   I ordered the Wagyu steak and it was probably one of the best things I have ever eaten. Our service was also amazing! We have been coming here for years and I cannot recommend it enough.

   Toups is reliably one of the best places in the city. Staff was pleasant, and the food was delicious.

   I’m a regular at Toups and my most recent experience was one more in a consistent series of great meals. On my way to JazzFest, I dropped by for a morning cocktail and refreshing Louisiana lump crab salad. It’s a giant portion of mixed greens, crab, bacon, charred veggies, and pickled quail eggs. There’s a creamy goat cheese that helps grab all the components and the drizzle of dressing highlights each of the distinct flavors. My current favorite cocktail is Lime in the Coconut but there’s a revolving list, so go see what’s to your taste.

   We came in for dinner with our family that visited from out of town. The Toups team delivered incredible service and incredible food. Not a meat eater? Fear not…the seafood couvillion and jumbo shrimp are AMAZING. If you enjoy a nice refreshing cocktail, my favorite of the night was the Sally Fields Forever. If you’re looking to show off to your out of town friends and get them out of the touristy mindset, take them to Toups.

   Excellent Lamb neck that was succulent and fell off the bone. Delicious! Great Sause on the meat and well worth the money. Very creative dish. Who knew that a lamb's neck could be so tasty.

    We went for lunch, so it was not super busy, and the bartender was running everything. He did well especially as the crowds grew. The food is great as always and represents the true nature of Louisiana cooking without being bogged down in the tourist trap menus of much of New Orleans. I have always enjoyed the food and people associated with this restaurant. One of my favorites.
