Service was excellent but we were very disappointed with the food...we will try again when things start to normalize and are so thankful for everything Toups has done for the service industry in our community.
Great food, good size portions, took plenty leftovers home. Wait Staff was great. Will be back.
Phase 1, social distancing rules, masks unless you are seated, sad little groups scattered around the rooms. The food was excellent though. I'll be glad to see phase 2.

Make reservation, put your mask on, and enjoy! It's that easy. Chef Toups and his gang are doing a lot for the community right now and deserve your support. Please remember that if you are able the restaurant is accepting monetary donations to help feed in need community restaurant workers' families ( and others ) and also new book donations for the child's library out front ( being a retired 2nd grade teacher I appreciate getting books in the hands of children). Thanks for all ya'll do at Toup's and thanks for a pleasant, delicious, and safe dining experience for lunch on Memorial Day. As usual, the food was spot on......only regret.... I didn't order some more rillons. Yum! Definitely will be back again and again and again.
Best Pork Chop EVER
New Orleans is under Phase One opening for the moment, six feet between customers, limited staff, but the food is better than ever. Trying to support my restaurants the best way that I can.

Four of us went to Toups Meatery on Sunday night. Waiter was very helpful as this was our first time there. We ordered the Charcuterie Board which was plenty for the 4 of us. We then ordered are entrees, which were 2 of the vension, hot fried quail and the lamb shoulder(shoulder being served instead of neck). All of enjoyed the entrees. Vension was very tender with good sauce. The fried quail was spicy, for us fine, but for other people maybe too spicy, and the lamb was very good also. We had 6 pm reservations, so waiter had some time to explain dishes and wasn't rushed as when restaurant got busy later.
Split the meatery board and crab claws. Both very good. Excellent service.

Highly recommend, the food was excellent. Started with boudin balls, spicy pork rillettes and the sausage of the day for the table, everything was delicious. With the mains it was even better. The lambs neck was unbelievable and incredibly rich and flavorful. The seafood couvillion with the crab fat rice was spectacular and the Wagyu steak was excellent. This is a place you must try!
The blue crab were amazing! The greens on the boudin benne were incredible. Drinks were all tasty. A great Sunday brunch!
Amazing. Manhattan cocktail with sweat pork chunk instead of a cherry and for dinner a pork chop the size of my head. Great food, excellent service. I will be back!
I'm a huge fan, especially of the chicken confit.
Really wish I could rate Toups higher. Drinks were inventive, food was awesome, and our waiter was great. But miscommunication between the kitchen and front of house led to issues with course timing, and the corrections that the staff attempted missed the mark. We'd try it again, but at this point there are other places in the city we'd got to first.
There is a reason these guys have multiple James Beard Award nominations.

Toups Meatery was phenomenal and the team did a great job anticipating all of our needs. We came in as a group of 5 for lunch and left stuffed. The sandwiches were delicious and the cracklins are to die for. Definitely worth making a stop on your list for authentic New Orleans eateries!
Brought a friend who never experienced fried Chitlins not Boudin balls. Food was delicious and the staff were so friendly.
She even got to meet the chef !!
