Trapper's Chop House
Extremely poor service, took a good 25 min to get a drink order in, and way too long to get food, even almost had to beg to get the check! Will not return.
Decent food but really overpriced for the quality and limited menu.
We have never experienced a less than great experience but our dinner experience on 1/6/19 was very disappointing. We went there for our daughters birthday, service was very slow and we had to flag our waiter down numerous times to ask for items missed. Our waiter would go missing after requesting things like (silverware, table bread, refills on soft drinks and water) so we would ultimately have to flag someone down. In an effort to try not to lose focus on the occasion that took us there we still over tipped the waiter because that’s just what we do but had hoped he would make some effort to acknowledge the issues and he never did. The next day I saw two charges on my card, one amount for $117 and then the amount of our dinner. I’m very upset to see some random charge so I’m waiting to see if it drops off before I call to dispute. Needless to say, we won’t be back any time soon.
We went on a Sunday evening when it was not very busy. It was delightfully quiet and peaceful. Our server, Mike, was professional, friendly and attentive - just right. The food was very good and at a price that was appropriate for a "special occasion" at a good restaurant. I want to try their happy hour!
Fun evening. We always do their feature Romancing the Stone. Awesome food and great service.
Great overall always quality dining
Loved it! Food was great and the restaurant was pleasant for conversation.
Not as good as we remembered. The food was good, but not great. Considering the price, they need to do much better.
Our first time here was New Year's Eve. The ambiance was warm & inviting. Service was very good. Food was good, however using the hot rock option, it would have been helpful to have the meat cut and ready to go. We will definitely go back.
Nice atmosphere. Good for special occasions and groups.
This is my 4th time dining and each time I bring friends. They have enjoyed their meals and the staff which are always professional but also friendly.
FOOD WAS FANTASTIC, A BIT PRICEY, BUT GOOD. FRENCH ONION SOUP WAS NOT GREAT, EVERYTHING ELSE WAS GOOD. INCREDIBLE SERVICE!! NICE ATMOSPHERE. OVERALL GOOD EXPERIENCE. KIND OF EXPECTED A VIEW FROM THE RESTAURANT BUT NOT A PROBLEM.
Last year we had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner st Trappers. This year not so much, they switched to a fixed menu that lacked variety and was overpriced for the quality. Service was slow and it was way too loud. They did not have the live music they had last year either. Sadly, the fact remains that there are few good dining options in Parker. We’ll not return to Trappers.
This was our second time visiting this restaurant. Enjoyed the unique Romancing the Stone dining experience. Staff was very accommodative to last minute changes. Definitely would come again.
A great way to enjoy good food and people. Romancing the stone is the best idea I have seen for serving a steak.
The food was good. It was clear that our server was new and nervous. We all ordered from the “Romancing the Stone” speciality portion of the menu and no direction was given as to how to cook our meats or the accompanying sauces. There were some other service hiccups as well. In a
Probably our last time here. Food was so-so but price was very high. Service very slow. Quality of cocktails really went down. Very disappointed since this used to be one of our special places.
Nice quit restaurant, with a nice view if you get an outside table. The food was awesome and a good size. The hostess was very friendly when we walked in and left. Our server was making sure we had everything we needed and came back frequently to clear off the table and refill drinks.
The quality of the food is only surpassed by the service. 5 stars all around
Love this place, was my first time there and I want to go back. They have a cook your steak in a hot lava stone option! So much fun!
Service was incredibly slow, the chef didn’t know how to make the yummy jalapeño cheddar mashed potatoes and the lobster tail for $20 add on fee was super small. Disappointed as this used to be our favorite spot for special occasions
Trapper's was a nice surprise. I took my elderly Dad there before the symphony. We both didn't want an incredible amount to eat so we ordered salads, one with steak, and a soup to start. We were not at all pooh poohed for not ordering a large amount or a more expensive dish. My Dad's glass of wine was very much to his liking. Skylar was our server, he gave us more time to make our selections and was attentive but not hovering over us. The food was very good, and the steak on my salad was cooked to my specifications perfectly. So, even though our bill was lower because of our smaller appetites we very much appreciated Skylar's service and the chef's preparation with a generous tip. We did not have an upper scale quality restaurant to go to in Parker but now we do.
Went here for anniversary and everyone was so nice and friendly, they gave us a really good experience for our first time and for our anniversary.
A bit disappointed.
We’ve been there before and food was excellent, not today. Maybe the chef was away for Thanksgiving
We sat at the bar and had excellent service! Food was outstanding, make sure to always try the volcanic rock cooking!
I had a great time celebrating the United States Marine Corps Birthday! The food was amazing! I had the scallops and they were the best I'd ever had!
Wonderful dinner and exceptional service!! I made my special occasion even more special!
Food over priced quality okay lobster tail small for$20 and risotto undercooked service was good though.
Service was amazing and the food was delicious. Will be back again!
We celebrated 2 Birthdays one was 16 and one was 40. The food was great and Mike our server was very friendly and attentive.
They need a better desert menu. Service is hit and miss.
The waiter never came back to see if we were ok. We asked for bernaise sauce and never got it and then we waited so long for our check we never got desert and were late for our show at the Parker Performing Art Center. Disappointed, normally this place is better.
The food here is very good. Romancing the stone is fun and you can cook your steak to exactly the way you want it.
The service can be slow on some days but overall it's a great restaurant.
It was our first time at Trapper so we didn’t know what to expect. Even though there was a view of some of Parker’s lights, it was hard to see once we were sitting. When we got our Lobster, my date’s order was wrong. Between the time we notified someone that there was a problem with the order and our meals finally getting back to our table, the food was cold. We were hungry so, we didn’t say anything more. But for the prices (and the did take some off our check), the food should have been served at the proper temp. Also, there is an option to cook your food at your table! The smoke from others that took advantage of this option, filled the dining room. We smelled of smoke and my eyes were burning by the time we left. I will recommend Trappers to others but, I will also tell them what to expect.
Hot Rock is great. Steak was excellent. Drinks were excellent. Mark and Andy provided great service.
I find Trappers consistency good, and it’s great to have fine dining so close to home.
After reading positive reviews of Trappers, I thought we were in for a nice birthday dinner for my wife. Once it was all said and done, it was a let down instead. I tried a stead on the "Romancing the Stone" menu thinking that would be a fun experience. The teenager who brought my food out had no clue about what the best way to cook the steak was. No advice whatsoever. So here I am with a steak and a 500 degree stone. I let it cook for a few minutes per side and cut into it to find it still raw at the center, I cut some slices off to quicker cooking only to get it to medium. I would have thought that if that's their schtick, they would give patrons some advice or tips on how to cook your steak to your liking. I would have asked our waiter as well, but he didn't bother to stop by until we were completely done with our meal. If Trappers is going to try to act like a premier steak house, they have a long way to go. Not even a mention of my wife's birthday either which was a tad disappointing as I did mention it on the reservation. Oh well, not going to go back.
The food was good and the service was ok. I guess I expected more because of the prices.
Frequent visitor to Trapper's ever since they opened. Never had a bad experience there, excellent food & service and "Romancing the Stone" is great fun. Highly recommended.
Good service, not great but good. Food is always spot on, very good. Wife has Lobster and I had Steak. Onion soup was ok, would not order again.
Restaurant needs to be updated, new vibe. Its old
