Toups' Meatery is a contemporary Cajun restaurant featuring fine food, wine, specialty cocktails, extensive Bourbon selection and charcuterie inspired by deep-rooted Louisiana family traditions. Chef Isaac Toups represents the new guard of Cajun chefs for his updated refined approach to rustic dishes.             Our table had the lamb, chicken seafood con. And the cobb salad. All were excellent The turkey neck appetizers and the fried gizzard were awesome.

            Really amazing food after a day at Jazzfest. Waitress made fantastic suggestions with food and wine pairings. We ordered the meatery platter, the special bone marrow and pork belly appetizers, turkey necks, venison and crab salads. Great neighborhood vibe!

            What a fantastic restaurant. I was even lucky enough to meet Chef Toups!! When I sat and saw the menu and the server suggested the burger saying best in New Orleans… I was hesitant to order a burger when I’ve been looking forward to this restaurant for so long. But it is absolutely the best burger I ever had.

            I ordered the Wagyu steak and it was probably one of the best things I have ever eaten. Our service was also amazing! We have been coming here for years and I cannot recommend it enough.

            I’m a regular at Toups and my most recent experience was one more in a consistent series of great meals. On my way to JazzFest, I dropped by for a morning cocktail and refreshing Louisiana lump crab salad. It’s a giant portion of mixed greens, crab, bacon, charred veggies, and pickled quail eggs. There’s a creamy goat cheese that helps grab all the components and the drizzle of dressing highlights each of the distinct flavors. My current favorite cocktail is Lime in the Coconut but there’s a revolving list, so go see what’s to your taste.
