Toups' Meatery es un restaurante cajún contemporáneo que ofrece buena comida, vino, cocteles especiales, una amplia selección de bourbon y carnes frías, todo ello habiéndose inspirado en las tradiciones familiares arraigadas de Louisiana. El chef Isaac Toups representa la nueva generación de chefs cajún por su acercamiento refinado y actualizado de platos rústicos. The food we ordered and the service was outstanding. Karen ordered the Toups Burger and I ordered the Couchon Cuban sandwich. Unfortunately, the fryer was out of service so we were not able to get the Cracklin that we so much enjoy.

Waitress either accidentally misheard our request, or purposely ignored it, when we asked to remove the jalapenos from our pickle plate. We also ordered a cheese plate, only discover many of the same items from the pickle plate. No one informed us. The noise was much higher than expected. My wife witnessed the waitress knock over another customer's purse, and then just kicked it aside. There might be more to the story, but it didn't look good. The menu was interesting, and the food was enjoyable. Maybe we ordered the wrong stuff, but having the same contents on 2 separate orders was a bummer. It was one of the few disappointing dining experiences during our trip to New Orleans.

Outstanding restaurant with items rarely found in dining establishments here such as venison loin, lamb neck and smoked ducked all cooked to perfection. The Meatery Board has a plethora of goodies to whet the appetite. The service was friendly and helpful and exceptionally friendly.

The food, drinks and service was excellent. I asked for suggestions from our server and was not disappointed! We got the charcuterie board and that was plenty filling for the two of us who were not very hungry for a full entree. The charcuterie board was perfect because it gave us a taste of a lot of different items from the sides you could order. We do not normally like pate but finished this one! The special way it’s prepared made it not so gamy tasting, but delicious! I would have loved to bring home some cucumber and squash pickles and the whole seeded mustard but they don’t sell it for the pantry. Chef, I hope in the future you would sell them. We will just have to come back for more!❤️❤️🙏🏼 Deliciously, well done!
