared it. we had already sent back the octopus which came out completely burned the first time (we haven’t sent something back in many years to give you perspective) so I didn’t want to complain again. The second octopus was good but a pretty small serving for the price. The key lime pie was excellent . We would go back but would stick to the meat options.

   Heard great things about this place and was utterly disappointed. Save your money for Besame or Primrose!

   I try to love this place but it seems to fall short. We ordered the large truffle fries which are delicious and worth the money. My husband ordered the burger, it would have been nice if the waitress would have asked if he wanted another side besides the truffle fries being we just had a boat full of them. The burger is very good and tasty. The roasted beets were ok. I feel they should be cooked a little more. I’ve had better. The bolognese pasta Was good but not hot, it was like warm at best. The lamb shank was very tasty. We asked about a kids menu since we had a 1 year old with us, we ordered the chicken tenders and it came grilled, actually somewhat charred, with a mesquite charred taste. Not great. But we asked if yall had a side for him like green beans or carrots and the waitress said oh it comes with carrots and grapes. Ok great we thought. The carrots were raw. I mean really? It’s a kids menu item? Yall could do better. Another issue that I have is that your hostess are constantly fussing at customers for holding the door open. I mean when you have a group of people waking in, the door will be held open to allow the people in. That should not be the entrance if it’s such a big deal to enter through that door, which has to be open to enter! I’ve never seen anyone be able to walk thru glass! So figure out a new system. Don’t fuss at your customers for being polite and holding a door open while a line of customers enter and exit, makes no logical sense.

   We dine here every time we’re in Steamboat and it never disappoints. A++ cocktails, food and service.

   This is my favorite place in the village. Great location, atmosphere and food but the staff is top level!

   It took 40 minutes to get drinks and one hour to get appetizers. It was very crowded at the start but even when 1/3 of the tables were empty, it was very slow. The food was good, but for this high price the experience was not worth it.

   Mark, we are sorry to see this poor review. It is astonishing how egregiously fabricated your claim is, especially since we went over your miscalculation of timing in person at your table. you with us for a total of 2 hrs and 9 minutes. Not only did the print out of your servers interactions with you contradict your claim, but the surveillance camera directly above your table also contradicts your claims. We understand that guests can be impatient during the holidays, but your drinks were delivered quite expediently and your appetizers arrived exactly 9 minutes after they were rung in. We served over 600 people today and we are not aware of any circumstances of delays in service.    We were really looking forward to dining at the Truffle Pig. However, I must say it was just ok. When we walked in the door, it took about 7-8 minutes for the host to acknowledge I was standing in front of him and hadn’t been helped yet. Not the best first impression. Once seated for our reservation, we had excellent water service. Our waitress was friendly, but made little effort to make a recommendation when asked. My husband’s bucatini came out cold and had to be sent back. The duck was good, not great. My sons had the bolognese and really enjoyed it. The truffle fries and pork cheeks apps were delicious. Maybe the issue is we didn’t order steak, but we just weren’t impressed with the overall experience here.

While we agree that a better welcome was in order, our audio and video surveillance confirms that Veronica did provide service that contradicts your claims. She recommended the Fire on The Mountain or The Battle of the Agaves craft cocktails when you asked about Tequila. She also suggested Fortaleza which is one of our 150 tequila selections. She then recommended the Bucatini dish from our entrees as well as a specific wine to be paired with the Duck. She did apologize for the temp on the Bucatini as do we.    We were waiting for our food for more than 55 minutes on Saturday lunch. Restaurant was NOT full and waiter was nice enough to check on us but, he didn't tell us why our food is delayed or no further information..... We were very frustrated. We were in the middle of our skiing and we couldn't go back to mountain after our lunch break. And food was meh... Fish and chips were too oily and batter was half or fish... Very overpriced for that fish bites. I don't recommend this place at all.

    It’s a mandatory stop for our family for our annual trip to SB. Great food, atmosphere, and location. Was a little busy this night and the food was a little uncharacteristically delayed in coming out but it was a great opportunity to catch up as a family. TP can do no wrong in our book. Try the Coulotte Steak for a different cut of beef. It’s my new favorite.
