Totó Mediterranean Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We went her to celebrate my wife's birthday. Very courteous staff throughout our visit. The food was delivered hot and in a timely fashion. The food was fairly priced and was delicious. The only knock, resulting in 4 stars rather than 5, was my wife's shrimp in her entrée was slightly overcooked making them hard texturally. This was our second visit to Toto and we will be back.
I eat out a lot and I have to say that my meal was one of the best in a very long time. We had the sea bass and scallops with risotto. Atmosphere is very casual and the service could have been a tad better, they needed one more server. Try it I think you will like it.
Toto has some of the most creative and sophisticated dinner offerings in all of Fairfield. It's so good to have a spot with a unique menu all of its own downtown. We also appreciated the lively yet relaxing ambiance and the fabulous service. The pace was unrushed, adding to the feeling of a special night out!
We are repeat customers and will continue to be. We celebrated our anniversary at Toto and to our surprise were greeted with champagne. When asked where we'd prefer to sit we chose outside and received the response he made sure to save the best table for us, without even knowing where we were going to choose to sit. All staff said happy anniversary and then there was a candle in our dessert. The meal was amazing as always and our favorite starter is still the calamari salad.
The always reliable Toto! We've been going for years - as Osianna and now Toto.
The owners/staff are great - friendly, helpful and always cheerful. It took a very long time for someone to take our drink order this time, but this was an anomaly.
Everything we had was very good. It's not outstanding, but consistently very, very good.
I am crazy for the Rocket & Romain and Greek salads. Both are big enough to share. The mussels and chorizo was delicious and I could have eaten the sauce with a spoon - but I used bread to get it all. The whole fish was moist and tasty. On a previous visit it had too many bones left - this time was perfect.
Lemon sole, Bouillabaisse, chicken and octopus are also very good.
I am not a big fan of their pizza - it's fair.
I wish they would put the artichoke pasta back on the menu!!!!
We had Mother's Day dinner here and it was delightful and delicious. Our favorites were the grilled octopus, homemade hummus and the cod special with clam, mussels & chorizo. The service was great- friendly & attentive. We ate on the patio and even through the rain it was enjoyable.
This was a really good dinner. Our server was very friendly, and we learned she was from the Netherlands. They first served us crunchy hot bread with really good hummus. I had a really delicious salad and an excellent chicken dinner. We were full and had to skip dessert. I have been coming to this restaurant for a long time and I really like it.
Service was excellent and carefully managed the balance between being attentive and obtrusive. The food was all prepared very nicely, if not especially imaginative. As customers, we were perhaps challenging, so we appreciated the forbearance. For example, we took forever to order because we couldn't make up our minds but our server Henry was always patient. We lingered a very long time (3+ hours) as we were four friends catching up over a long stretch and were surprised with an extra dessert at the end of it all. The gluten-free options were very helpful as I have celiac and have to be very careful about dining out. The bar menu could use a bit of diversification but the wine menu is quite good. All in all, very worthwhile.
This was our first visit since the restaurant was renamed Toto. Much of the menu was the same as Oceania. We liked the smallness of this fine restaurant and every member of the staff was extremely friendly. Our server was a real professional. We tried several smaller plates and did not order a large entree and enjoyed everything we ordered. The food was very good. Our 6:45 PM reservation was easy in terms of table choices but, the restaurant was full at 8:00 PM. A great place managed by a very professional owner Antonio. Toto needs to be excellent to compete with so many excellent restaurants in Fairfield and Westport. Try it!
