This place is always a joy to visit when I’m in town. Excellent cocktails, food, and staff.

This is our third time over the past 4 years. This experience was not upto the other two. Whole the food and drink was consistent the service was uncoordinated and poor. We arrived for our reservation on time the table was not ready. While not a big deal it was suggested we sit in the bar and have a drink. Other tables sat down after us to eat and a server came over. 15 minutes later we were still sitting in the bar waiting for someone to come over to offer us a drink or even water. After another 5 minutes I we back up the the check-in stand and asked for service . Someone finally came over to take our Drink order. We finally were taken to our table and had two different waiters come over to try and take a drink order. One server did not look happy that the other one had been by. Drinks were slow.. we ourselves a pupus platter for the table along with dinner. There were four of us but the platter was for 3. While not a big deal. Getting a server to refill water and ice tea was trying. Given this level of service we would not recommend Trader Vic’s

As always the food and ambiance was excellent as was the service. It had been a year since my last visit to Trader Vic's and I was a bit surprised at how much prices had increased during that time. It has become a much more expensive place to dine than before. I recommend Trader Vic's for great food.

We’ve enjoyed the casual lounge on a number of occasions and always had good service. We ate in the dining room last night for a special occasion, seven in total. We were seated promptly and then did not see a server until I managed to flag down the hostess—. 20 minutes later. The bus boys were hustling the whole time but I never saw a waiter/waitress in the entire dining room during that time. A lady came over and took our entire order and promised to pace out apps and entrees. Another 20 minutes passed before apps and drinks arrived, along with one of the seven entrees which we sent back. After about an hour in total we met the actual waitress and I realized the gal who initially took our order was an emergency fill in. The food is tasty, nothing special, but is satisfying. All in all very inattentive service and I noticed on our way out the lounge was full and most staff seemed deployed in there. I realized there is no advantage to eating in the dining room and will pop into the lounge for a casual experience going forward.

Legendary Tiki experience not to be missed. The drinks are excellent, and the food is always better than I expect it to be. Service was good, nothing super duper, but totally fine. The prices are definitely on the high side, but that has always been the case. I can remember going to the Trader Vic's in Boston in the early 70's with my dad, it was overpriced then, still is now, and I still love going there. Definitely the place for special occasions or when you want to give out-of-town guests a real taste of the Bay Area. Although the location is not the original, Emeryville is where Trader Vic's got its start, so this is pretty much the original Trader Vic's. It's worth spending a couple of extra bucks for that experience in my book.

The flavor and quality of the food far exceeded my expectations. The fun drinks and kitschy decor made me think they wouldn’t care as much about the food but I’m happy to be wrong about that! I loved the jerked chicken and the fun seahorse cup my drink came in. Service got a little slow when our drinks were empty but the manager stepped up and helped our server so all is well. A+ can’t wait to go back!

We had a party of 12 for Graduation Brunch. The food was terrific, and there were options for V/GF folks. The drinks were wonderful!

We had the best time! I don't even have the words. Perfect table. Beautiful water view. Impeccable service. The food was to die for. Best birthday ever!
