Great food. Restaurant was a little drafty and cold probably because we were seated near the door.
Really enjoyed. Cosmopolitan feel. Great service, never felt rushed. Very accommodating to special diets. Looking forward to trying the one in Plano.
Wonderful food along with great service!
Fantastic food! Great service! A great find!
Great fresh food.
The food and coffee are both excellent and service is prompt and friendly. However, the noise level is nearly intolerable. We wanted to sit outside to avoid the noise, but it was cold and rainy so we sat inside. I won't go again unless it's comfortable enough to sit outside. The noise level was an abomination.
We had a wonderful waitress. She gave helpful suggestions re: the menu, but then knew you leave us in peace for a very serious conversation between me and my best friend. Our waitress had a really high EQ. I appreciate that.
Everything was great!
Great place for vegan/gf sensitive people. I had a few things on the menu:
Spaghetti squash pizza with vegan ricotta.
And to finish it off the vegan/gf pie.
Great, modern and open atmosphere, nice downtown location and a fun, diverse and healthy menu make this a really good option for eating out in the downtown Austin area. Staff is always friendly, attentive and knowledgable, menu seems to focus on plant-based options (with some meat options and the option to add protein to just about any dish), and everything that I've had there has been delicious. This has become our go-to, easy spot for a sit-down lunch when downtown.
As usual the food & service was amazing
It was perfect as always. Loved our waiter! He was attentive and friendly.
Service was a little slow but it was New Year’s Day. Great food! Excellent service. Worth the wait.
Excellent menu and lovely waitperson. It’s a family friendly place so not the best for adult evening out.
Great server as always
Great food and healthy
Food and service was superb. Like the positive energy and vibe.
We brought out of town guests, plus some locals who were new to True Food. Everyone loved the food!
Always an assortment of healthy unique dining options
It’s was a great meal, I appreciated that everyone was super nice to us despite the fact that the restaurant had closed, we didn’t feel pressured to go. I alway come to true food kitchen for brunch... so I have to say dinner was also very pleasant
Chopped Salad is the best salad! I get it every time I go. Good cocktails and wine. Staff is always very courteous.
This restaurant consistently delivers, with the tastiest, creative and healthful selections. The service is provided by engaging and helpful staff. It is a bit on the noisy side and some of the items are pricey (esp the cocktails) but the overall experience is positive and never disappoints.
Great food and service!!
Loved all the dishes. Kale salad and edamame dumplings were wonderful!
The food was bland and overpriced compared to other restaurants that do this kind of food. Skip.
An altogether positive experience. Menu quite different and interesting. Not as expensive as I expected given the location and newness of the space. This app worked very well too. When we arrived my name was on their screen and the table ready.
Dinner is fantastic followed by the AMAZING SQUASH PIE!!!!
Dakota was an amazing server. He gets mad props.
The only thing on the menu for gluten and garlic free was fish tacos. I had a starter minus the garlic and had to ask 3 times for some olive oil so.it.would not be dry. The service was pushy and impersonal. The environment was a vast hard space, so.quite loud.until.people emptied out.
Our waitress was lovely and the food was excellent! Can’t wait to go back.
Outstanding service and food. Loved the experience.
Had an exceptionally fine waitperson. Our dishes were all unique, yet simple and oh so tasty. We were celebrating a birthday and were comped an enormous piece of pie which was shared and almost more than our party of three could eat. Great night in a lovely atmosphere.
True Food did not disappoint. The food was fresh and healthily prepared. We were a party of four and all enjoyed their meal immensely. Do not miss the Kale Guacamole!
I used OpenTable to make a reservation, but we weren't seated until an hour later. We were served complimentary drink and flatbread with beets and argula while waiting though.
Our go to spot! So good with a ton of yummy healthy options!
Anniversary with family in town/ funnighr
Good wholesome real food. Best dinner I had in Austin. Service was good, would not necessarily recommend the wine selections though. Our waiter recommended a Cabernet over the Malbec, and the Cab was not good, I didn’t even finish the glass. Hope the other choices are better.
We made reservations thru open table but were running 1/2 hour late due to unexpected traffic. We called and explained our situation and they graciously held our table even though the restaurant was packed and had a wait list. The service was beyond expectations and the food was amazing.
Love True Food Kitchen! Always excellent service and the food is most healthful and delicious! They have a most creative menu that changes often and never disappoints. The ambiance is laid back and fitting for any occasion or celebration.
