Staff was very friendly. Quality of food was excellent as well. I was in the restaurant business for over 36 years and one thing as a professional bartender and service, no type of swearing was allowed, even if the customer said a curse word. To some, 'damn' may not be considered a 'bad word'. Unfortunately, the world we are in today, there is very little respect or everyone assumes its ok to say whatever they like. With that being said, we still enjoyed our dining experience.

I was very disappointed with the brunch. The eggs were all basically the liquid kind that are rubbery and flavorless. The sausage gravy was what comes frozen in a bag and then just heated up. The shrimp had to be peeled, which I know is ok for some but I don’t like to have to work that hard for my food or get that messy so I avoided it. The prime rib did look good, but I like my meat well done so I did not have any of that. There was some weird sauce on the French toast that gave it a funky flavor. The bacon was very good though. A big disappointment was the breads and pastries that the menu made sound like there would be a vast array of these but the only breads I saw were bagels and regular bread that you could put on the toaster if you wanted and the only pastries were I think what looked like a pumpkin pie, which I don’t care for so I did not try it, some brownies that looked very pale and dry so I did not try them either and then two smaller items that I did try each of and were both terrible in flavor. The waiter was friendly enough but I ask for decaf coffee and it was lukewarm at best. He came and refilled my cup which was nice and hot but only to find that it was regular and not decaf, (I am very sensitive to caffeine), I ask for more decaf and he never did bring me any. There really were no positives to my experience unfortunately as I was really excited for my 17 yr old son and myself to have an amazing brunch before we started on our journey back home from a week long vacation in Williamsburg. I wouldn’t have minded the over $100 bill if it would have been a vast buffet of amazing chef prepared food that I was expecting but it was anything but that. I’ve had better breakfast buffets at an Eat n Park or a Shoneys than what we had at Traditions. I know a lot of people seem to think it was wonderful. I guess it’s all in your expectations and what you’re used to. Needless to say I would not recommend it. Williamsburg is a lovely place to visit though!

Sunday brunch is fantastic! The fluffiest scrambled eggs along with made to order Omelettes. Prime rib melts in your mouth. Chef’s special change’s and is always wonderful. Definitely worth the trip!

Greetings. This was my husband and my first time at Traditions so we decided to select the Sunday brunch. It was absolutely delicious! Everyone at the restaurant was courteous, accommodating and super nice - the front door attendants, the wait staff, the cook, and managerial stall. We look forward to attending your establishment again soon.

My family and I had my 35th breakfast brunch here during our vacation and it was perfect! The staff were are very nice, the food and drinks were excellent, everything was clean and tended to. It was really an amazing experience. The price was a little high, but I expected such. It was still well worth it.

Traditions Sunday Brunch was a 5 star experience. From the excellent prime rib carving station, omelet bar, salmon, perfectly seasoned shrimp, biscuits and gravy, and superb wait staff; we were blown away. Our waiter was personable, efficient, and deserving of praise. Highly recommend!

This is the best brunch in Williamsburg! Made to order omelets. Smoked Prime Rib. Don’t know what they do to make the scrambled eggs so delicious. Chef’s special changes. As does the soup and quiche. Fresh fruit and shrimp along with Danish pastries. Pace yourself and you’ll be able to enjoy a sample of everything!

We had Sunday brunch one morning and breakfast the next. The service is excellent. The wait staff and chef are the best. I have several food allergies, and they were amazing. Worked with me with no cross-contamination. We look forward to coming back again in the future.

My family has been driving from Richmond to the Williamsburg Lodge for years just to celebrate a special occasion at the Brunch buffet. In earlier times, it was a big, lavish, delicious affair that we all talked about and made plans for our next occasion. Our young sons loved a trip with their parents when The Lodge dining room was the destination. This Father's Day, we found the dining room very clean and the waiters attentive. The food was adequate and the only suggestion I have is to clean the shrimp before serving. The chilled steamed shrimp were big and beautiful but when the shell was removed, the dirty, dark vein of waste matter was still intact. Not appetizing and I would not eat it. Omlettes were delicious.

This was Sunday Brunch for my 72nd birthday. Delightful in every way. The food was exceptionally delicious. Steamed shrimp, chef's fritatta, and French toast with hot syrup were especially notable.

We had Sunday brunch to celebrate my sister's birthday. Everything from the food to the waitstaff was wonderful ! They even brought out a special birthday plate of delicious treats for the occasion. Truly, a fabulous buffet. We look forward to returning soon.

Mico was a very attentive and accommodating server. I’m pregnant so he suggested the rooibos tea for me and he also had the kitchen crew cook the prime rib to well done. The food was great but they could add guilt-free options for the dessert as well.

We had reservations at 11:00 am for the Sunday brunch buffet. The food was good as expected for a brunch of this type. Be aware, if you are earlier than this time, some of the lunch type items such as the prime rib a may not be available.

The buffet was wonderful… quality and quantity of food perfect for the season. Our waiter was great, as well. We felt well cared for. The deduction we would make is ambiance. A bit lower lighting and perhaps playing some Christmas music would have made this experience a 5 star.

Unfortunately, the poor quality of the food was the overall disappointment. Well, and the response of the manager to my inquiries about gluten free options. (He also booked it out of the restaurant right at closing, leaving the rest of the staff to clean up.) The buffet consisted of some over-seasoned shrimp, a sad fruit salad, low quality sausage patties, some decent salads, some scrambled eggs, completely burned pieces of fried chicken (at least that’s what I thought it was), and a few really unimpressive desserts. There was no color, except the salads, other than brown. When I asked about gluten free bread items that were indicated on the menu, I was shown the “gluten free station” which consisted of some pre-packaged blueberry muffins (sad looking) and several slices of gf bread and a toaster that was tucked in a corner that I missed it in my first perusal of the buffet. The prime rib station sat empty for about 15 minutes until more was “cooked?” Unfortunately, when it came out it too was brown, and dry. No au jus or anything. The saving grace was the omelet station, albeit manned by a young man who couldn’t even make conversation-the omelet was delicious! Our waiter was exceptional and personable. He saved the experience! All in all not anywhere near worth the $39.99 a head that we paid!

My reservation was for “lunch”, but the only offering at 1 pm was a buffet brunch. The food was mediocre, and the star offering (prime rib) ran out before we could get any. Despite promises of more to come, it never appeared during the 80 minutes we were there. The server meant well, I believe, but taking our drink order even before our coats were taken off and we were seated was a bit odd. The brunch was priced at $40 - definitely steep! We have eaten at the Lodge before. This visit was a complete disappointment. We won’t be eating there again.
