Everything there is amazing !!
Food was tasty. The staff was amazing and the restaurant was immaculate! Happy to be back to restaurant dining. We will definitely be back.
We were seated promptly, greeted by our waiter and then he took our appetizer requests. About 25 minutes later our appetizers arrived. Then about 25 minutes later he came back to take our order. Then about 45 minutes after that our order arrived. We ate, and then 30 minutes after we finished we had to ask our waiter to please provide our check. It just seems that even though we were one of 4 parties in the entire restaurant, the waiter just didn't care to service our table in a timely fashion. That's 50 minutes for appetizers, an hour and a half before food arrives and then 2 1/2 hours before we could finally pay and leave.
Excellent food and service, very cautious and safe environment.
Mothers day brunch was fabulous! So glad you opened, we missed you.
We love Toscano! One of our favorite restaurants!
We love this little restaurant. Everything we have ordered has been delicious. The staff is always so friendly and attentive. Under the current circumstances all the staff were wearing masks and gloves. We were very excited that they were reopened.
The food was just OK. We ordered 4 appetizers. Worst Ahi Tuna I have tried! The other appetizers were just OK. My Salmon meal was great, but the rest of my family was not overly impressed.
This was our first dine-in meal since they eased restrictions. Everything was very clean. Each table had sanitizer. The servers wore masks. There were very few diners. The food was excellent as was the service. It did seem the prices jumped from the last time we were there. Overall, I would recommend them.
Had a terrific dinner last night at Toscano. We love the food, atmosphere and service. They really know how to make you feel at home and comfortable.
The food, the service and the ambiance were very excellent!
We eat at Toscano often and was disappointed by our experience tonight. The service was slow, our waiter didn’t hear some of our order requests and as a result one of the dishes was wrong, my dessert didn’t show up in time to eat it (I had to get it to go) and the bolognese tasted as though it was watered down. It was a disappointing visit especially for the friends we were with as that was their first time eating there. Maybe it was an off night and most likely we’ll be back. But there are certainly opportunities for improvement.
Server asked twice about soda refills and never brought it.
We had reservations and were seated right next to the kitchen and bathrooms instead of in a nicer location.
Great service, food was amazing, would recommend to all as a great spot for food
Celebrated my birthday on Feb. 17th with my family. Great food and atmosphere! My granddaughter loved the bread. Everything we ate was delicious and prepared exactly as we ordered. We'll come back again!
The bread was amazing. Wife’s good came out way before mine. No flavor. Mine came out with no flavor and my chicken was burnt. I scrapped the chicken out of the burnt shell. We never saw our waiter.
The service was outstanding, our server was very personable. The food was amazing, and with it being Valentine’s Day weekend they did an amazing job keeping up with how busy they were. We had a wonderful time celebrating our son’s amazing girlfriends birthday we couldn’t have picked a better place.
Took my wife there for a Valentine’s Day dinner. Swordfish came out raw. sent it back and waited a good 30 minutes before a new order was ready. By that time my wife had finished eating her dinner. Disappointing to say the least. Won’t be returning.
Great customer service and the food was delicious. I am definitely planning in returning..
Recommend? 50/50. The entrance was so dark, it took us two times to get in. Once near the parking lot, we had to park in the adjacent unpaved area. Very uneven with the only illumination coming from businesses to the north. Wouldn't recommend this to a female by herself (or a male) due to darkness.
Once inside, the food was good and the service very good considering how busy Valentine's was.
Always great food and service.
I ordered the chicken parmesan and it was cold when my food was brought out to me. It tasted good, but it was already cold. I had to ask to have my water refilled, which should never happen. Also, I ordered the chocolate lava cake and it was not very lava like. It had a gritty texture and was very bitter. My husband did like his creme brûlée. It was really expensive for the quality of food and service. I was disappointed.
Gnocchi tasted raw. Husbands salmon was amazing. Wait staff was fine but my food was below expectations for me.
We really enjoy this place. Good food, nice ambiance. The service may be a little slow but it's the kind of place where you shouldn't be in a hurry. Everyone is so nice. Great place!
