So many great memories here and incredible meals enjoyed. Thank you Town for changing the way Hawaii thinks about food.
Great last meal at one of my favorite restaurants. Sad to see Town go. Looking forward to memorable meals at sister restaurants Mud Hen Water and Kaimuki Superette.
I had one of most amazing dinners that I literally dreamt about the same night. I will really miss Town when it closes. As always, their gnocchi was to die for. I don’t even like or ever eat chicken and I couldn’t get over how fantastic the chicken tasted!!
Best dinner ever. Still thinking about our night there.
I understand that they are closing but this was not a good final experience. Our food took over an hour and a half to get to us. A Goan hour we asked when our food would be coming especially since everyone around us had gotten their food. We were told it was coming and there they were out of some of the things we ordered. Why were we not told that when we placed the order or shortly after. We think they forgot to put our order in but no one took responsibility. Food finally came and things we were old was sold out actually came out. I really wanted dessert but we just couldn’t wait anymore.
We asked for the check and that took a while too so we went up to the bar to get it. It was overall a frustrating last dining experience.
I always wanted to try this restaurant but never did. When I heard they were closing I decided I had try it before I lost my chance. I’m so glad I did...everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! 😋
Always love Town. We’re so sad to see them close!
Town is awesome.
So sad to see it be a victim of COVID 19
Healthy food that borders on gourmet served by a great team in a very pleasant outdoor table location.
The vegan option (not in the menu) was amazing!!! The portions were perfect and everything was tasty, fresh and savory.
We've eaten at Town several times in the past, but this was definitely the best meal we've had there. The little amuse bouche offered by the chef were delicious, the ahi tartare scrumptious, and the Two Ladies pork excellent--crusty on the outside and tender inside. The staff was attentive but friendly. Our only complaint was that the music was a bit loud, making it difficult to converse at times. But we will definitely be back soon. SO GLAD that Town is surviving these hard times for restaurants in the COVID19 era.
love the local chef here, well known on island, but the service and food are always the best !!.. so simple, but SO good..
Overall we had a good time
All of the food was excellent
Service was good
We were 2 diners and had the 4 course
Where the night fell short was time
Our entire dinner was 2.25 hours
We felt this should have been 1.5 hours
Love coming to this spot because the food and service are always great.
I always enjoy eating at Town. The food, service, ambiance are always top-notch.
Amazing food and cocktails!
Very great service and food was excellent as always
Their social distancing protocol is serious yet comfortably infused with TOWN culture. If you know you know. The Bartender is on point- try his fig leaf thingy... The food (trimmed down menu understandably) is back-to-basic TOWN comfort food favorites with updated interpretations. The winner is the 'new' chicken dish. You will not miss the original! Mahalo TOWN!
Everything we ordered was delicious, especially the tartare and the pasta dishes. The tables were well spaced and we saw staff cleaning frequently. We felt very safe, especially at the outdoor tables. The staff was friendly and very welcoming and it was a great dinner!
Great atmosphere, friendly service with great dishes that tastes handmade with exceptionally sourced ingredients.
Another great meal at Town. I've never had a bad one.
great food and service. one of my favorite places to eat.
Our welcome hostress was exception. She walked me to front of the restaurant showing me where I could park. She also came to our table and gave us some highlights of the restaurant.
Food was very tasty and artisanal. Volume was only average in size and my son did not feel "full"....( I have 3 teens with me...)
Pricing: It feels like $$$ (3 dollars sign and not 2)
Ambience: nice and quiet.
Service: our waitress was a nice lady I am sure...perhaps a warm smile could be kind
They did such an amazing job with having us feel safe and distant from other tables. We appreciate the outside space and service~ Mahalo
Town has delicious, unique, and flavorful food. The ambience is relaxing, and pleasantly modern. Our server was excellent, very friendly, and helpful. Town is one of my favorite restaurants.
It is so great that town has reopened. It is like coming home.
It’s good to have Town reopened.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meat at Town; our server, Valentina, was attentive and informative; my wife had the gnocchi and I had the beef cheeks. Both meals were outstanding; we liked the small town feel of the restaurant in a big tourist city. Go there and enjoy!!!
Reading the menu before, it sounded great! But I was disappointed with the food. Whatever ragu is put on the gnocchi was oily and my gnocchi was SWIMMING in oil. The pork was dry. The polenta was also a little bland and swimming in oil. Overall disappointing
Food was fantastic and our server, Page, could not have been more helpful or personable.
Amazing food, loved the carrot and kale salad! Fresh fish catch was mahi
Our Out of town guests greatly enjoyed the food and service.
Amazing, chill, and a delight for the palate all at once. Go to Town for meals that are grown by our neighbors and designed by a craftsman.
Great food and terrific waiters but there must be a continuing problem in the kitchen. On a night when the restaurant was only half-filled, it took 30 minutes to get first course of salads and close to an hour to get the main course.
Definitely delicious, but it took 3 hours for the course.
Good food and beverages. Delightful server. Happily we had a table near the back so the noise level wasn't an issue. Our group of three chose a selection of starters, each of which was delightful.
We’ve been going to Town on each visit to Honolulu for over 20 some years. This time was very disappointing. The noise level was so high that we were unable to converse with each other and the server had to ask us to repeat ourselves. The restaurant was full and there were a couple of large parties. This could have been the reason for the slow service. Taking over ten minutes to get the check after asking for it was a bit much. I ordered the gnocchi in pesto with eggplant. I loved the pesto and the eggplant, not the gnocchi. That I will attribute to personal taste. My dining partner had the handcut pasta. I know what al dente pasta is and feel that her pasta just wasn’t cooked. The servers are all very pleasant. It just must not have been our night to go to Town.
sophisticated food, local, and well cooked. friendly service attractive restaurant
