Everything was fantastic as always!
My wife and I were visiting Breckenridge and decided to have dinner at Traverse. We were seated at a table against one of the windows. We loved the view, had great food and service. We would have given the visit a five star but your bartender was waiting on the table next to us and was carrying on a “LOUD” conversation with the diners at the table (I think he knew the couple at the table) that my wife and I couldn’t hear each other speak. It was very annoying and unprofessional of that bartender. We would come back if we know, in advance, that the bartender is not working on that given night.
One of the best meals we have had, with the most incredible views. Highly reccomend.
I had the elk my wife just had a large salad the elk was incredible the Ambiance was very nice with beautiful views the service was excellent overall a great dining experience would definitely recommend
Stan the host was exceptional and very entertaining and attentive. Stefani our server was GREAT too.
Dinner at Traverse for our party of 6 last night was wonderful! Everyone was delighted with the appetizers, entrees and cocktails. The staff was both engaging and careful. The view is spectacular!
Loved this restaurant! Besides the great view, the food, wine & dessert were all delish! I had the trout & my husband had the elk tenderloin. We will return.
The only positive thing about our meal was the service.
We have a very good dinning experience at Traverse. The food was very good, consistence through out the whole dinner. My steak was cooked as ordered, and our waiter recommended a very good bottle wine. But the view is absolutely the star of the show here, with one of the best views of all of the peaks of Breckenridge ski resort.
I would highly recommend making a reservation during sunset.
Great meal and great view.
All of the staff seemed to be extremely stressed when there were only 4 seated tables. Our server rushed us to put in our orders because the “kitchen was closing soon”, and took a long time to get our cocktails because the bartender was on break. Overall, the staff were nice we just felt rushed and the food was just alright. Not what we were expecting from a “fine dining” restaurant.
We are at Traverse on 3/28/21 - the food was great - Brussels Sprouts appetizer was outstanding. We had the cod special and the Chicken entree, both outstanding as well. Add to that the stunning views from the table where we sat, and it was a spectacular evening! We will definitely be coming back again! Great value for money too!
Although we arrived early, they made the effort to accommodate us. The views were amazing even though there were intermittent snow showers. It is a little out of town but easily reached if you have a car. The dinner was delicious.
Beautiful view of Peak 8 and the mountain range. The food was very good and the service was attentive
Food was good, server was attentive. Our drinks didn’t come to us all together and two went to the wrong people. One meal came out incorrect. The charcuterie board was piled high. I had the pork shank. It was delicious. The restaurant wasn’t packed and we enjoyed a fairly quiet enjoyable dinner with some minor hiccups. Would eat here again.
The presentation and flavors of our dishes were outstanding.
Cute restaurant but setup leaves majority of guests unable to enjoy views. Don’t believe this to be a CoVid thing just the natural way restaurant is situated in building. Good food but mostly paying for ambiance.
We came for my husbands birthday and were excited to celebrate. The service ended up being very slow, and our server, while very nice, was inattentive. It started with taking our order. We waited over 30 minutes to put it in. When we got our appetizer, it had a small amount of pita bread for the dip, so we requested extra, which took another 20 mins and the appetizer got cold. Once our food arrived (brought by another server) no one came back to check on us. There were a couple opportunities where we wanted to order extra drinks, but didn’t due to not having anyone check on us. Overall, a poor experience for a place we expected to have decent service
Don’t go! Bad food
Great location on Main Street in Breck. Fabulous food and good service.
This place has a beautiful view it is a great date night restaurant. For appetizers had the Mushroom Ragout and the Shrimp which were both on the special menu. Dinner my husband has the Cod which was great and I had Chicken Francaise and was the best sauce I ever had. All the staff were excellentI would definitely recommend this restaurant.
This place has AMAZING food and an even better view at the top of the mountain.
Family ski trip diner. Great food! Outstanding view!!
Excellent food and beautiful atmosphere waitress was very good
We had dinner at Traverse twice, on 3/7 and 3/8. Both times we ordered off of the chef's special menu and had the whole trout, the pork schnitzel, beef consomme soup and the cheesy mushroom app. It was all excellent. I didn't eat that much of my food because I think I'm dealing with a little altitude sickness and have little appetite. But I ate what I could and my husband finished off the rest of mine in addition to his.
We stayed at The Lodge at Breckenridge, and it was so nice to have an upscale restaurant at the place where we were staying. Food was wonderful, views were magnificent!
The host was a bit rude but lit meal was wonderful. Good food!
A must visit while in Breckenridge! The View of the Slopes and range opposite all together with the Valley below is the perfect Rocky Mountain Ski setting.
Cocktails were terrific and Food was Very good! No reason not to have a GREAT experience there. Go at Sunset! Also is in an incredibly close proximity to Town... It is no further out of the Way then any restaurant without a view in down town. Such a worthwhile experience!
Incredible service, even better food!!!!
It was nice to find another good dining place in Breck with a fantastic view! We will be back for sure!
Order the charcuterie board and you’ll know why I gave this place two stars
I was expecting a little nicer ambience since the food was pricier and it was supposed to offer beautiful mountain views. Service was so so, and the entree which was a pork tenderloin with plantains and rice was mediocre. The plantains were not ripe and very tough and chewy. Plus the restaurant is well outside of town by a couple miles so it's not close to anything. Overall we probably wouldn't go back again unless we were staying at the resort.
Overall Traverse is a solid pick. You drive up on a mountain for a mile or two which is neat. Kind of a rustic hotel restaurant feel. Warm, good food and service.
View is great food is pretty mediocre though
The food wasn’t good. Mine was an overcooked tough my strip with hard undercooked veggies, zero options to substitute. My daughters pasta was like chef boy r d. Def not worth the money, def will not recommend or return.
Food quality was nothing like the several visits over last year or two. Below average of any RESTURANT at this price point. We had chicken, Elk, and beef—no one thought any part of meal was even average for Breckenridge area Restuarants. Service was average not and that’s with 20 minutes before a drink order was taken.
Food choices were wide and covered many palettes. Unfortunately the quality was not equal between the menu items. overall the ambiance, wine selection, and flavors were excellent. the highlight: the elk was unique, not gamey and perfectly cooked.
Very impressed! Everyone at the table had the Elk Tenderloin and it was incredible. We got a window seat and the view was truly spectacular. I would recommend an early dinner here before/during the sunset to make the most of the breathtaking view. We kept remarking that with a view like that, they could serve bad food and still be packed. But the food was great too! No complaints here.
Great location & views. Wonderful service. Food was good. I’ve had better for less $$ but I still think it was worth going.
We didn’t get a window table as we were hoping, but you could see the views are phenomenal. Food was good, waiter was great.
