                          When paying $100 per person for a meal you want things to be right. One our party of six was served the wrong dinner (someone else's plate from another table.) He had to wait ten minutes for his plate while the rest of us ate before the food got cold. The steaks were very tender but overly salted. It was difficult to taste the meat because they were so salty.

                          Tony's is a top-notch upscale restaurant located in downtown Lexington, KY across from Rupp Arena on main street. Doors open onto Main Street, behind the valet parking guys. Our reservation was for 6pm and we were seated quickly. Jay was our server and he was terriffic. Knowledgeable, efficient but not hovering our every move. We ordered drinks and the bartender made me a very respectable Rob Roy. Sourdough bread came with their signature whipped butter and honey butter. Jay went through the specials and answered our questions about their crab cakes (Yes, they have onions in them, no green peppers and just enough breadcrumbs/filler to keep the crab meat from falling apart). My bride ordered the tomator bisque with king crabmeat and the crab cake appetizer as a main course. I ordered the special caprese salad and the pasta pescatore. The appetizers came quickly. Tomato bisque creamy with lots of crab. PERFECT tomatoes with what seemed to be a creamy combination of ricotta and mozzarella over garden greens with a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Both were perfect in presentation and taste. The entrees came were equally delightful. A huge softball size crabcake, just gently cooked or baked/broiled (NOT fried to death). The pescatore was a tasty combination of scallops, shrimp, clams and mussels in a slight spicy, rich tomato reduction. That said, because of the birthday celebration, a complimentary slice of NY cheesecake to take home. Dinner was compemented with a half-bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. The manager came over to check on the tables. By 7pm, the restaurant was full - not packed - with servers and assistants efficiently handling the patrons. It's not inexpensive, but with the quality of food and service, it shouldn't be. Their steaks and other menu choices come highly recommended. So for that special dinner or event, Tony's is a top choice in Lexington.

                          Fantastic from start to finish. We will definitely be returning. Mason was an excellent server. Very knowledgeable. Lily assisted and was great as well.

                          We both ordered pasta dishes, the Rig-a-Tony and Carbonara. I loved the Pasta and the sauce of the Rig-a-Tony but didn't love the meat, it was tough and dry. My husband had the Carbonara and enjoyed the chicken but felt that the sauce lacked flavor. We had the brownie and ice cream for dessert and enjoyed it but didn't love it. The sourdough bread and mashed potatoes (I know, a weird side to order with pasta but I love their potatoes) were both wonderful!

                          First time ever at this restaurant. Jeremy is hands down one of the best servers I’ve ever had anywhere, and I eat out 150 nights a year. The food was really wonderful - probably one of the best seasoned steaks I’ve ever had - but I would (and will) come back for Jeremy. Great restaurant!
