Toups' Meatery is a contemporary Cajun restaurant featuring fine food, wine, specialty cocktails, extensive Bourbon selection and charcuterie inspired by deep-rooted Louisiana family traditions. Chef Isaac Toups represents the new guard of Cajun chefs for his updated refined approach to rustic dishes.             I ordered the Wagyu steak and it was probably one of the best things I have ever eaten. Our service was also amazing! We have been coming here for years and I cannot recommend it enough.

            We came in for dinner with our family that visited from out of town. The Toups team delivered incredible service and incredible food. Not a meat eater? Fear not…the seafood couvillion and jumbo shrimp are AMAZING. If you enjoy a nice refreshing cocktail, my favorite of the night was the Sally Fields Forever. If you’re looking to show off to your out of town friends and get them out of the touristy mindset, take them to Toups.

            Excellent Lamb neck that was succulent and fell off the bone. Delicious! Great Sause on the meat and well worth the money. Very creative dish. Who knew that a lamb's neck could be so tasty.

            We went for lunch, so it was not super busy, and the bartender was running everything. He did well especially as the crowds grew. The food is great as always and represents the true nature of Louisiana cooking without being bogged down in the tourist trap menus of much of New Orleans. I have always enjoyed the food and people associated with this restaurant. One of my favorites.