We enjoyed the food. It was wonderful and we intend to return soon. The service was excellent It was our 50th Valentines celebration and we had a wonderful evening to remember
Had a reservation, showed up on time, gave them our name, told to wait, waited 15 min while there were many open tables. Service & food was slow coming. Appetizer melted Brie & Bread, bread was so hard you could not chew, cheese was good. My wife had Chicken Marsala, meal was cold, chicken was burnt and chewy, not good. I had a Seafood pasta. It was really good. Between slow seating and slow food service our meal was very rushed as we had play/theater tickets. Should have sent the food back but did not have time to wait for a new meal. We were there a total 1 hour 15 min.
I took my wife here for a valentines dinner. Our waiter was very professional. The food was delicious. The lightning was dim which gave the place a fancy feeling.
Food was okay, general recommendations of Open Table are spot on, but I as well as others at the table felt the food was bland. It was a slow weeknight, the restaurant was pretty quiet, and the staff did not seem overly busy but unfortunately, I did not feel that he was attentive - I had to ask for water refills. For the price, I would have expected better. Overall experience, I would state it was fair, but in my experience that are better options.
Very slow. After ordering it took an hour to get our food. They food was just okay. It was strange because they want to be an upscale restaurant but don't know how.
Birthday dinner for my wife! Food and service was excellent!
Amazing service. We enjoy their both their lunch and dinners.
Amazing customer service. Everybody was extremely nice and personable. Staff was not overbearing, and we did not feel neglected. The food was delicious, and we did not wait long at all. We had a great experience overall and would definitely recommend to others for a great dining experience.
Nice place for dinner. Joe our server was kind and very helpful. The food was great and everyone enjoyed their meal.
The food was really good but the hostesses could use some training. We had a reservation and were told there were no tables but we could sit at the bar. When I pointed out that half of the tables were open they sat us. I would understand if we were told it would be a few minutes, but no tables was not correct. Other than that I have no complaints.
We had to wait past our reservation to be seated even though there were lots of open tables. The gnocchi was very under cooked and slimy. When we told our waitress she said “Yeah, it’s a hit or miss dish.” Seriously?? Then she offered us some gelato to “make up for it” which we declined. She then brought us our bill and charged us for the gnocchi that we didn’t eat because it was so gross. Customer service was up there with the worse we have experienced. Definitely not going back.
We had a very pleasant meal on a recent visit to Salt Lake City...actually, we returned for a second experience. Ricardo (our server) was excellent. Only suggestion to the restaurant -- lose the plastic straws that are served with drinking water! Our societal consciousness of plastic waste is growing fast. So much of this waste will be around hundreds of years after we are gone. You could always move to an alternative, or at a minimum, make straws available on request rather than served in every water glass as folks are seated. Thank you!
Food rating 4 because the chicken marsala was just ok and very small portion for $26. The butternut lasagna with steak on top was amazing. You have to eat it there bc taking it home is a terrible left over. It's a big portion so be hungry!
Service rating a 2 because we made the reservation under the notes that it was our anniversary. I didn't need a special Entourage or anything, but a comment from hostess saying happy anniversary, or maybe the waiter could have been notified to acknowledge it, anything. We did have a coupon the waiter showed manager about our anniversary, and STILL nothing. We walked out of there and my husband didn't care but i felt just that - nobody cared.
Food was pretty good. Service was great. Server was very attentive to us. He kept checking on us every few minutes. Because of that we were in and out very fast. Have a good kids menu.
We had mixed feelings about our experience as Toscano. Some meals had generous portions, but some had meager portions. Especially given the price of an entree, we did not think this was good value for the money. For example, my son ordered Chicken Parmesan, and his meal had a very large piece of breaded chicken on a bed of pasta. My wife and I each ordered Chicken Marsala, and we received a small chicken breast - 1/3 to 1/2 the size of what my son received - and a huge pile of noodles with three asparagus spears. The Chicken Marsala dish cost $25, which is high compared to other restaurants, and the portion was very disappointing.
On the plus side, the waiter was very attentive, made good suggestions on the menu, and offered to bring the children's meals out at the same time as the appetizers. The appetizers (baked brie and cheese bread) were good and well-sized.
While we were at our table, we heard another patron loudly complaining to the manager about poor service and some incorrect dish. Our conclusion is that we will explore other restaurants before returning to Toscano.
