Disappointed in how quickly the specials were out given our reservation was at 7:30 on a Wednesday. Decor rather spartan in the back area where we were seated . Table itself was also very small and no tablecloth.
Treva never disappoints. With a well-curated menu full of delectable choices and consistently excellent service, it’s my favorite restaurant in the vibrant dining scene in West Hartford.
We have eaten here many times. The food is always excellent no matter what we order. Service is superb! Friendly, clean, fresh, well-prepared meals. Can't beat it!
Food was good, not great. One diner with us ordered the ravioli special and it came out cold. Prices were very high relative to portion size and overall preparation - so low value. Very loud, hard to hold conversations.
We had superb service, excellent food and drinks. Definitely has been put on our regular rotation for dining. We loved it!
We had a wonderful meal at Treva. Our server, Artie made some excellent recommendations, including a substitution of mushrooms for prosciutto on the flatbread, for the vegetarian at our table. He also recommended the Branzino that was delicious!
We are from Chicago, but hope to be back soon!
Birthday! Great service. Great food 🥘
Treva is our all time favorite restaurant. Everything I order from the fresh pasta to fish, especially the branzino is perfectly cooked and tasty. They also serve some of best bread and olive oil I have enjoyed even compared to NYC. The service is friendly and the ambiance has a great vibe. I look forward to my next visit.
Friendly accommodating waiter but service was ridiculously slow. Food was good but not outstanding
The lobster and scallops with risotto special was, hands-down, one of the best meals I've ever had. Service was also impeccable.
Well done. Excellent staff. Excellent chef. (Visited table to make sure all was well)
Our server Ari did an excellent job. We both had pasta dishes which were very good.
Awesome date night experience
Everything I ordered here was great! Homemade pasta was delish. Would definitely return.
The food was yummy
First indoor seats were provided to us but requested for seating outdoor patio. Staff changed our seat right away. Service was great. He explained the difference among cheeses and salami. Had great time.
Treva serves consistently great food every time we dine there with friends. The atmosphere is vibrant and this tends to be a place we go to with a group and everyone finds plenty to enjoy. The ribollita soup is delicious in winter or summer and their homemade pastas are always good. For dessert, we had the seasonal peach and blueberry cobbler with gelato which was fantastic.
This was one of the best Italian meals I have had. The homemade pasta was delicious and the appetizers were excellent. We also ordered the burrata and zucchini flowers to start and then, I got the Magliati truffle oil pasta and my fiance got the ravioli of the day, which was stuffed with red peppers, artichokes, and brussel sprouts. Everything was delicious! If we are back in New Hartford, we will definitely return.
Nice find - thank you Open Table reviewers. We were on the road, and figured we'd be in West Hartford around dinner time and looked for a highly rated restaurant, and Treva filled the bill nicely. Parking was difficult (there's a large municipal lot out back, but it required waiting for a spot), and the place is only so-so with regards to decor, but the food was very fresh and creative. The two of us had pastas following salads and both the linguini with shrimp in a vodka sauce, a special, and the lamb ragout tagliatelle were made a little different by the addition of asparagus, providing a nice crunch. The linguini also had some artichokes, which my son thought detracted from the dish. The wine list is a bit esoteric, but is very reasonable as is the entire menu.
Thank you fellow reviewers.
Great food and service
We had a perfect time. I was back the next night for Happy Hour. Love that place!
Delicious food, wonderful wait staff - out of the first bottle of wine we ordered, but everything else was exceptional. Greg let us stay and chat as long as we wanted with no pressure to leave.
We have been to Treva many times and are never disappointed. There is a great variety of menu items and specials, portions are very acceptable and pricing is reasonable. We will be back very soon!
Excellent food and service
The food was phenomonal and the service was friendly and patient. I had a wonderful meal and enjoyed great foods.
We have been 5-6 times and the foo, service is great! I like Treva because its been consistent.
Just fine. Service was great, portions were good
Food was average but certainly acceptable
Great food and great service -- high marks on the important stuff. But I'm not sure it was truly a great choice for a special occasion. I indicated when I made the reservation online that this was a birthday dinner, but this did not come up at all with the staff. No mention. Also, the ambiance features many of those tiny bistro tables where you sit on top of other couples. They tried to seat us at one of those but we insisted on something larger. If not for that, would not have had room for all our food etc. So, bistro tables strike me as more of a casual place than an occasion restaurant. Also, the place was pretty noisy!
poor service over cooked eggs
We enjoyed our dinner at Treva. Calamari was tender and delicious!
we have been 3 times and so far its been consistent.
Excellent food and service. It is easy to recommend Treva to friends.
Food and service were outstanding as always! The squash blossoms are a favorite and the scallop and veal dishes - however prepared - are wonderful.
Food was outstanding. Ambiance very nice but noisy and tables were close. Ran out of agave.
Treva is a favorite restaurant. Always excellent food with a good variety of offerings. I highly recommend it for those of us in the West Hartford area.
From Happy Hour to dinner......we have never been disappointed! Fabulous ravioli and fig ice cream......and the rest of the menu!
Business lunch. I had the chicken Panini for lunch, found it very bland. Two of my colleagues also had Panini’s they were both disappointed. We started with the calamari, that was good. Overall it was just OK.
Great food and wonderful atmosphere
All positive! Server was totally knowledgeable in the food prep and made recommendations that were right on. Calamari appetizer was among the best I’ve had elsewhere. Had an early dinner, but still had to deal with a high noise level, making any meaningful conversation difficult, but not impossible. I will most definitely return to Treva.
always a good place for a business meeting, food choices are clean foods, if there is something not on the menu they will prepare for you. Reasonable prices and great service. My go to place for meetings
